At least nowadays, your demigodness isn't taking away a trans skill!

How exactly does one put a salve on top of the list? Drop the vials and pick them one by one in a particular order?
DROP 50 VIAL
GET SALVE
GET 49 VIAL
If you have more vials, or runed vials, and/or use bottles too, adjust accordingly.
Esano2010-05-17 22:28:04
Of course, you can also POUR VIAL INTO EMPTY then POUR SALVE INTO EMPTY, which should work assuming you have an empty vial.

If your first vial is empty, that'd solve nothing. Zallafar's solution seems like the easiest and reliable to me, if you have less than 50 vials (so you can use a pack or similar to prevent anything happening to dropped vials),
Aerotan2010-05-18 02:27:34
If your first vial is empty, that would ignore the first one as invalid, and skip straight to the salve into empty, I'd think.

Would I be able to attach one of these to a magic scroll?

probe mairim
With a broad chest and large paws, a fierce timberwolf is sleekly muscled and covered in thick gray and brown fur, separated horizontally across the middle of its body. Luminous golden eyes carefully survey its surroundings, ears constantly twitching to aid it in its search for prey. Spread paws are perfect for balancing its weight, and only a soft padding accompanies its movement, enabling it to stalk prey stealthily. Its jaws are clearly powerful, with razor-sharp canine teeth ready to puncture enemies and tear flesh mercilessly. He is called 'Mairim.'
A fierce timberwolf is not one to be trifled with.
He weighs about 100 pounds.
He is loyal to Centaur Brother Everiine Silverwolf, Totem Warrior.
A fierce timberwolf is holding:
Nothing.

You cannot see what a fierce timberwolf is holding.

I don't recall seeing the bolded part before on a hunting companion-- what would cause it?

My guess would be:
CODE
ECOLOGY - ANIMALGROWTH
Syntax: ENLARGE
Power:Â Â 5 (any)
You can temporarily enlarge any animal, increasing its size and strength.

Yeah, I found out later that that was probably it.

Well, if that was the case the POUR SALVE INTO EMPTY would hit the first vial anyway.

You cannot attach runes to scrolls, though I often wish you could.
Aramel2010-05-18 12:16:29
If you could, it would be a bummer to read the last charge and have it explode.

Yes. They start with somewhere around 250 months (can't remember exactly, but mine is at 230 now, so subtract from the dawn of skillflex and that'll be close).
Aramel2010-05-18 12:34:32
Can you rune them? I remember hearing that shield runes were possible, in which case it would be awesome.

No, cause I remember wanting to put the shield rune on mine. I figured, how awesome would that be, to be using a big ol book as a shield!? But, alas.
Sylphas2010-05-18 17:10:19
Shield/gripping/enchantment runes can only be placed on athames, cudgels, staves, symbols, and instruments. We keep asking for more and getting shot down. I really, really want a shield runed Luna doll.

Hello, hello.
I was fairly certain there used to be a list of all the things you could use in a design. Is this true or have I gone senile?
Also, could you incorporate something like scrolls and/or chains in a design? If so, which comms would be needed for that?

DESIGN LISTCOMMS shows you all the commodities you can use, I think.
Not sure about the second one.
