You can travel to Astral spheres that way, but you shouldn't be able to for an Aetherbubble - although it's possible someone melded a room on an Aetherbubble for a domoth or some sort of thing.

I'm assuming that if one were to become a historical family that was a bannerhouse in Magnagora, they would remain as "seconds" to the great house they were loyal to?

Why do I see people melding one room in strange places, like on an aetherbubble or an Astral sphere? You can't travel to an aetherbubble from Prime that way, can you?

May be in a place they want to get to quickly, I know I use a single room meld on my mage/druid characters in order to get to places quickly. Similar to how wiccans use spores.

Fairly certain you can't use manses to get to bubbles. tongue.gif

That would be a bug, and should be reported.

It's a bug to be able to travel between the different spheres on astral? confused.gif

Entirely possible that they set up that room because they needed help killing a denizen or influencing or something.

I think it was prolly that, or like diamondias, someone was using it to get back to a point quickly. Maybe where they could drop off quest items or offer corpses or just be close to the portal so they didn't have to walk all the way back or something. Then they just forgot to dissolve the meld. If I had a dollar for everytime I forgot to dissolve a meld when I played a mage type, I'd be friggin rich. laugh.gif

If it's for travel within the same plane/continent, that's fine. If it's across planes, that's not good. These rooms I've seen are definitely not for hunting/influencing, which was why I asked.

Which is what we were saying. Guess I could see how that could be misunderstood though. confused.gif

If it's at/near the portal, then it's probably so they have a heads-up if an enemy enters the bubble.

I'm going to assume that you mean you've been leaving melds in important locations and not that some greedy Guild Leader is assigning fines for leaving single room melds in the middle of some bubble or astral.

Please do not correct me if I am wrong
Lawliet2010-06-09 17:08:58
You're correct, though I usually only put people on the punishment scroll if they leave a full meld up AND it effects a raid.

suspicious.gif This is an interesting idea.

That said, I heartily recommend a very simple trigger: have your system send (element type)CAST DISSOLVE whenever you qq.

Icewalls and stonewalls don't prevent mobs/monsters from entering/leaving a room, right?
Unknown2010-06-09 17:41:42
Right.

Does anyone have the dropped/examined of the dingbat prayer beads? I have the Lyreth ones, pondering either the Morgfyre or the Kalikai ones now.
