Both the horn and Perfect Fourth attract vermin to your room (anywhere from 1-3 rooms away, I think), but only the server can spawn them. The ability/item doesn't do that.

Pretty sure both of those abilities increase the number in a room from 3 to 5, but I could be wrong, I didn't test a ton as a bard.

I don't think so. I spammed horn and rats still appeared in adjacent rooms. Maybe it just increases the max room spawn until timer reset.

Mimic is so bad. I think it makes one of the specified creature type start slowly walking towards you, but it has no practical application outside of incredibly unlikely circumstances.

The kouseki cactus withers up during the winter. But you can't work on either hand quest at all then anyway. Flowers are gained during the second part of the Hallifax Hand, or from a Dracnari nomad. You need cobras for it though. Two cobras per kouseki, and the nomad only makes red kouseki flowers.

I used to use it all the time hunting. It's great for breaking up clusters of aggressive critters, especially those who don't wander but reset randomly, like the cats in Snow Valley. You lure one of them out of the group, deal with it, and repeat. Just like Ethereal raids!

Doubt it. Only "animals" and I suspect there's no overlap. Lendren never hunted sapient creatures anyway.
