You find it difficult to put on a cheerful frog-eyed hat while wearing the hood
of a starry robe of midnight blue.
wp hat
A cheerful frog-eyed hat has no poisons or magical effects on it.
It's not armour. Should this be happening?

Yes, because you can enchant hats now.
Go get your hat enchanted.
At least, if it is a splendor-type-hat.

I don't think it is a splendour-type hat. Not 100% certain though.

My guess is that a hat is a hat, in terms of being able to wear it. Splendor or not.

I don't think you've ever been able to wear a hat over a hood.

Is this the proper way to set up permissions to keep undesirables out of one's manse?

Depends. If it's a private manse, I just list the people specifically if I want them to have access or not.

Well, I want people to be able to go in and look around. Why else bother making it pretty? I just don't want the wrong people to.
Xiel2010-06-19 09:25:51
Welp, then you'll need to specify groups of people, maybe?
Also, does anyone at all know about the spices Yirchi wants for the Waystation quest? I've asked everyone in the immediate Skarch area about spices and none of them even stir at the mention of it.

You just do exactly what he tells you to do, man.

Are Lusternians in general this unhelpful?
Where are all the kata forging designs? I can only find one for a tahto.
What do I need to do to get access to the city-specific forging designs. I can only seem to find public designs, despite being in the forging cartel of my city.

It's actually pretty useful advice in that situation.

I'm not a cartel person.

Chances are Emberplate won't have too many tahto designs.

How? You try doing what you're told first. If that doesn't work, it's either something wrong, or a syntax hunt. Sounds like the latter to me. Making the "advice" ultimately useless.
But thanks. Seems I couldn't find them initially because my skill in forging isn't high enough.

He tells you to poke the dunes with the shovel for the spice...and you just POKE DUNE WITH SHOVEL, for the spice...

Yeah. Syntax hunt. It's one of the major pitfalls in textbased games.
