On the topic of regeneration, does psymet regeneration stack with loboshigaru racial regen and mercy? How about harmony regeneration?
Unknown2010-07-08 22:44:03
Yes, racial regen stacks with all of those. It's sweet. biggrin.gif

Last time I tested the numbers, Loboshigaru regen ticks for ~8% (the actual number was closer to 7-point-something) max hp.
Mercy enchantment, I believe, heals for a flat amount of hp per tick for everyone.
I haven't tested PsyMet regeneration values yet, but maybe someone else has some numbers for you.
I think Harmony Regen is a flat value times the number of body mantras you're chanting, but I don't know what that value is or if it scales with skill level.

EDIT: None of these tend to synch up, though. All of the regen ticks could happen at different times so, while you're still getting a huge chunk of HP back from all of these sources, it'll come back over the course of several seconds.

EDIT 2: It would be easier to test PsyMet & Harmony regen values if I could turn off Loboshigaru regen. It kind of messes with my tracking, and I only went Tahtetso yesterday so I haven't gotten to test each skill individually yet. And if they scale with skill level, it might be a while before I have enough parses. laugh.gif I just know that when I have all of these active, I regen ~900 hp of my 4.4k max over about 8 - 10 seconds. So... I don't complain.

The way I've always recalled it:

Health regen works on percentages (or other formula), mana/ego are just flat amounts.

You say that like it's a bad thing! This makes the regen more useful, since you're less likely to cap out immediately and miss potential regen due to hitting your max right away.

Is there any way to set aside a specific number of a given object from sale?

As an example, say I have 50 roses. I want to only put 25 up for sale. Is there a single command I can use to do that, or do I have to use 25 single exclusion commands for 25 individual roses?

How exactly do the Planar communication abilities count planes?

If you learn a skill while in a guild and skillflex it out, can you get it back if you are still the same class but not in the guild? Like, say you were a bard with Tinkering. You skillflex it out and quit the guild. Would you be able to get it back since you are the correct class still?
Razenth2010-07-09 03:44:26
Try devoting a bin to objects you don't want to sell and split the objects between bins.

I believe Krellan wasn't able to skillflex any skills back to active when he tried, because you need to be in a guild to do so.

Well that sucks. Oh well.

Is there a very large difference in the damage of MinorSecond from Master to Trans? Or does most of the damage boost come from being Maestro with the selected instrument?

To be honest, I'd like the know the correct answer myself. I can't answer this one with complete certainty, so take it with a grain of salt:

If I remember correctly, the basic five plane system counts them like this: If you're standing on the Prime, both the Basin and the Undervault count as being "on the same plane" even though they're different continents. From there, each Plane counts as being "one plane higher" than the last. So, Ethereal (and all connected realms, like Catacombs I believe) is one plane away; the Elemental Planes are two planes away; the Cosmic Planes are three planes away; and Astral is four planes away.

I have no idea how the cubix Fulcrux (Limbo) is positioned in this system. Aethermanses and ships count as being adjacent to whatever plane they're currently docked with - for example, being docked on a Cosmic plane would make the Elemental and Astral planes adjacent. Since they're usually docked to Prime, they're adjacent to Prime, and possibly Ethereal. Not sure. God realms count as adjacent to Prime, I think.

I could be completely wrong here, but I've never had more than this vague perception of how planes work in this game since I started playing.

The important thing here is that, no, you wouldn't be the correct class if you leave a guild. You only have the class so long as you are part of the guild. You can leave the guild and keep your skills, but you can't learn any of their skills - including any tradeskills linked to the guild, like Spellcraft for Mages/Guardians - or change specialization so long as you're unguilded (I think warriors are an exception to the specialization thing, but I've never before had a warrior to go rogue with).

To elaborate, a novice fresh from the intro tour who hasn't chosen a guild or city is classless. He/she can only pick from the basic list of tradeskills and either Highmagic or Lowmagic. These choices are the same for a rogue anything without a city: you can only choose from the basic tradeskills and either Highmagic or Lowmagic. The only difference is that a rogue with guildskills isn't forced to forget them.

For the "known planes," it counts planes the way you think it should.

If you're in a manse or a ship docked on a known plane, you are simultaneously one plane away from all known planes.

Some places, like Limbo or an arena, are "far away," and can only be reached by broadcast.

Some places, like aetherbubbles, are "very far away," and can only be reached by omniscience.

Wasn't that changed because of how that worked with CosmicSense & scrying? I remember being able to scry anyone on any of the known planes from a manse, but I don't think I can do that anymore. I thought even Estarra said it was just a long-standing bug.

Not a bug initially, but I do see the announce where it was changed. Good catch!

Not what I was hoping for, but I devised a separate, effective solution all the same. Thanks anyways!

In my experience, the biggest damage boost for MinorSecond comes from critical hits. Everything else is marginal.

100% of Music lessons and 33% of Dramatics lessons contribute to MinorSecond's base damage, or so I've been told. I'm not certain just how Maestro affects MinorSecond damage, but what I am sure of is that the effect is negligible at best.

When Felicia was new, owned a shabby instrument and had no significant lessons invested into anything, I believe it took her five uses of MinorSecond to kill a slithering ooze. Now that she has trans Music, trans Dramatics and a proper Maestro instrument, it takes her four uses of MinorSecond to kill a slithering ooze (without any crits).

In summary, you aren't going to notice an earth-shattering difference regardless.
Sylphas2010-07-09 05:10:39
Ah. I thought that was it, but Broadcast threw me off. I was thinking you needed it to project from Prime to Astral.
