No, pretty much all items like that decay/reset no matter what.
Aloysha2010-07-11 13:08:21
Books neither decay nor reset. They cannot be set to reset either.

I've been tossing around an idea for a Bardic which consists of the saga of a Researcher establishing a magical link between an in-realm journal and one that he has with him when he travels out-of-realm...that is, to the real world. Is that pushing the envelope a little too much, do you think?

Myst?

Pah. So I have to get 18 essence in one go. If it is approved.

Well, you have a few options:

sneak onto Cosmic Plane of Celestia to harvest the essence (generally ill-advised, but feasible)
sneak into New Celest; convert other essence to light essence (Chuck Norris option; even more ill-advised, not sure it's even possible)
pay unscrupulous citizen of Celest to harvest the essence for you (cool-evil brownie points option, get them to betray their principles)
pay unscrupulous ally of Celest (i.e. a non-citizen who's allowed on Celestia) to harvest the essence for you (probably most feasible and risk-free option)

Fixed, and a few more added.

Yeah. Revise that quick. Most designs I've seen for enemy 'commodities' like light essence, angels and merians use one or two at the most. If you want something to be very rare and special I'd say cap it at 5.

Edit: And in general I never make a design that requires two different decayable commodities

Oh?

Yeah, clearly I have no idea how light essence is handled (was going by what I knew of Glomdoring, i.e. EtherGlom, Ebenglom Wyrdling to convert, etc.). I didn't realize you could get light essence from Water.

Oh right, it's New Celest. The Merian connection kinda slipped my mind there.

Camels.

Only slightly used! But yeah, I think I will cut down on the need.

What's the going rate for dingbats in gold?
Aloysha2010-07-11 20:26:25
Bout 10K per.

I think you'd be fine. The Bardic I wrote took a bit of liberty, but then again so long as you make it to be a tale instead of fact, I'm sure its ok.

Thanks. Trying to decide whether to buy a Crow doll and sell the leftovers or just sell all of them that I've got so I can buy some equipment.

I found the Crow doll underwhelming. It's usually a good idea to borrow one before you buy one.

On the other hand, I love the Crow doll. Speaking as someone from Glom who follows Crow. wink.gif

Could someone enlighten me as to what dingbats are?
Xavius2010-07-12 02:45:02
Is there a way to block one person's signature without turning off signatures entirely?

I don't think there is, atleast I haven't found an option to turn off only one person's.
