When you say "armour," does that include greatrobes and Splendours?
Obviously, whatever point Xavius is trying to convey has gone far over my head (and I know he knows exactly what he's talking about, so, obviously ignorance on my part).

Yes. They use the same system. As do shields (although they're scaled a bit differently still - they don't contribute the full number everywhere).
Felicia2010-07-13 02:22:34
Right, so....
If armor resistance values are straightforward, that means 50/50 greatrobes offer 50% cutting resistance, and 50% blunt resistance?
And if each level of racial resistance is 10%, that means kephera get 30% cutting resistance and 30% blunt resistance, right? (Well, and 20% psychic resistance.)

Each point is not 1%, or 90/90 plate would mean you'd never die to damage, ever.
I'm not sure how it actually relates.
Felicia2010-07-13 02:25:20
So what exactly do those figures mean? I'm more confused than ever at this point.
Oh.
Well then, I'm still not sure why Xavius corrected me in my presumption that Level 3 cutting and blunt racial resistance (by themselves) are inferior to 50/50 greatrobe resistance.

Do Kephera in Splendours keep up with Fullplate?
Janalon2010-07-13 02:28:07
Is it possible for a guild to have more than two guild emotes?
Xavius2010-07-13 02:58:43
The conversion is just 2:1. 50/50 is 25%.
Felicia2010-07-13 03:13:54
Oh, I see. So racial resistance must be a pure, unadulterated 10% per level (which is what you said, but I didn't know how greatrobes and Splendours were handled at that point).
Therefore a kephera wearing 70/70 Splendours would have 65% blunt and cutting resistance... nice. Slashed by almost two-thirds. (Unless armor and resistances stack in some weird fashion?)

No clue, though it'll probably cost you.

I was quoted a price for a new guild emote and we already have one. So yes, just need to pay for it.

Are innate beast abilities you haven't yet learned in Beastmastery meant to not show up on beast info? And, in the case of winged beasts, will they still sprout awesome wings when they mature if you haven't learned Flying?
Shaddus2010-07-13 06:56:47
Each guild gets one emote free. They have to pay for extra after that.
Shaddus2010-07-13 07:02:15
I was told by someone who should know their stuff, that 1/2 of armour stats = the % damage is cut down. For instance, 90/90 fullplate reduces damage by 45%/45%. I'm not sure if this is true, but it was either Thoros, Vathael, or someone like that who told me this.

I heard that before too.

Well, many people don't listen to Xavius because he is a troll. Shaddus and myself? Totally not not trolls.

Oh, okay.
Xavius can be difficult to get along with, and I had some nasty spats with him myself when I first starting posting... every now and then, though, he says or does something completely awesome. That avatar (which is supposed to portray Arix being jealous of his old avatar) always gives me a chuckle, for example. Additionally, there's no denying that he knows his stuff where the game is concerned.
Also, Shaddus is totally a troll.

Trolls are fat and green and annoying. I'm only two of those, making me a garden gnome.
