Nah, knowing Jigan he would be doing his Geomancer crazy even if no one noticed. He just gets a kick out of it. And Fain always seemed like a subtle attention whore, he likes the conflict and drama swirling around him. Or how his followers can see his emotions, very much a want for attention. It's not a negative thing, just a character thing.
