I have yet to go on one of those aetherhunts because I have no idea what I'm doing, but I do it the civilized way. Killing hoards of aslaran, krokani, gorgog, oozes, and of course telling guards how great they are.

Siphoning at least is fairly easy. With absolutely no aliases or triggers and never having gone aetherhunting before, I was able to siphon well enough that Felicia was complimented on her performance.

I imagine manning a turret isn't too much different in terms of difficulty. Piloting and killing Slivvens, though, is probably a bit more challenging.

Actually she got an untrapped error on hitting demigod, so it didn't take her to the havens, so she lost it immediately after. This was when losing demigod brought you to Titan +0%, too. Estarra took pity due to the untrapped error being the cause of the death, and gave most of it back, as I heard the story.

I'll be honest. I was planning to get 99.99% and kill a Lady for Demigoddess and then poof as soon as I killed it. Though that would've been mean.

I think you would have been forgiven if it was for getting demigoddess instead of all the time, rather than in addition to all the time.
