(Is it okay that I helped, Iasmos?)

You may have ensured Zarquan some business, not deprived him of it. If I couldn't figure this out or find some free assistance, I was just going to roll an Aetolian alt. Free, efficient ZMUD systems and breezy combat (and not Imperian) for the same price. smile.gif

You should demand a cut, Ried. chin.gif

Not-so needless to say, thank you.

My apologies?

The error message told you the filenames, but the files were in the Treant directory (as that's where you extracted the files), and I figured that part would be obvious. The error message also gave the path in which MUSHclient was looking for the files, so actually it was giving you both halves of the problem in the single message.

I'm a highly technical person, so I do tend to assume a certain level of basic computer knowledge when helping others figure out things like this. When these assumptions prove to be bad, I still have a difficult time explaining things in terms that can be easily understood, I guess.

Okay, I managed to fix my Waterwalk defense not showing up under Cosmic (which was due to naming differences) but the Highmagic defenses still aren't gagged and replaced. Is Highmagic supposed to be installed the same way Guildskills are? Because if so, it won't install when I do TCONFIG SKILLS. Bug? Mishap? Some step in the setup I've missed?
Unknown2009-05-04 10:57:02
It's a bug, and I just fixed it. smile.gif
Kiradawea2009-05-04 15:32:45
Ah great thanks. I was wracking my brain to try and figure out what I did wrong.
Kiradawea2009-05-05 18:45:38
Okay, is there something I have(n't) done? Treant doesn't seem to be recognizing poisons. I've been hit with Asthma, Slickness and Sunallergy, and it won't trigger on the application line, or in Sunallergy's case, on the "going into temporary remission" line. Bug, mistake on my part or "feature" to be added later?

I'd have to see the context. If you went hunting and didn't have a trigger setup for that particular attack to enable the poison triggers, you'll see this "problem" occur. Otherwise, Treant detects poisons just fine (in regular combat).
Kiradawea2009-05-06 09:00:33
Ah yeah, that's the problem. That's good. Now I feel comfortable testing the system in a real combat environment.

Version 1.23 is now available on my web site. Check the version history for a summary of the changes. If you have purchased any add-ons that are now updated, please e-mail me to request the new revisions.

Also, I am now making my debating script available for purchase! See the web site for details.

I hope to release my beast tracking script soon. Just have a few more triggers to add for various abilities (as I train my beast to do things and test them out). smile.gif
Unknown2009-05-07 16:11:54
If anyone has downloaded the 1.23 archive before the time of this post (and you're having trouble with the Kata skill import), please download it again. I forgot to put the new file into my source control, so it got left out of the release.

Seems like there's a bit of a bug with pipe lighting in that the system waits for arm balance (probably regular balance and eq as well) to light pipes while you can do so off balance, check the log:

I didn't know you could light pipes without arm balance until now. biggrin.gif

I planned to redo the balance checks for a few things, anyway, so I'll just add this to the list of changes. Thanks.

Similar thing has happened in the past. It doesn't seem to be recognizing pinleg, nor writhing out of it, nor the 'pierced leg' affliction that comes after writhing. I had to diagnose for the system to catch it. Is there a way to fix this?
Unknown2009-05-10 00:07:13
I didn't know about the pierced leg thing. (Isn't a pinned leg bad enough? Ow!)

I can't reproduce the not writhing thing, so something else must have happened in your case that isn't shown here.

Ave!

I recently got Mush 4.37 and Treant, followed the instructions on Larkin's site and installed it. It doesn't seem to be sipping though. How do I set the sip levels, or am I missing something?

P.S. I'm also new to MUSH, how do I set the colours for various messages lines? I really only need a different colour for eq/bal recovery.

Thanks

Have you typed "AUTO SIPPING ON"?

You need MUSHClient 4.40 not 4.37.

Link: http://www.gammon.com.au/files/mushclient/mushclient440.exe

Read the help files that come with the system to set all these things, they're all documented
Unknown2009-05-14 11:02:29
All of the basics that you need to get Treant installed and configured are documented, anyway. Not every little thing is documented, as I sell support contracts to people who are interested in learning more or doing more with the system.
