I can't imagine I'm the only person with Healing who uses Treant, just wondering is there an add-on that would use the Healing skill to maximise curing efficiency?
Kante2010-02-07 17:21:26
Recently, I've been having trouble with Treant crashing on me when I die. It's normally when I'm facing the Glom demi and ascendent squad.

All I see is it trying to spam lighting the pipes, and then MUSHclient freezes up. I would provide a log, but I can't, as MUSH quits functioning altogether and I have to close the program through Task Manager.

There's not, although a recent version let you start using succor.

Ah yes, the pipes thing. The auto pipes has some issues I've noticed. For example, NEVER let your pipes go out when you're aeoned or in choke. Your Mush will crash. Horribly.

Addendum: Don't let them go out when you're dead either.

I know not everyone uses artifact pipes, but I've revamped the pipe maintenance code a couple of times now. If something is still wrong, you guys will have to give me very specific and very useful inputs (via e-mail, preferably with debug logs). Sorry.

Version 1.33 is officially available now. Check the version history for details!

Update while logged in. More excitement.

I did that actually. Was neat watching my entire screen reorient itself.

Umm, Treant seems to cure on using diagnose but not on using succor. Bug?

TCONFIG DIAGNOSE SUCCOR

Had done that, still wasn't curing.
Unknown2010-02-10 14:05:41
Log, please?
Unknown2010-02-10 16:10:52
Ah, it just works off SUCCOR ME and not SUCCOR like I was using. Nevermind me!

EDIT: By the way, if I pay the credits for support how hard would it be to modify system to actually use the Healing skill to cure? Like all the extras Treant gives, don't like only using 3 Healing skills. sad.gif
Unknown2010-02-10 16:21:10
I didn't realize just SUCCOR worked, so it's coded for SUCCOR ME. It's just the information I got from the person who asked for the feature.

I may consider adding in a Healing option as a form of add-on, if you can provide me with all the details (messages, mechanics, commands). It doesn't seem like a small task, so I make no guarantees on it.

Well...technically simple, logically painful. Treant doesn't reliably handle Healing cures (but I bet Iasmos would do that if I bothered to log them instead of MacGyvering together my own support for it), but deciding when to use those extremely expensive and potentially dangerous cures was non-trivial, so I gave up on it.

I recoded Treant on one character to use the healing skillset. It was not easy because a lot of things needed to change in a few files. It was a lot harder before the change to see what you used to cure with went through though, especially for failsafes. Basically though you need a copy of Treant that is coded especially for the healing skillset, which would mean Iasmos has to update two copies of Treant.

Hello guys..this is my first post in the forum ^^ it seems that many problems about the installation have already been solved, and the creator of the system is already tired of answering them so..could anyone tell me what am I doing wrong here?

Run-time error
World: Treant
Immediate execution
:1: attempt to index global 'treant' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
:1: in main chunk

please? Feel free to throw me tomatoes or any rotten vegetable if my problem is too stupid, thanks in advance

EDIT: I just proved that I am pretty much a moron, I skipped the last step before loading everything! Thanks anyway!

I actually have selfishness now, but when I use selfishness, Treant seems to treat it as an affliction and uses generosity - even if I have auto-selfishness enabled:
CODE
» Auto selfishness ENABLED
selfishness
You rub your hands together greedily.

How do I fix this? sad.gif
