Well, you could always put up the "download by request only" thing so you only give it to people you want to give it to, but that only increases the pestering, doesn't it?

Hey, the page is down, but i still managed to get a copy of treant. Could someone post up the instructions for set up?
Unknown2010-11-13 03:11:51
The page should be up. If it's not working for you, maybe something else is amiss?

I know Treant is unsupported, and I'm shooting in the dark butttttttt
I noticed a problem with sap curing in the attached file. While I haven't tested it extensively, it really does look like it's there. I can try to get a better log later. Ignore everything I "say" by the way . I was in a hungry-sleepy-tired-grumpy mood.
Now for my questions:
has anyone had similar problems? Do they go past sap and into other things like slickness as well? Also, is there anyone who HAS fixed this in their copy and willing to share it?
I've collected all the Harmonics lines thanks to the help of the wonderful Kiradawea and Prav. Thanks guys, you're awesome!
I have hit a bit of a snag in how I deal with curing Sapphire and Onyx. It's pretty bad and I'm unsure of how to deal with the situation.
With Onyx, I just make Treant diagnose since I honestly have no clue what a better way to deal with it is. Thing is, it ticks so often, it keeps you off EQ way too much to be useful in a fight.
For sapphire, they're all mental afflictions so I make you focus mind. Probably a really bad thing to do, but it's the only thing I can think of.
I know I'm probably not very likely to get a response to anything I just said above, but it was worth the try!

Honestly, this isn't a bad solution. Since rubies are going to tick with timewarp, as well as echoes and oracle hitting with it, as well... it's very unlikely that you will "waste" a focus balance by sending focus mind. You can pretty much count on something being cured by it.

You do not need to focus mind on every Researcher afflictor you see. Focusing too much can cause you to wear down your willpower.
There should be a list on the forums of the afflictions given by each afflictor. Just so you know, Onyx hits every 10 seconds and Sapphire hits every 7.
The list of afflictions Onyx is able to choose from is very short, with two you can immediately tell what you have. The other three have secondary messages and are not that lethal. Sapphire has a list of mental afflictions with a few that can mess up your healing, but those few you can easily force a secondary message on without wasting a cure resource. Make sure you have good Hypochondria detection, and that you pick up that you have the Amplified Fear affliction asap so you do not find yourself swimming in phobias.

It's widely known that the sap/aeon/choke curing in Treant is awful. I recoded it a few times, and it just never really got off the ground.

I don't know, but it looks like a bug unique to sap. It fired once, then didn't again. Also, when I cleaned it, the system still thought I was in sap.
Faymar2010-11-19 08:24:43
I wonder what happens when you get hit with an aeon/sap/choke illusion.
Rivius2010-11-22 06:52:36
Alright. I got what I hope to be a better log. I'm going to rummage through the code, however I get confused easily with this walnut-sized brain of mine, so I'll just post it here. Maybe someone can see what's going wrong and we can try to fix it .
EDIT: Managed to get some help, and it all seems to be working fine now.

I know I know I'm not supposed to ask questions here, but!
Awhile ago, Iasmos took pity on me and gave me a version of treant to use since I lost mine and I had pretty much useless credit-bought plugins, and now that I actually have my computer working on windows again after an epic crash, I can't get the influencer to work!
If I put in..say empower, I'll get this
And if I try to open the code up to see if it got broke somewhere, I get this
I haven't messed with it and..I don't really know why it won't work.

I can't help you there, Pectus.
Another shot in the dark, but the site is down and I was wondering if anyone had instructions on how to install it.
