Monks (all monk guilds) need to be nerfed in terms that, they should ONLY be able to use one modifier per attack. I've let Revan unleash his full potential on me and I've got to say, seeing monks dish out 5-10+ afflictions per round is pretty ridiculous, given that monks are also whorish when it comes to regen stacking. Please nerf ALL monk guilds, please let attacks give 1 affliction her hit, and if they want to tack on more modifiers to their attacks they should spend power for it (About 2 power for each extra mod.)

It's very easy to solve, any one strike can only give one affliction, just like warriors.

Although I do agree with what is mostly being said here. There is a HUGE difference between what afflictions and the amount of afflictions the Ninjakari can give in one round and what say Shofangi or the Nekotai can do. There is no way in hell I can give 6-10 afflictions in one go.

The envoys were given a special report a week ago to deal with the momentum system and any imbalances between the classes, so please talk to your envoys with concerns!

Envoys should not be the only reason stuff gets fixed. The admin should to take it into their own hands sometimes to fix problems. Batbane is STILL not fixed, it's still possible, after many months, that you can batbane a target and instakill them without them regaining from earache to eat earwort. The admin have still done nothing despite knowing this problem. Monks are now a problem, and they need to be fixed.

Unfortunately "one affliction per strike", while it might seem like a good idea (although it leaves us unable to kill compared to warriors since we don't have head instas or nut high damage output) affects some monk classes more than others. I don't actually use a tonne of mod affs. Worse, it neglects a bunch of things like the emofist poison mods and shoflai, which aren't afflictions (and should not be reworked as afflictions for obvious reasons). A better idea would probably be to flatten out ka costs, then up the ka costs of things like ninjakari mods, buck and a couple other things.
Also removing hyper/rushing and gank 2h +speed effect like we said months ago.

You seem to be totally missing the point? One affliction per strike from the staff just like warriors. Do warriors also use toxins? Yes. Did I, anywhere, say one mod? Why would this affect poison mods at all? Lowering poison resist is not an affliction, so it has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. When I hit you and you take three to four warrior afflictions PLUS a toxin, that's what I'm talking about. You still also get two hits and a kick.
Or would you like to tell me I don't know anything about monks? I could still put together a valid offense from each of the specs while only giving ONE affliction per hit from the weapon strikes themselves.

And we do when the issue and fix are clear. I have yet to see a definitive course of action in regards to monks. There's no agreement among players in this thread and I'm fairly unconvinced at this point in time.
As to why we like envoys suggesting things - though many of us in the administration have participated in player combat in the past, it's in the past and we obviously aren't pking as admins aside from the use of our overpowered zap. It's a bit more accurate and representative of issues if a diverse group of players who are attacking with and being attacked by these abilities (envoys) voice their concerns. The reason for a special report on monk issues is so it can be more wide in scope and take all things into account.

Batbane was submitted to us recently and will be dealt with shortly (most likely with the other envoy changes for November). We have other projects we are working on and things are busy for some of us, but don't worry, it's being handled soon.

Base monk speed is fine, but needs a cap so things like 1.5 second attacks don't happen.
And I think everyone has agreed that monk affliction barrages are too much.

In testing the speed wasn't 1.5s, so I'm curious to see what's causing this.
"Too much" how? Is it the stacking of regen affs or the speed at which afflictions in general are delivered? It's for questions like this that we ask for an overall monk report examining the specifics. Saying it's "too much" is not specific enough.

it's mostly people with poor reflexes. Thoros and I can withstand and cure the worst a ninjakari can offer (we have logs to prove it). The speed's probably a problem, but I haven't really seen it personally, so I can't tell yet.

It's not entirely due to poor reflexes, though that is a factor until people can learn to adjust to better handle some of these things. Thoros is actually one of the people agreeing that a fix needs to be made, so that's saying something pretty clear right there. I wonder, though, if your logs are of an actual fight or one of those "you stand there while I hit you a few times" sort of logs. Either way, I don't put too much stock in arguments based around Thoros (or someone similar) being able to tank.

Heh, I think ALL monk guilds need to be nerfed in the respect that, they should only be able to give one affliction per hit like warriors (since on the hits they can also deliver a toxin). Also, the tahtetso instakill needs to be reworked, because from the time it takes to get chestpain+prone to the next kata for the instakill, chest pain affliction can't be cured. Especially when the tahtetso puts stun mod in the chestpain/prone kata. And out of kata attacks need to be removed, PLEASE. It's stupid how Nejii just sits there and spams instant mangle on me in group fights. Very freaking retarded.
