Actually, there are theories that Neanderthals would have had children with Homo Sapiens people and we (or some of us) would be their descendants. Those are just theories, of course, but it could be possible.
EDIT: This is the thing, mortals/half-formed are not as intelligent as Divine. Our perception of Lusternian Divine is limited by their players, who are of course humans. But in the lore of the game they are far superior beings to shards.

Yes it should be. If he doesn't like it, then it's harassment at the very least. He should ask the person to stop before going through the whole lawsuit thing though. If his co-workers make fun of him for it, then it's also harassment. It's up to him how he deals with the situation. I agree people abuse the laws way too much, but it's hard being in a work situation where someone touches in a way you don't like to be touched. I've been there before.

Am I the only person who has never understood how homosexuality can be considered something 'bad' within the game? The reason people have a issue with it in RL is because of religious dogma used to create moral standards. No religion in Lusternia says that homosexuality is bad so there really does not seem to be a reason to say that your character finds something morally offensive about homosexuality. RL morals don't equal IG morals or else I think a lot of us would have a problem when we are told to kill all of Magnagora or Celest just because they follow the light or are tainted.

Obviously there's no problem with homosexuality IG. I don't think anyone's ever said there was. The whole issue was the pederasty thing, which as I said is tangential to the whole "screwing a species who's two rungs down the evolutionary ladder" detail anyway.
On the subject of Divine lovers: I would think they would only have other Divine lovers. It would be interesting if there were gay Divine Lovers (to my knowledge there is not).
