So I was away for a long time (I left when the very first monk guild was being tested with Celest) and now that I come back I see that the monk skills are pretty much implemented. I can't help but be curious, especially with my RL interests.
What are the actual differences in how the four specs work? I know they all use a different weapon, but I imagine that each spec will have it's own feel and strategy (much like Knighthood specs). Would someone care to lay out for me the practical differences in fighting style between the four?

Pretty much universal.

What about Stealth vs. Harmony?

(Stealth > Harmony) 2 . Harmony has a crapload of cool effects, but you can't use them all at once. Stealth, you can disguise yourself as someone you've killed, listen in on city/guild/house aethers, a sort of tumble that takes you out of most effects and past wall, and so on. Ask me or Revan IC, if you want to learn more.

Eh, stealth has some good defensive passives and active abilities.
Harmony is mostly passives, but you can use three at a time and it takes equi to reset them. Three mantras of a certain type can provide a third bonus effect, though for certain awesome things (wind mantra tumble) you have to use 3 wind chants which blow.
Stealth has active infiltration abilities, rushing, DMP, an extended writhe, and cloaking.

Fair enough. Stealth sounds more my style.
