I'm so pumped to see what my crow turns into. This is such a neat improvement to a skill I never really used before.

It isn't. From the BT perspective, it's a strict downgrade. It's a very minor downgrade, but you're right, the guild gained nothing. However, in the mystical world of Balance, it doesn't matter. The BT have had the best pet for the longest time, and this fixes the imbalance and gives us a new toy to play with at the same time. Not everything has to be an upgrade!

Hm? The blacktalon pet is an upgrade as far as I can see. The flight isn't very useful, sure...but the blacklung on command is...

Yeah, but they used to be able to have blacklung on a slower but relevant tick and web on another beast simultaneously.

Same speed, doesn't require bal or eq to use, could time it so it fired between demesne ticks so you didn't interfere with Murder, could use it all day long without running out of mana...
