... this game still going on??
Noola2009-01-11 08:54:26
Renthur, who have you investigated? You've said before that you've found some not scum people in your investigations, but not who. I understand the idea of protecting folks by not naming them, but surely you can say who's not scum and nothing else and it shouldn't be too harmful? That way, we can further narrow down who might be scum?
Kiradawea2009-01-11 12:51:48
Okay. Let me think some more...
Here is the list of people I am very sure are not scum.
5) Kiradawea- Corpse investigator.
7) Serella- Attempted to be killed by Ryan.
15) Reiha- Town.
17) Renthur- Investigator powers.
18) Furien- Jack.
20) Thiden- Dr Tenenbaum.
That leaves
6) Morhgor- Claims to have been kidnapped.
10) Casilu- Telekinetic.
11) Doman- Blocked? Serella after Ryan attempted to kill her, but only succeeded in paralysing her.
14) Diamondais- Claims to have been kidnapped.
16) Noola- Not Ryan (Furien investigation).
As potential scum members.
So... Morhgor claims to have been chased away by an insect swarm. That doesn't help his cause at all, in fact he has done a poor job defending himself.
Casilu. She hasn't done much to help the group in general. The biggest thing she has done was breaking Doman's jaw early on.
Doman. Blocked Serella after Ryan attempted to kill her. Claims to not have been aware of that fact. Even if that is true, such behaviour hasn't exactly been helpful. It's also clear that his role-blocking hasn't helped much, as the splicers were all ship-wreck survivors.
Dia. Was thrown into a pipe. Likely a Little Sister, which is a pro-town role.
Noola. Not much information, but she has been active at least in trying to weed out scum.
So, in the order from least to most suspicious (in my opinion).
Diamondais.
Noola.
Casilu.
Doman.
Morhgor.

Piffle, your totally a spilicer searching corpses. ...that -is- a joke, for the people who didn't catch it.
And you've hurt my feelings for accusing me to be scum. And I was attacked by wasps, and there is a plasimid that uses them, so I don't see how that's weak self defence. I also made a claim, so... there's nothing more I can do.
Besides every (or almost every) town lynch has killed one of us (a townie), so there must be someone working around to pull the strings, eh?
Kiradawea2009-01-11 14:18:05
I know there's a plasmid that uses them, but hey, no townies died tonight and you were chased away. Hence it doesn't help you. The weak defense comes from the passiveness when the focus was shifted towards you.
And yeah, we have been lynching mostly townies, but consider this.
Krackenor was lynched for inactivity.
Rika was lynched because we suspected her of getting Saran killed.
Myrkr was killed because she deliberately drew suspicion to herself while being a townie.
Shaddus managed to delete his role and not inform us about his revitalization syringe.
So yeah, someone may be "pulling the strings", but to be honest, to me it seems that most townies are bumbling around and doing more to hurt the town than help it.

The people who weren't scum were Kiradawea and Shiri, though Shiri ended up turned into a splicer. As for the wasps, that might have been Casilu, she DID get another syringe recently and that may have been it since as far as we're aware it wasn't used before that.
Serella2009-01-11 14:22:01
Yeah, I'd have to agree that Morhgor's defense against lynching him isn't very strong.
Kiradawea2009-01-11 14:25:15
Casilu got her latest syringe AFTER Morhgor vanished.
Kiradawea2009-01-11 14:27:05
Why do I EMPHASISE by typing letters in uppercase?
Unknown2009-01-11 14:28:39
Oh right, this has gone on so long everything seems to meld together into a blur. Sorry.
Serella2009-01-11 14:31:42
Okay. I really don't want to lynch a townie again, but Morhgor has attempted to defend himself and I don't find it believable.
Vote: Morhgor

I think I'll vote too. Vote: Morhgor
The rest of you though, be careful with voting. We don't want this day to end too quickly. We need more information, so anyone willing to give us something to go with would be much appreciated.

We know for sure that Andrew was able to convert people into Splicers.
On the day beforehand, remember that I zapped him but did not kill him. He couldn't convert a splicer that night- Serella is likely not a splicer. We can't discount this possibility.
Renthur's investigations have been largely pro-town and so have Kiradawea's. Us four are the easily confirmed ones. Doman , Dia, Noola and Morghor may have been converted into a splicer at any point. There were three nights- so that means three splicers. Two have died. One's left. One's Steinman, the other is Fontaine.

Renthur, did you see my post? Even if you won't say who you've investigated and found to be not scum (to clear them so we can focus on others) can't you at least say, "Sorry, not gonna." or something? Ignoring isn't nice!
Anyway, both the disappearers' stories are kinda fishy, but only because they're so convenient. I haven't played the game, so, I don't know if there's really a plasmid ability that calls wasps on folks or not. I do know from the reading that the Big Daddies bang on the pipes to get the Little Sisters to come out, but I can't remember reading about them throwing anyone into them. Now, I haven't read every page of the Wiki, so I might've missed it.
I'm gonna hold off voting till Renthur answers my question (hopefully! ) but when I do, I'll prolly join the Morghor train.

Can't edit so, I'm double posting.
Add to that last sentence: Assuming that Renthur's investigation doesn't clear Morghor, of course.

I did answer, the only ones I've managed to investigate were Kiradawea, Shiri, and Furien, Furien was Jack, Kiradawea and Shiri were town.
Kiradawea2009-01-11 16:14:55
He already did. Me and Shiri were good guys according to him. This night, I confirmed Reiha as a Townie, because I am told the names of the dead splicers I investigate.
Anyway, I'm sticking to my old list for the time being.

Oh! Ok, well, I'm retarded. I blame the fact that I just woke up.
In that case, I'm gonna Vote Morghor. Wasps seems a bit too convenient and fishy.
Diamondais2009-01-11 16:42:23
Before I add my vote anywhere, how many are needed to lynch again?
Noola2009-01-11 16:47:28
Um, 7, I think.
