The game publishers don't make up the badges, they have to implement a stat-reporting API that the makers of Kongregate then use to make badges. There was a discussion going on in the flash client game chat the other day about possible badges though... reach lvl 100, finish the novvie quests... *shrug*

I can't seem to get the gemcraft badge :/ Level 82 wizard, all of the other stages were a breeze...Up to the epic boss in the last stage, it's easy but I can't kill that darn last boss (best damage I did was ~100k).

Move on to later stages and come back later when you start out with level 5 and 6 gems. Remember that you get more points for killing them near the spawnpoints. In my opinion, the best talent is the ones that makes towers and especially trenches cheaper, along with more mana per second/per kill.

Yeah, once you hit level 40, you can get glowing stages pretty much the first time you do the stage. Cheaper buildings are good help too. I know it may sound crazy, but instead of building and getting crystals, max out your mana pool a few times. You get more MP from the monsters, and it pays off in the long run.

The Mana Pool spell not only increases mana, but the points you get from enemies as well. In addition, you can earn medals for bonus points by building lots of towers, making lots of gems, combining lots of gems and throwing lots of gems.

Easiest way to gain points is to send waves early. You don't have to be high level for the first few stages. I've done 6 stages and 3 of them are glowing frame already.
