I was bored again, and so a shofangi was born...

Crunch thing: if it's a system bug there's not a lot I can say. If someone's applying properly - much less if they actually fight back - you shouldn't be able to crunch them in any sane (read: less than 90 minutes) amount of time. Ceren came up with some idea for it to do with fracturedskull and scrambledbrains that I forget but whatever.

Envoy thing: Oh, I didn't realise you went Ur'guard...I wasn't in-game when I posted all that, heh.

Slitlock: I think the reason slitthroat ka is so low is that it was changed from butojo, which is the almost-but-not-quite worthless slittongue. I forget why we did it like that but it was probably a suboptimal design choice (I should have taken better notes). And even less people use butojo (the cuttongue bit) now than they did before. Ahaha. On the other hand, even though it's a low ka you still can't do it at lower momentums, unlike ninja form 1 pipelock and similar, so I guess we didn't totally fail there.

The ka thing: hmm, I suppose so. Well, the first bit of the momentum report has already been submitted so it's a bit late for that. The way it looks to me, monks will take a bunch of huge nerfs with this, and then we'll bring up to scratch the worse moves afterwards. Hard to say though.

Speed thing: it isn't necessary and we're all mystified as to why they chose to keep that after saying they wouldn't. Nonetheless, it still seems that ceteris paribus, a max speed monk weapon goes a lot slower than a max speed warrior weapon. As you are probably aware Narsrim managed to stack some immense bull:censor: speed with everything we can think of, but that was cut down to around the speed of fast warrior hammers. So I don't think it's a good idea to complain about that along with everything else since warrior speed can be that fast.

If you have a shofangi alt, and you have suggestions for the monk report based around shofangi fighting... why would you go to a ur'Guard envoy? It seems to me.. you would go to your Shofangi envoy... Just sayin'

Forum post so everybody can see it seems to work fine to me.
I even got to sort of discuss it with Nejii, while unable to log into lusternia at school so... win?

Wrongo. Thoros's system prioritized head applications (I know cause I use it), and Asmodea killed Thoros with crunch whoring in far less than 90 minutes. It's an "eventually I win" skill.

I had like negligable wounds when asmodea crunched me.

So just whoring it will get you a win. After a long time. Which isn't hard with harmony wind whoring.

So what exactly is it, just a chance to instakill that rises each time you use it?

Yep

And yet, the Ninjakari are SO OP, they have an instakill stopped by what? Applying regen to gut?

Know what I want? An instakill like the Tahtetso.

Have these afflictions on person - kills them. For instance, prone/chest with critical wounds/more than 4 afflictions/ninshi chest.

Shaddus wraps his jakari around the chest of @target, and planting a foot in @target's gut, pulls his chain through, cutting @target in half.

@target has been ripped in twain by the awesome power of Shaddus.
You see this happen at the Aetherplex.

Every time you use it and the amount of wounds on head. I'll likely get a damage kill before I get a crunch kill.
Shiri2009-02-18 01:22:53
It has a minimum wound req. With low wounds, you just don't die. Since it takes a grapple you have more than enough time to apply.

It doesn't mention that in the AB, it just mentions odds increase with each crunch and with wounds.

Well, then it's understandable that it would confuse people, but that's still how it works, we can test it in arena if you want.
