So I long in to find the event ended rather abruptly in an unexpected way and that now we need to Ascend someone.
And apparently Lisaera has one of the first Godrealms and people are happily farming it- I see absolutely no NPCs in here.
I read the Order news and find out that Mag has, already, been farming this crap and that if we don't protect them Lisaera will get...cramps, essentially. To make it better, they can walk straight through the Temple on Prime to reach this place. And these NPCs don't cry out on OT (yet, they're probably fixing that). Plus, I'm going to have to walk over every 15 minutes and empower every sylph in the place if I want to make sure they're safe.
This is already feeling like a really tedious way to 'mechanically' 'hurt' a Divine. :/
The '1v1' idea, honestly, makes me lol. I can really see it now. Lisaera vs. Fain. The Demigods of Mag versus...Iola, Laysus and Galaphyrae? Hahahahahaha. You might have all the army you need, but hardly any other Order is in fighting condition.

Hi nub. HELP GODREALM and HELP ORDERWAR. Two orders can't go to war unless they both consent. Less waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah and more reading plz.

We were aiming for a simple system with potential for off-plane conflict among orders. To address some comments/questions.
-Temples are NOT to meant to be safe areas for players, so we are not going to close access to temples just to order members.
-At this time, I don't see the need to boot out or close off realms to two orders in war. We'll see how it goes.
-You can go to realms and kill the denizens there and mildly harm the gods. You can also go to the realm and protect the denizens by influencing them. Note, however, that the mobs are on a long reset task so it is very unlikely anyone will feel 'griefed' (unless you have very thin skin). The big essence losses (or wins) only really occurs during an actual god war.
-You can travel to god realms in aetherspace. We may in the (far?) future expand god wars to include more aetherspace interaction.
-If a god does not have a temple, they do not have a god realm. The larger the temple grows, the larger the god realm grows.

Surely that means the god's consent, right? I guess we'll see, but I'm not convinced Fain and Lisaera aren't going to put their feud into action just because Fain would walk over every single other order (particularly because it's the only active one in Magnagora.)
EDIT: Although I guess Lisaera could just lose the first one, then refuse to do any more while "gathering strength" until it's more even (i.e never)

Lol? I can advise Lisaera against it all I want, but if she goes to war she goes to war. End of story. Troll less.
Estarra2009-01-12 04:11:20
God wars have to be my mutual consent of the gods.
Unknown2009-01-12 04:15:35
Even then, this isn't as mandatory as nexus worlds or domoths, if you lose the war, all it does is take essence and give the other guys TF's, nothing as huge as power or constructs.
Estarra2009-01-12 04:19:47
I should point out if a god REALLY trusts an order member, they can imbue them with the power to declare war.
Rika2009-01-12 04:20:01
Furien's point is that unless the god themselves considers the fact that their order is going to get absolutely owned, the players will get absolutely owned. And if they all consider that? Then this will never get used. Quite simple.
Shiri2009-01-12 04:21:07
well, in theory there are some orders that could have even fights.
Tervic2009-01-12 04:21:50
But it's completely closed off to people in orders
a.) without a temple
b.) with a pacifist god
c.) with an inactive god

You just glom onto other people's order fights, I guess. You won't get the TFs, but eh.

I would hope that she wouldn't put us in a position where we'd essentially get griefed out of the game As you said, we'd have a rousing army of about - well, seven on a good day, of which two are likely to be combatants.

There aren't pacifist Gods in Lusternia. There were, but they all got killed.

Someday I shall get the power to use order privs, and I shall declare war!

You can actually get to Shikari's temple by aetherspace. (The prime entrance is lagging behind.)

What happens with our forge, now that it's no longer a protected place for people to craft? Kind of pointless (though I guess the Order doesn't have any smiths, so it doesn't matter much )

I'm sure you can still get into Maylea's temple.

The Serens were guarding it pretty extensively.
They don't believe me!
Shiri2009-01-12 04:52:59
I tried telling them, but they wouldn't listen. Sorry man.
