Gaudiguch and Ackleberry

Back to Common Grounds.

I don't get why so many wants these two places to come so badly? Are lusternia players that party-starverd that they need a conspiracy lead party city?
Reiha2008-12-28 16:25:34
Because it's really boring with 4 orgs after a while.
Shiri2008-12-28 16:27:44
1. New stuff! Cool.
2. They like the themes of these orgs as much as the existing ones. Which is fair enough.
3. They think they'll be in charge of the new orgs and somehow make it better (or just the first part.)
4. Breaks up the inflexible bilateral N/S Basin symmetry, allows political (or just as likely, admin) intervention to change the basin's standing.

lrn2type

I was under the impression that everyone wanted Gaudiguch and Hallifax because fire and air >>>> water and earth anytime. And Ackleberry because it's just so gosh darn cute.
Shaddus2008-12-28 16:31:26
If memory serves, someone owes Someone else credits in a bet if Gaudiguch comes out before August, or some such thing.
Shiri2008-12-28 16:32:15
That would be Aiakon and Aesyra and I think that bet already expired. Aiakon's not playing anymore though. Pfft.

And this.

Because four orgs divided blatantly along taint/wyrd vs. other results in a perpetual Groundhog's Day scenario.

Who would be crazy enough to make a bet that it even comes out in 2009?

But I think Ackleberry would be great for the influx of l33t speaking novices, though.

Just so people know, if Ackleberry comes out, I'm going to reincarnate into a furrikin, and be a stealth commune badass.

Srsly.

I want one of those to come out because the histories do not say what happened to them, which hopefully means they can be used for creating more grey areas then there are right now.

I know they attempted to grey up glomdoring with wyrd but it failed horribly. With the other 3 we can have a clean slate without historical distaste for taint, or having been tainted or the likes.

Also furry cyber.

I would be interested in seeing one of them out just for an option, if ackleberry comes out you may have an option for a forest that isn't tainted or pure. Maybe they are a harsher place then serenwilde or perhaps more snuggle and reclusive, could even have some enmity with serenwilde and still hating the wyrd.

Though these things are hard to arrange because you would have the flood of existing characters and simple resistance to the idea. (of course, if you kidnap willing participants and let them work on it before bringing them back changed by the experience you could have some control)

I'd only want them out because then it gives you more options, it might be interesting to leave serenwilde and live in Ackleberry.

^^^^^
Above post says it all. Glomdoring failed to become grey because people just refused to acknowledge the change it had.

Personally, want more cities to break up the 2v2.

Ackle/Jojobo!

I'd have a harder time seeing Ackle as harsher than Serenwilde. I mean, Seren is supposed to be pretty harsh in its own way. I've always imagined Ackle would be much the same as it was when it removed itself from time, but probably very mistrustring of both other Communes due to what happened to it.

Jojobo would just be neat in terms of grey area. They'd presumably have "tainted" (or exilered) Sun, and Lion, so they'd have a source of conflict with Seren on the crazy-tainted awakened spirit thing, and a conflict with Glom on the "our awakened spirit wants to Nom your awakened spirit" thing.
Astraea2008-12-28 18:00:47
Ackleberry is the only place that could even come close to making Astraea quit Glomdoring. Which I mean, she won't ever, I mean hello, Nightshade, but still!

And Gaudiguch just is plain cool, I mean come on. I would really like to see one new organization come out. I really honestly would. I desire it despite all population woes. Like, I would REALLY want Jojobo, so bad, I would, because then that would give Glom an enemy to focus on that would be able to be hated completely. For instance, people hate Seren, in Glom, but they also like Seren. People hate Mag, but they like Mag. People hate Celest, but they like Celest. This leads to a lot of conflicting interests, inter and intra-org hate, and me (And no doubt a lot of other Gloms) being frustrated because of the limbo it creates. Thus, I think Jojobo would be awesome.

Ackleberry, I think, would be uber-Seren friendly. I mean, you can see the admin trying to give Ackleberry a more neutral stance even now (Anti-Moon prophecy in the Tolborolla quest) but I think all that neutrality will just go out the door when/if Ackleberry comes out.

Honestly, if people want to disrupt the balance of what is currently set in stone, then Hallifax and Gaudiguch are the two that should come out. I think those two have the potential to change the entire landscape of Lusternia. As a Glom, I would personally be pushing for hatred towards Hallifax.

How dare you blow taintcloud at us, Hallifax!
Xenthos2008-12-28 18:05:06
As a Glom you should be pushing for hatred of both.

Die, city-scum! eyepoke.gif
Astraea2008-12-28 18:09:25
I would of course, hate both, but my sneakiness learned from Mother Night would make me pretend not to hate Gaudiguch, and I would be forced (much to my dismay) to try to cultivate a good relationship with them, and much happiness and prosperity with them, and maybe even Glomdiguch or Gaudiring. Yes. Yes, indeed.

What enchanting?

(Cubes last a long, long time, and it's possible to get one filled even if you are anti-city! And who needs sigils, anyways...)

True, and you never know. maybe ackleberry and jojobo teach conjuring.
