@Romero: Elfen don't need drawbacks, nor do Master Viscanti and Brood Viscanti need buffs. They're fine. Irontongue Viscanti, maybe could use a buff in some regard. However, your implication of, 'Oh. Well. Their spec race is better than mine, so clearly it needs nerf', has been noted and disregarded. By the by, Malicia wasn't implying that they receive all the buffs that she listed, she was merely stating them for reference on possible ones. Read thoroughly next time, please.

Tael your version of trying to strike me down on the forums wherever you may is noted as well. Quit with the forum RP. You won't duel me on the game, so quit trying to duel me here. We all know you are waiting for Thoros's system (which I am helping build so you won't win cause I know it back and forward) so quit with the whining lol. And lets not call weapons, I offered to rent you some artifact runed ones just so you would get off your ass and do something, but you turned that down too.
As for saying that Master Viscanti need a buff or not, we can simply take a look at how a spec'd human builds up on a mage/guardian build versus a Viscanti. Its simply not possible to build up the stats or the resistance (even with the current standing) that a human or elfen can ((22 int or cha? really?). Notice the trend right now, Desitrus went human, Ceren went human, Celina went human, big fighters just see it for what it is, a huge statpack with no drawbacks. Now I personally believe the main races Viscanti, Elfen, Merian, (whatever glom is normally) should be the predominant races with strong (but different bonuses) and should populate most of the basin (since its canon that they should be the most populous in their cities) therefore those races should be the most viable and I don't think merian, high elfen, master viscanti, or irontongue viscanti live up to the power of the other elfen/human/(in some cases faeling) breeds.

Anyone else find that random?
And read again, btw: Malicia's buffs were all suggestions.

I pointed it out in the response to you! *prod*
But I'm really not against buffing all spec races to be as good for their classes as Elfen Lords are!

I saw you point it out... but is faeling really the predominant race. If so, eww and wtf. lol. But yeah, in some cases Faeling. Celina as a faeling mage had some ridiculous burnout ego. But gloms can't do that so whatever it is you guys do.
As for the 'random', nah Tael has been sniping at me for ages. I finally gave him the attention he craves. Can't wait for him to kill me in our text spar so he can feel good about his e-life.

To be fair, that's been like 75% of Malicia's argument.
Merian stats aren't bad. I lol when people try to say they are. It's just the weakness that is crippling.
Aison2009-01-06 02:08:49
Uhm, no, everyone pretty much agrees that Merian is the suckiest spec race and a few buffs wouldn't hurt. You even said so yourself in the glamours thread.
edit: unfortunately, with merian changes, a few other ra... you know what, just read the entire thread, you'll get it. Most notably, Nydekion, Desitrus, and Xenthos's posts (I think Xenthos's posts anyway. some glom.)

Suckiest spec race because of the weaknesses. Hooked on Phonics. Mage/bard con could use a +1, but beyond that, stats are good to go.
Aison2009-01-06 02:22:37
OK, if you nerf merian's weaknesses, you'd have to nerf mugwumps/other races who took a punch when all those weird changes came in from the race nerf too. did you not read this thread at all? Do I have to S-P-E-L-L it out 4 U?

LEARN 15 READING FROM KINDERGARTEN.
Seriously, homeslice, you are a piece of work. This post doesn't tie in with your previous post at all, nor have I said anything mugwumps. If you are having issues following, read the title of the thread (MERIAN), then read my post (about nerfing MERIAN weaknesses). Good? Yay! Seriously, it's like your responding to phantom arguments. So weird.
edit: For further clarification, since I think you need it, Mugwumps could use help. I just didn't bring it up because this thread is about Merians.

Learn to read. My focus has been entirely on merian penalties. The con suggestion would help cloth wearing merian some. The other ideas were tossed out there to offset merian penalties as they are and if added, make them more appealing than they currently are. I'd prefer it if the fire/elec negatives were removed or lessened, to state it plainly for the MFB. Wouldn't mind another resistance, also. Read the op.
Aison2009-01-06 02:37:30
Meant buff, sorry Xenthos
Celina.. seriously, stop being a bitch, you're not impressing anyone. Read the thread. If you buff merians, you gotta buff mugwumps and aslarans too to keep it even. this isn't 'wahh omg viscanti have all these buffs and are sooo tanky and merians aren't.' rant. this is a 'uh hey, you fixed one problem but created a new one, fix this so we can have some fun, please.'

The second line wasn't directed at you.
Did you really pull the MFB card on me after....agreeing with me? Impressive.

Oh, just thought you were accusing me of arguing for altering merian stats. I'm not. But since you know that, it's kewl.
