My point was supposed to be that the stats suck and will need to be altered slightly for Merian to be a viable race for more than just one guild.

I'd play a merian lord long before I'd touch a brood viscanti, or any non-viscanti bard spec. Master viscanti is my favorite caster spec, but the other two are horrible, horrible choices.

I don't think that's the point, though. All spec races should be substantially better than a level 95 human in some regard important to the archetypes in question, because the human will always be a more balanced choice. Imperial merians are squishy. Why would you play an imperial merian instead of a human if you didn't hit lots harder and benefit from the speed bonus? Why would you play a shadowcaster faeling over a human, or an irontongue viscanti, or a high elfen? Each of them do have some sort of advantage over a human, but the drawbacks in each make the popular choice overwhelmingly human once you break 80, nevermind 95. Min-maxing should have some benefit associated with it.

Reduce their weakness to electricity to lvl 2

As for saying that Master Viscanti need a buff or not, we can simply take a look at how a spec'd human builds up on a mage/guardian build versus a Viscanti. Its simply not possible to build up the stats or the resistance (even with the current standing) that a human or elfen can ((22 int or cha? really?). Notice the trend right now, Desitrus went human, Ceren went human, Celina went human, big fighters just see it for what it is, a huge statpack with no drawbacks. Now I personally believe the main races Viscanti, Elfen, Merian, (whatever glom is normally) should be the predominant races with strong (but different bonuses) and should populate most of the basin (since its canon that they should be the most populous in their cities) therefore those races should be the most viable and I don't think merian, high elfen, master viscanti, or irontongue viscanti live up to the power of the other elfen/human/(in some cases faeling) breeds.


1.) If giving him lines counts as helping him build it, than I must be a master coder too.

2.) Because duelling you without a system, regardless of what weapons I have, is clearly fair. Let's just ask the numerous non-combatant's you've attacked. Oh, right. You even attacked -Xiran-. I rest my case.
