We all know Lusternia is addicting. So, how addicted are you? How long do you spend a day playing Lusternia? The most I think was probably about 8 straight hours. What about you? You have played for a total of 211 days, 9 hours and 32 minutes. This is just on Daedalion mind you. I had plenty of alts before him and still have a couple I play when I'm bored. I've spent maybe 18 or 19 hours straight on lusternia, not even moving from my desk once.

Do you eat? Yes, I bring my food to the desk and eat while I play most of the time. Unless people make me go out somewhere.

Go to the bathroom? Luckily the bathroom is right next to the computer, I don't have to walk that far.

Answer the phone? No, I don't normally answer the phone unless it's someone I want to talk to. Most of the time I don't even bother to turn my head 2 inches to look at the caller ID. You want to talk? I'm always logged on AIM or if you're special I'll answer the phone.

Do you become some mindless zombie that you can't even be bothered to look at anything but your computer screen? Have you -ignored- your loved ones, parents, friends talking to you? Most of the time it's fairly easy to tune people out, ignore them completely and only notice what's on the screen. But if you come over to me and wave a hand in my face, I'll notice you and be slightly angry depending on who it is.

What does it take to be ripped away from the computer to go and do normal human things? Depends on who it is, how bored I am and what exactly you want me to do.

Maybe you're not that addicted? Honestly? No I'm not that addicted to lusternia, I just choose to play it because I don't want to deal with anything important.

How much money do you spend on Lusternia if you buy credits? I am proud to say that I have spent absouletly nothing on lusternia, but I give you my support in spirit! Carry on.

Another small set of questions! Do you often find yourself thinking about the silly events? Drama? Thinking about your next big play production? Anything like that at all? Sometimes, do you tell your non-playing Lusternian friends about the things you found irritating or funny, even though they won't understand at all?
Shurimaru2009-01-08 22:05:28
Always. (I'll answer all the questions when I've the time. >_>)

I won't answer the list of questions, I'm too lazy. However, I WILL say that I think about designs for artisan stuff all day at work. And alts I want to try out.

And designing stuff on alts? Or an alternate life where you make thrones at work? wacko.gif

I'm sort of like that too. I came up with that heart shield that people love/hate on a particularly slow day of work.

I don't really think about the event, mainly because I don't really know what exactly is going on.
Drama doesn't bother me, probably because none has involved my character. (Yet, that is. I'm a Glom. I realize this means there -will- be drama involving my character)
I did have a stunning realization about Lusternian combat while... incapacitated the other day. I was very amazed I had it, too.
I am constantly telling my friends about my stupid little accomplishments. They smile and nod, and turn away, embarrassed by my nerdiness.

What about you?
Probably 8-12 hours of straight play during a lazy summer or winter day (Fallout3 wins the record at about 16 hours)

Do you eat?

Yesh. I often bring Cereal with me
Go to the bathroom?
Yesh
Answer the phone?
Yes

Do you become some mindless zombie that you can't even be bothered to look at anything but your computer screen?
Um, yes. I talk to people without turning around

Have you -ignored- your loved ones, parents, friends talking to you? What does it take to be ripped away from the computer to go and do normal human things?
I used to when I started. Not anymore.

Maybe you're not that addicted?
Probably happy.gif I'm not logged in right now

Ixion2009-01-15 15:00:22
Well without revealing my total logged time which is vastly greater than anything posted so far, while considering that I have been inactive for 5 months and 6 months at a time...... yeah no thanks on that sadness.

That said, I've been in realms presently for 18 hours, 13 straight of which was doing one quest.
Iola2009-01-15 15:56:54
It depends on how ill I am and how much work I've got to do for uni. Generally the more I am either of those things the more I play. Yes, currently I'm supposed to be writing three 4k essays which means I am of course on Lusternia -all the time-. However I don't play as much as I used to. I've racked up about 60 days on Iola and just over 10 on Tacita, though when I played Achaea I believe I hit something like 180. Bearing in mind I had a 6 month or so break from Lusty, it's actually worse than it sounds.

I tend to eat at my desk because if I'm not multitasking horrendously, I get bored. I'm often playing Lusty and WoW simultaneously whilst eating and being on Skype...I'm much less chained to my computer than I used to be though. I think it comes from the realisation that I'm about to graduate and have to get a proper job, plus living with someone else who (funnily enough) demands my attention some of the time.

I have bought a few credits but I've probably not even spent more than £100.

The longest stretch, I think was a 12 hour stretch. Generally I play for 0.5-3 hours at a time though.

Do you eat?

Sure, at my desk usually. But, I do that whether I'm playing or not. My desk is in the living room, and that's where my big tv is, so I eat at my desk while just watching tv too. I don't have a dinner tray thingie to eat on the couch with.

Go to the bathroom?

Yup. Though, generally, I make sure that my character is asleep, or secreted away in my manse when I go.

Answer the phone?

Yup. Can't always comment on the quality of conversation though. laugh.gif

Do you become some mindless zombie that you can't even be bothered to look at anything but your computer screen?

Nah, I watch TV while I play a lot.

Have you -ignored- your loved ones, parents, friends talking to you?

At times.

What does it take to be ripped away from the computer to go and do normal human things?

Depends on what the 'normal human thing' is. laugh.gif

Maybe you're not that addicted?

I think I'm a functioning addict. Like the alcoholic who keeps a job, and family and perfectly normal life, but if he doesn't have a certain amount of liquor a day, he gets the shakes.

Another question: How much money do you spend on Lusternia if you buy credits?

When I buy them, I generally buy the $40, 100 credit package. And I can do that once a month, usually. Over the years, who even knows what sort of shocking sum my spendings would add up to be! laugh.gif

Not really. I don't eat much in general though, Semi-fasting really.
Go to the bathroom?
Yes. Good GOD, I'm not a monkey! I don't throw poo at the screen when I see a raid!well there was that one time, but that was years ago....
Answer the phone?
I get phonecalls? Since when? sad.gif

Well technically I have three monitors at the moment, and yes. Yes, my friends I rarely see, and I'm not that great with my family.
Maybe you're not that addicted?
I play a little over two days each week. That means I play as much as your average man works.
Another question: How much money do you spend on Lusternia if you buy credits?
70-80 dollars each month, more if it's a special occasion. At least $700 so far.

Before I was in college, I could spend four or more hours a day playing. Now, I'm around much more intermittently and I doubt I'd spend more than two hours for one session. And I don't think I want to play every day anymore. Unless something really interesting was happening. Like any interaction with Elostian. Elo is so cool (and he always jumps me when I'm busy). laugh.gif

Do you eat?

I log off to eat a full meal. AFK is bad, mmk? If I'm just munching on something I found in the fridge, then I'll probably stay.

Go to the bathroom?

Oh, hell yes.

Answer the phone?

No, because it's never for me. Unless it's one of those damned telemarketers. grrr.gif

Do you become some mindless zombie that you can't even be bothered to look at anything but your computer screen? Have you -ignored- your loved ones, parents, friends talking to you?

Yeah, I zone out pretty easily. But I usually have a good sense of time, and it's not hard to go find a nice spot to QQ and get back to doing other things. And I generally ignore my parents and friends talking to me when I'm at home. >.>

Another question: How much money do you spend on Lusternia if you buy credits?
I've only spent $10 to buy 15 credits to make Denust permanent (i.e. non Suicide-able). I don't buy credits otherwise.

I've played a total of 57 days, and I started in October of last year.

What about you?
The longest I've played straight has probably been 4 hours. non-consecutively in a single day, I've probably played 6-8 hours

Do you eat?
Yes. Usually snacks, as I go out for full meals

Go to the bathroom?
Oh yes.

Answer the phone?
Yep.

My general philosophy with Lusternia is that real life should always come first (with the exception of homework...I'm an awful procrastinator). I'll always put friends and family first

Maybe you're not that addicted?
One might not think so, to read the previous answers. It does occupy a relatively large portion of my mind, however, and I think about it quite often.

Another question: How much money do you spend on Lusternia if you buy credits?
My best guess...about $400.

To be fair, my general lack of time compared to others is mostly due to my inability to stay focused on and interested in any one thing for an extended period of time

Sixteen? Two days is 48 hours, not 16...

Just to show there are those down the other end of the scale..

How long do you spend a day playing Lusternia?
A few hours a day tops.

Do you eat?
Yes, I even cook!

Go to the bathroom?
Absolutely.

Answer the phone?
It's probably work calling, so no.

Do you become some mindless zombie that you can't even be bothered to look at anything but your computer screen? Have you -ignored- your loved ones, parents, friends talking to you? What does it take to be ripped away from the computer to go and do normal human things?
Nope, no and not that much.

Maybe you're not that addicted?
I'd say I'm not.

How much money do you spend on Lusternia if you buy credits?
Less than AUD 50.

Having full time work and kids does that. Lusty is fun to play, but its not my life.
