Getting shown a thing or two.
---
A few things I noticed:
* Doesn't look like Treant has got curing for Chuuti (harmony peace skill) in there, for some reason.
* I suck.
* MUSHClient doesn't copy colours that are added in triggers. My attacks look so bland!

So put them back in, you have copy and replace
I can't comment on anything self, I don't know monk combat. As a matter of fact, I hate monks, since the only was I know to beat them is to keep them in a perpetual state of broken arms, which is freaking impossible.
Shiri2009-01-08 11:06:10
Broken arms is a retarded way to deal with anyone.
Ilyarin2009-01-08 11:06:23
Do you know how long it would take to copy and replace that all?!

Yeah, I've added the Chuuti peace stuff for 1.13. Don't know why it wasn't in there already, since I know I had it in other systems I've done. I also realized I was missing the broken limb trigger for Raktiah'sho. These changes should improve your chances a fair amount, I hope.

I like looking at combat logs because I'm hopeless at combat. It makes me feel cool for the 10 minutes it takes to look through them.
Then I realize it isn't me, and I close my laptop and silently walk away.

It's not like I'm any good either. Good news though! NOGFX is fixing their colour problem.

What are you talking about?
@Ilyarin: I assume what Shiri is talking about is your hemi strikes. This:
You crack a platinum-etched steel tahto precisely into Yurika's right arm, causing spasms through her stiffening side.
...which is a really annoying tactic, and effective. Obnoxiously effective, because it, as you probably know, is a double pipe cure that stops parry/stance.
You died because you kept having to diag to cure pacification. You spammed a few times instead of diag or manualing it. You had her at the start, she wasn't fighting back. Then you went for the head instead of legs. You can mangle whore like nobody's business, should use it.
And this:
With a quick spin, Yurika strikes your chest with a twin dragon tahto staff.
You cough and wheeze as you are struck, the vibrations constricting your lungs.
You gasp and clutch your chest as it is struck with a crack.
You stumble as your right leg shrivels into a useless appendage.
With a quick spin, Yurika strikes your gut with a twin dragon tahto staff.
As you are stabbed in the gut, your flesh is drilled until your spine snaps.
You shrug off the effects of the poison.

You attempt the Kata form of l4:head.
Your heart is filled with divine love, violence is abhorrent to you.
You are unable to continue executing your Kata form.

You take out some salve and quickly rub it on your chest.
Your bronchial tubes open up and your asthma is cured.

Yurika twirls a twin dragon tahto staff elegantly, then drives it into your chest with all her might.
A sudden spasm of pain jolts you before all feeling fades away as your frail heart explodes inside your chest. You twitch helplessly on the
ground before falling still in the calm repose of death.
You have been slain by Yurika.
» Kills: 0 Deaths: 0 (Yurika)
You had two salve cures that were keeping you prone with chestpain (another salve cure), and you cured asthma first then diagnosed. Your system killed you.
At least, that's what I can gather from the log. I'm no expert.
That being said: Tahtetso=broken.
Casilu2009-01-08 22:22:45
Actually, I don't think it would have mattered. The chest pain and severed spine are both regen cures, he just needed to take care of one to fix the insta, so, if he applied regen to either, it most likely wouldn't have been done before she attacked again. The only way out was allheale it off.

Yeah, always forget about that. He'd probably need allheale and green to make sure he got one. Dice rolls are never your friend.

I was replying to Kialkarkea, who was talking about trying to keep monks in a "perpetual state of broken arms" and then being surprised that it wasn't working.
Hemiplegy is much better than broken arms for both BMs and Tahtetso.
Vathael2009-01-09 02:54:07
@Celina: the more important one that you didn't put in bold CHEST PAINS.

Who said I was suprised?
Brokenarms is good for interrupting Kata for me, and that's about it.

Thanks for the feedback! I realise that having to diagnose constantly was dragging my game down a lot but that has been fixed in Treant now. But please don't get me wrong, you almost seem to be implying that I might know what I was doing! I don't. That was on my second day of being involved in monk PvP so I am still all over the place! I just need to keep practicing so that I know more instinctively what does what, and what works well together.
