So yeah, I was really bored at work and wrote this little program in some down time(i.e while talking to customers).
http://www.fractured-dreams.net/AstrologyThingyMaboby.exe
This is just the initial version that I compiled last night. Given input like below:
On the stargaze tab, when you click the button it will stow the signs away then work out spheres, stelliums and constellations for you.
Instructions are fairly basic:
1) Set the sign you want in the primary sign drop-down
2) Pick the appropriate tab
3) click the button (Will be changing this so that it updates everything when you change the primary sign if I get that working tonight)
Note: You need to select a second sign on the constellation tab.
Going to add nativities later as well as automate the update between mush/zmud and the program so that when you stargaze the program can just grab the information for you and fix it's data.
Oooh maybe something that will just list each which spheres are negative or positive and work out an estimate on the cost for a full powered meteor
There's a few things, like if it gets an incorrect input it will either disable everything and you'll need to correct the stargaze text for it to work, or error will come up in all the planets and it will give you incorrect results. I also need to code around retrograde and have constellations indicate if an effect will hit or if there is just a chance. I should have that corrected tonight.
So yeah, use initial version if you like some few astrologers might find it easier.

I like it. It isn't as "pretty" as you might want, but that's a non-issue since it seems very practical and easy to use. The fact that I can use it with Nexus just makes it even better. I haven't had a chance to play around with it too much yet, but I'll try it and see how it works. Thanks.

Thanks, Saran. I finally got a chance to see to it and I like it!

I can already see a few issues that I will need to code around so if anyone can send me a line with a retrograde planet I can try to work that out.
As to prettyfication, I'll add some colour here and there

Ok, nativities and meteors have been added.
Meteors just lists all the negative spheres at the moment and the different factors in them.
Also added a little somethin' somethin' for Kiradawea.
On Constellations blue means might hit, green means will hit because of retrograde.
Spheres/Meteors.
Gold = Full Positive
Dark Green = Strong Positive
Green = Minor Positive
Light Green = Positive (I may have minor and just positive/negative the wrong way around)
Pink = Negative
Red = Minor Negative
Dark Red = Major Negative
Just download again to get the new version

This is pretty cool. Thanks a bunch for the colours. I love it.

Slight necro, sorry.
I'm looking for something like this that basically tells me what spheres are worth using at the time, and so on. Ethelon's has a bit of astro support, but it's not really documented.
Does anyone have a mush plugin that shows spheres? I'd be willing to pay a bit if required, so long as it meets my purposes.

Bumping. This plugin is usefull, but I'm looking for something internal in mush, even if it's a set of colournotes showing what spheres are good based on stargaze
Shaddus2010-03-08 04:51:04
Slight bump. For some reason, now that I'm on another different PC, this no longer works. It gives me an error when I try to run it. Any idea what I'm missing?
Saran2010-03-08 14:34:30
hrm, have you got the .net framework? And what's the error message?
Siam2010-03-08 17:40:38
I recall using this one a long time ago, Saran, but I don't recall ever thank you, so, a big THANK YOU is in order.
