Yeah, so, I'm getting back into Lusternia, and I need to know about Influencing changes, cause that's about the only thing I can do.
For example, did my eyes deceive me when I read the announcement that mobs being influenced will not move? Is it true? Please say it is, that would mean that I no longer need to redo my monk tracking system.
And how useful exactly is the influence boost from Beastmastery?
Any other influencing changes that I've not seen?
Also, I now have 300+ lessons. Should I use them to get the influence boost in Beastmastery, put them in Influencing skillset, or save up a little more for Vagabond in Dramatics?
On the unrelated note, what exactly is the carriage system that I've seen somewhere? And how exactly do Domoth blessings work? And how do I see if I've got any?
Lastly, about Glomdoring. What exactly does having the Throne of Darkness on the Night bubble do? IC, Caerulo doesn't care, he's just happy he raised it. OOCly, I'm curious.

Yes, they no longer move when you start influencing them.
The boost is mild from beastmastery
Influence skill

WHOOOOOOOOO! That is SO AWESOME!
Doman2009-01-14 06:46:27
of course, influencing guards > all right now, simply because you can just stand there and knock em down. It's so good that...everyone does it :'(
Unknown2009-01-14 06:54:33
Well, I've been doing that for experience, but for gold, I turn to the monks. Unless you're telling me that guards have gold now?
Xiel2009-01-14 07:14:15
No, they don't have gold and could only either be empowered or weakened. Any boost to your influencing is a good boost, really, so it shouldn't hurt if you chose to get a fully trained influence beast. Also, I'd personally trans Influence first if you're looking to be a major influencer before either Dramatics or Beastmastery.
Also, the carriages work by ringing the bells on the road and greeting the denizen who runs the carriage. Doing DEF shows you if you have any domoth blessings while HELP DOMOTHBLESSINGS explains what each do. Lastly, the Throne of Darkness is part of Glomdoring's Night bubble quest.

As far as I know, raising the Throne of Darkness on the Night bubble just makes a path from Ethereal Glomdoring to Night.

Ah, is there a help file for carriages? I tried help carriages, but nothing came out. If not, where are the 'stations', and where do they bring you to?
And yea, I know that the Throne of Darkness is part of the Night Bubble quest, I just completed it yesterday. I was just wondering what it actually does. So does it mean that I can teleport to night from ethereal, not some cool HUG TREE, or SAY NIGHT IS AWESOME at Master Ravenwood for a cool teleport?
And awww, doing def shows me no domoth blessings. I is sad.

You already could TELEPORT NIGHT, if you have the construct aura thingy, couldn't you?

That's what I thought so too, that's why I was asking if it changes anything.
Unknown2009-01-14 11:34:41
No, the Throne makes a thing on Ethereal/Night which you can ENTER, and be instantaneously transported to the other side. No more waiting for TELEPORT NIGHT or such.
Unknown2009-01-14 11:35:31
Ooh, sounds nifty. I'm going to see if the Throne is still up and test it.
Unknown2009-01-14 12:40:05
Trans Influence before you learn too much Dramatics or Beastmastery. The boost from CharismaticAura is better than the boost from a beast or from a performed role. Combine them all together for maximum efficiency, of course!
Unknown2009-01-14 12:46:30
Wait, CharismaticAura now does something for influencing instead of just preventing disloyalty? I must have missed it whem skimming the announce posts. What does it do now?
Unknown2009-01-14 12:48:29
It gives you a decent prestige boost, of course.
Unknown2009-01-14 13:06:00
So, it is bad for charity?
Unknown2009-01-14 13:17:05
That's a good question. No, it's good for everything. So, I guess I misspoke when I said "prestige." It gives a boost to influencing, like beasts or artifact runes.
