I do this one whenever it comes up now. Bah.

Last night I had a dream (not a scrolling text dream, a live action dream) in which a new guild was being founded, and it had an envoy who had no ideas for their envoy slot, and was willing to use it for one of my artisan ideas. I was so excited. But then she gave me a bunch of annoying quests to go through before she'd let me give her the idea. Some of them were really gross or scary. I woke up before completing them all... so still didn't get to have an envoy report work on a tradeskill, even in my dreams!

The guy that goes to colleges and shouts obscenities at students and judges them based on their lifestyles.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but a new guild is going to have lots and lots of envoy ideas.

Your main hope is to find an established guild where things are mostly okay.

These things DO go in occasionally... really rarely. Happened a bit more in the older envoy system where the ideas weren't submitted by guild but instead on other factors (and each guild could put two up at a time for consideration). Could always try to make sure that a non-combat idea (if up) made it to final consideration. Would still be nice to get one slot for "other" things, intended to be used for non-combat non-guild skills, which the envoys as a whole would put together each month.

I've tried, believe me, I've tried. I did get the palm sigil idea in that way, but never any luck on anything related to artisanry.

(In the dream, the new envoy didn't have any ideas because she didn't yet know what her skills would be. Hey, it was a dream, that was hardly the least realistic thing in it! Though even in the dream I found that surprising.)

(How did the guild exist without skills? Hmm.)

And in the old system we did get something in regarding Prized, I think. Some artisan change, at least.

You got me, it didn't come up. At one point I thought the quests she was making me do might have been helping them find out what their skills would be. (If so, judging from what those quests were, this would have been a guild that would make the Nihilists and Blacktalon seem like Rainbow Brite by comparison.)
