I really don't know, I just assumed that would be the reason begging got moved very recently, since before now an inept influencer had both debating and begging.

I'd BUG it and see what the Admin say.

You should put a limit on the length of squad names.

Or nerf demigods so they don't both have the regular advantages of levels, AND insane stat boosts, AND special skills for healing and teleporting.

Face it, the game would be more fun if people who don't have unlimited free time were able to gain demigod in less than a real year or two's worth of bashing. The admins obviously agree, because they feel fit to give XP boosts for various things.

Oh no. It's here too! If they're going to nerf them like that, I hope they do it soon so I don't end up buying tons of credits here only to regret it like I did in Achaea.

And limit formations to only your organization.

So basically you want the game to have a level that takes forever to get to, requiring dedication that most people simply don't have the time to have, that comes with overpowered bonuses that in the hands of already skilled combatants turns them into walking E-Z buttons, and makes mediocre combatants dangerous? As opposed to making it a nice RP bonus, with a variety of nice things that don't strictly impact combat, but still make it worth getting to?

I'm not a combatant. I could be, but I don't feel like putting the effort in. That said, I do know that Demigods are powerful to the point that the game is being balanced around them, which means that we may need a BIT of reconsideration as to their abilities.

I'd like something like that too. I want to see a Demigod and go "Oooh, a demigod! How cool!". Now it's "Oh, a demigod, well, looks like I don't need to do anything this time. Our 6 demis are here, I'm useless."

But hey, SQUADS!

There should be an envoy report on Demis. ninja.gif

It's not hard to get Demi now, "not having the time" isn't an excuse. With squads and if you know what you do, I am betting you could get it as fast as in two months from level 1.
If you invest one hour a day, then it's like a year. So what.

People can and have done it in 2 weeks before, but that's neither here nor there.

Wait, aren't you a Demigod Warrior that would be opposed to a switch from combat to RP? suspicious.gif
Unknown2009-02-11 22:00:40
If it -is- that hard, the payoff should make it worth it. I'm all for RP, but seriously, RP isn't enough of a reward to bash your way to demigod. Talking the admins into an extreme would do nothing but ruin an aspect of the game and frankly, bashing is a huge aspect in any ire game.

Edit to add: I agree with the thought that not having the time simply doesn't float. The same could be said for credit buyers and artefact wielders having the means to max out their characters when some others don't. You get what you put in, as with most things in life.
Noola2009-02-11 22:01:05
It's funny, but everyone says, "There should be strictly RP bonuses." But I hardly ever see suggestions for what those RP only bonuses might actually be. laugh.gif

Way to be passive aggressive, Noola.
Shiawase2009-02-11 22:10:25
I personally think it's a really good idea. The XP bonus, loot split, power-to-nexus-thing. I haven't had a chance to use it or be in a squad yet, though. Sort of reminds me of Aetolia's Web system, except, of course, this one is much better. =)

Quick edit: I noticed people complaining how this system makes it easier to get to Demigod. Surely it loses it's 'neatness' and RP, but hey, for people like me who really would like to hit Demi this is a really good thing to have.

Also, I don't see why everyone doesn't want new Demigods around or feel the need to be one anymore because it's just 'not cool'. Please, it's like nano's go out of style because everyone has one. That's ridiculous. Suddenly we can't have what everyone else is having because it's not cool anymore? :/ Does this mean when more Ascendants come around, it's not gonna be cool anymore because a bunch of other people have it too?

Was I? It was unintentional! laugh.gif

Actually, I was trying to hint that folks should include their nifty ideas with suggestions like that is all. happy.gif

But, to be on topic, I agree with Shiawase. Squads seem really cool to me.
Unknown2009-02-11 22:12:53
That's sorta passive aggressive. Also, I agree with Shiawase. I think the squads are a good idea and have some nice functionality to them. The XP concern sounds a bit overblown, but I never understand any of that Demi talk anyway.
Desitrus2009-02-11 22:12:58
I was effective pre-demigod at 82, lots of people were effective and are effective pre-demigod. You do have to work a little harder, you won't have divinefire, and you won't have the luxury of turning humans into a super race, but you can achieve proper stats/resistances with other races. All of you people crying about demigods need to actually work on fighting in a serious manner before posting garbage like EZ button. I could toss you demigod right now and you would be no more effective than you are now.

I don't fight, however. Wait, aren't you a non-demigod that will never get Demi and is therefore not opposed to a switch? tongue.gif

You passively asked a question which agressively suggested people do something different from what they are doing.
