I was a little concerned about the size too. I mean if you just start pulling in people just to fill the slots, there will be a lot of semi-interested people and it could drag on for ages.

Nah, I won't do that. I sort of promised that everyone who really wanted to play would get a shot at the game, but I'll start the game as soon as Casilu's game is over. I could even start the game now, as I prepared it for the chance that I could get a lot of interest, or almost none. I'll also be pretty strict in enforcing posting, and try to have as little down-time as possible, so as to keep the momentum.

And last but not least, I'll just have to work hard to make the game as fun as it can be.

Llandros' point is that with a game of this size, if there were people who didn't really want to play but saw that you needed more people, they wouldn't be posting as much as they should. Prodding them won't work, as they didn't really want to play in the first place. This leads to a very slow game.

Also, games started with 25 players will be a) too hard for the players to find a majority, too long and c) too slow.

Well it sounds like she is aware of those possibilities and plans to address them in the game should it become a problem.

It might be a good idea to just put a note at the top saying please don't join just to fill in the roster, it's only this big to make sure everyone who really wants to play will have a chance.

Yeah I'm aware of them, and I think I've prepared myself accordingly. We'll see.
