I'm actually curious how Fania was able to let us escape too. All I did was suggest to her that she might be able to blast us out of there. Imagine my surprise.

I have this feeling (compounded by the huge amounts of flavour text that revealed a whole bunch of things) that Kiradawea kind of wanted this to play out like a story rather than a traditional mafia game based on analysis. Since so much of the game ended up being mod-confirmed via the flavour text and NPC killing and so on, traditional scum camo techniques were completely impossible: this is generally the case with theme games like we run on these forums, actually, but this game had it much more severely than usual. Coupling that with a wildly powerful town and town-helping items just resulted in us being stomped, although it's not like we didn't screw up a couple times anyway.

P.S As good as Daganev's scum sensor was this game, the votes 3 and 4 reasoning was actually wrong; we had no intention of jumping on the bandwagon in that specific fashion, we just thought we'd rather like to get him out of the way and since normally no-one can resist mauling Daganev because of the confusing nonsense (usually) he throws out, saw a good opportunity. The vote order was coincidental.
Tekora2009-03-03 13:22:35
Daganev's scum sensor? I don't get any credit? sad.gif
Shiri2009-03-03 13:24:34
Well, no...you might, but you were aggro enough to get pressure on you, also you got kidnapped so you weren't there for a large chunk of the game. You did do a pretty good job, but Daganev mattered more in the context of the game.
Unknown2009-03-03 13:30:59
Also, now that it's over, the reason I couldn't replace Esano was because Shiri leaked role information to me. <.< Granted, I didn't tell him I was a replacement quickly enough, and Peach's death at least gave the scum a biiit more of a chance.

Was anyone an SK, or were scum the only actual town-opposition?

Also.. did the town factions not matter in the end? I kind of expected the loyalists and rebels and whatnot to have to duke it out to establish the winner.

That definitely seems to be the case. There were so many impossible-to-control factors in this game (excessively complicated roles, every player having a power role, tradeable items, items/powers with a % chance of working, random daily events, random chance on the smashball/sandbag...) that it really didn't play like a Mafia game at all. Whether it was enjoyable or not is I guess up to you, but so little of the game depended on actual post analysis that I would barely call this game Mafia.

Basically, before the kidnapping, I was playing to protect Noola. My plan was to gather as much scum attention on me as I can, then drop hints that I was Pikachu. I had planned to get myself night-killed on Night 1 or 2 to give the town more time. Yeah, as a survivor I could have sat back and done nothing, but I didn't really want to win like that. So I championed for the town. Worked out better than I had expected.

Theme of Love (mother 3)

The big four

Mario, the italian plumber and icon of gaming, played by S.A.W.

QUOTE
“Itsa-me. Mario!” The Italian plumber with a red cap. You are Mario

You're Mr Nintendo. The iconic character of a big franchise, and one of the most famous characters of all time. You're a decisive leader, and with the other three great Nintendo stars you are responsible for the Super Smash Bros tournaments. Everyone should feel safe and welcome in this tournament, so on day one, you will automatically vote No lynch. Your fame gives your decisions extra weight, and with F.L.U.D.D at your side, you're a force that can't be ignored, literally.

You win with the big four. If the other three are trophified, you win with the loyalists.

Your powers are:

Mr Nintendo: You can change your vote into a double-vote at any time. To strengthen your vote, PM me a message with “AUTHORITY”. This effect will last until the end of day.

Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device: Nothing says “sweet dreams” like a jet of pressurized water. At night, you may send me a PM with the message “FLUDD (person)” to knock him or her out cold.

Big four: You're one of the big four, and you share some powers. This means that, among other things, you have a one-shot lynch immunity.

Link, the hero in green, played by Rika

QUOTE
Wielding the Master Sword, clothed in a green tunic and carrying the Triforce of Courage. You are Link.

Hero of Time. Saviour of the Oracles. He who woke the wind-fish. He who broke the curse of twilight. Many titles that all speak of one hero. The legendary Link. You are a brave young lad, trapped in a cycle of reincarnations, and in each incarnation you end up saving the world from dangers such as Ganondorf, Koume and Kotake and Zant. Through the ages you have had many companions, such as Saria the Kokiri, Midna the true ruler of Twilight and princess Zelda, wielder of the Triforce of wisdom. And now you are here in the Super Smash Bros tournament, as one of Nintendo's big four. Which means that you are responsible for all the other fighters who are here. On day one, you will automatically vote for No Lynch. Your training as a warrior allows you to protect people at night.

You win with the big four. If the other three are trophified, you win with the loyalists.

Your powers are:

Protect: At night, you may send me a PM with the message “Protect (person)” to shield him or her from death. You may use this on yourself.

Song of time: Twice during the game, during the day, you may post on the forums, “Play Song of Time” to revive someone. This will only work if someone has been killed by a day power earlier on the same day. Special note, you can use it to bring back someone who died on night 0.

Big four: You're one of the big four, and you share some powers. This means that, among other things, you have the ability to instantly lynch someone if all members of the Big four are voting for this person.

QUOTE
Looks like you've been cursed by Ganondorf. You're now Wolf Link.

In this cursed form, you are unable to communicate with anyone, or use your old Ocariana, but this new form has some benefits.

While you still win with the loyalists, you count as a beast for their win-condition.

Your new powers are:

Protect: Even without sword in hand, you will still faithfully protect the other smashers. At night, PM me with the message “Protect (person)” to shield him or her from death. You cannot use this on yourself, but if someone tries to kill the one you protect, you'll know.

Sniff out: Once each day, you may quote a post and post beneath it, in bold “Sniff out”. You'll be able to tell if the one who made this post is lying or not.

Pikachu, the kindhearted protective brawler, played by Noola

QUOTE
It's a back flip and a counter-clockwise spin. You are Pikachu

Small, cute, cuddly and always ready with an electric shock. You are a kind-hearted individual who cares deeply for the well-being of the other smashers, and that someone could even think about hurting them is preposterous. Until the very end, you look for a peaceful solution, for the sake of your friends, and most importantly Pichu, your little brother. Hence, on day one you will automatically vote No Lynch. You're a speedster, and great at getting to the place you want in an instant. And that ability will serve you well in these trying times. Your inquisitive nature, bright mind and cute exterior also make you an excellent investigator.

You win with the big four. If the other three are trophified, you win with the loyalists.

Your powers are.

Big Sister: Pichu is your little brother. You can speak to him at night. You can also never vote for him.

Quick attack: A passive ability. You're immune to daykills, and have a 50% chance to avoid all other harmful actions.

Befriend: Your friendly nature allows you to easily befriend others and learn information from them. At night, PM me with “BEFRIEND (person)”. In doing so you'll learn his or her name, and you have a chance to learn what powers or the alignment of this person. Some people, you'll even be able to temporary speak with at night.

Big four: You're one of the big four and you share some powers. This means that, among other things, you have a one-shot nightkill immunity

Kirby, the puffball of Popstar, played by Narsrim

QUOTE
“Hiiii!” You're pink. You're fluffy. And you're round. You're Kirby.

Sakurai's favourite. You're that pink fluffy ball so desperate for the spot-light that you'll steal it from Mario, Link and Pikachu, but hey that makes you a Big four too, doesn't it? Your games are not as popular as they once were, but you're not about to let that stop you. You're a bit careless, but you recognize the dangers of this new situation. Your unique ability to copy the abilities of others is certainly going to be helpful, and your ability to turn to stone will keep you alive if you're ever in trouble.

You win with the Big Four. If the other three are trophified, you win with the Loyalists.

Your powers are:

Copy: You may attempt to copy the powers of someone. Once each day, you may send me a PM with “INHALE: (person)”. If that person has a copyable power, you'll attain it and be able to use it once. You can't inhale someone if you already have a power. In order to throw a power away, post on the forums, in bold, Hiiii.

Stone: If you didn't inhale during the day, you can transform yourself to stone at night, and thus make you immune to kills for that night.

Big four: You're one of the big four, and you share some powers.

The traitors

Sonic the blue speed demon, played by Diamondais

QUOTE
You're too slow, so c'mon and step it up to the beat. You're Sonic the Hedgehog.

Remember the good old days? The ideals of friendship and unity. When relying on your friends was the only way to true power? Yeah? Well screw that. This time, you're bad to the bone and... not really proud of it. I mean sure, you left Nintendo and keep playing around with Sony, but that's no reason to keep you out of the first and second tournament. So really, it is their fault. It's also their fault that you're now working for Crazy Hand, in an attempt to spread chaos. You done justifying your actions now? That's great, because now we begin. Oh, one final piece of advice. Keep an eye out for Midna. She might prove useful.

You win with the Traitors when you're in the majority, and all members of the Big Four are downed.

Your powers are:

Sonic Speed: You're completely immune to most kills. Just watch out for lynches and Final Smashes. This won't work if you're killing that night.

Homing attack: When you're chosen as killer, you can target someone by character, instead of name. You can't target Pikachu, Link, Mario or Kirby this way.

Snake, the soldier of war, played by Shiri

QUOTE
Snake? Snake! SNAAAAAAKE!!! You got it yet? You're Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.

A soldier of war with an affinity for cardboard boxes. Your skills as a soldier certainly prove useful when fighting, both inside and outside the arena. With the help of allies like Mei Ling, Otacon and Colonel, your undercover mission should go smooth. Guessed it yet? Yeah, you're not exactly pro-town this time. You've been helping Crazy Hand in his not so sane antics to spread some chaos into the world. Why? You dunno. It just... feels right somehow. Now, let's get this show on the road. As a final piece of advice, watch out for Lyn. She might end up helpful.

You win with the Traitors when you're in the majority, and all members of the Big Four are downed.

Your powers are:

Codec: If you're not killing that night, you can contact your allies to learn some information about someone. To use, at night PM me with “CALL (Mei-Ling/Otacon/Colonel) REGARDING (person)”. Be careful though, you have a 50% chance to be discovered before learning anything, at which point you have to hide in your box.

Cardboard: You can't kill what you can't see. If things get too heated up, you can hide in your cardboard box to make yourself immune to everything. To use, during the day post in the forums “HIDE IN CARDBOARD BOX”. You can only use it once, but at least you won't get lynched. Just make sure there's no one around with the ability to find you.

R.O.B. your robotic operating buddy, played by Harkux

QUOTE
01001010100110101010101010101010 You. Are. R.O.B.

Yeah... that's what happens when you let Crazy Hand mess with your coding. You're now working for him in an attempt to get trophies to his little collection. But despite the mess he's made of your circuits, there's one smasher he overlooked. You're unable to harm Pichu. As a traitor, this could be considered a bad thing. But hey, you're smart. Figure out a way to turn that into a good thing.

You win with the Traitors when you're in the majority, and all members of the Big Four are downed.

Your powers are:

R.O.B. Laser: Charge your laser to unleash devastation. It starts uncharged, but each night it charges up a little more. After five days, it is charged up to the maximum, though you can unleash it earlier. Who knows what'll happen to the one hit by the beam. To use, during the day type in the Forums “SHOOT (person) WITH LASER”.

Gyro disc: If you're not killing that night, you can send me a PM with the message “GYRO (person)” to knock him or her dizzy, and make him or her target a random person with their night ability.

Mr Game&Watch, the start of a gaming franchise, played by Caerulo

QUOTE
Dot. Dat. Det. Beep. Ringringring. MrGame&Watch

You're the most two-dimensional character to ever grace the market. You're more flat than the rose cliché, you have less depth than a piece of paper. And you're the chosen representative of the meagre video-game beginning. The Game&Watch machine. An interesting thing of note is that the distilled essence of your being can be used to create evil copies of someone. Another thing of note is that you were kidnapped by Tabuu and used for this very purpose. Tabuu was a bad guy. Know what that makes you? Completely amoral. You have no understanding for the concepts of good and evil, and this time... it's Crazy Hand who is using you in his erratic schemes.

You win with the Traitors when you're in the majority, and all members of the Big Four are downed.

Your powers are:

Judge: During the day, you may swing your hammer at someone to create a random effect. You can use the hammer as many times during the day as you want, but an effect will only come up once. To use, during the day type out in the forums “JUDGE (person)”. The effects are.

1.Self-destruction.
2.Nothing
3.Regular vote.
4.Destroy item carried
5.Triple vote
6.Vote-block
7.Lynch immunity
8.Vote-block and Role-block
9.Daykill.

Watch: You're not just a game, but a watch. Twice during the game, at daytime you may post on the forums “WATCH”, and create a 24 hour deadline before the day ends.

Taint: If you're not killing that night, you can create a shadow copy of someone to confuse investigators. At night, you may send me a PM with “TAINT (person)”. If that person is investigated during the same night, he'll come up as scum.

The three wildcards

Pichu, the young child desperate to prove his worth, played by Tekora
QUOTE
KAWAII!! No, it ain't your name, but you'd think it was, as that's what every wannabe genki girl calls you. You are Pichu.

You're the cute little brother of Pikachu. Originally from Melee, you chose to abstain from participating in Brawl after your disaster of a performance during the last championship. The shame burns strongly within you, and you wish that there was some way you could prove your worth to the others. For the time being though, you're just working as a ridiculously cute and overly energetic mascot. There's nobody you can't charm. Which is good because, let's face it. A fighter you are not. Something to note is that you can't put the first or last vote on anyone. If you try... well you won't die, but it'll be fun to watch.

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you can win with... well pretty much everyone.

Your Powers are:

Feeble: You need more training. All actions taken against you always succeed. Even if you're protected by a doctor or the one targeting you is roleblocked, you still suffer a 50% chance at being taken out. You're only safe if you have both protection and your attacker is roleblocked.

Cute: Charming little fella, ain't ya? During the day, you may post in the forums “PI CHU” to make two random people unable to vote for you, or “PIICHUU” to make someone who has put a vote on you unable to vote for you. They'll also be unable to use any powers on you the rest of the day and the following night.

Little Brother: You're Pikachu's little brother. Feel free to speak to her during the night.

Innocence: You don't know what you've been caught up in. Really, you don't. This cuteness and innocence makes you hard to lynch. You have a 50% chance to survive any lynch attempt. Of course, you can't Mafia Kill until you're the last Mafia remaining, and you only have a 50% chance to succeed

Lyn, the swordswoman of skill and grace, played by Shamarah
QUOTE
Taste my blade Evildoer! You are Lyn.

Sucks to be a girl huh? You should've been a real fighter, but instead they chose to have Ike as a representative, leaving you to be a simple Assist Trophy. Bah, it doesn't matter. You're just gonna prove your worth by being one of the strongest Assistants there is. Mario offered to let you leave when things started to get bad, since your alibi checks out, but no you won't. You'll stay and prove to them that you are a far better representative than Ike.

You win with the Big Four. If they fall in battle, you win with the Femmes.

I'll handle this: Sometimes, the time has come when speaking is done with, and it is time to take action. If someone has half (or more) the votes required to be lynched, and more votes than you, you may post on the forums “I'll handle this” to immediately lynch the individual. This can be done twice during the game.

Prepare yourself: Prove your might as a swordswoman. During the day, you may post on the forums “Prepare yourself (person).”. 24 hours later, you'll kill him or her, unless he/she has taken some action of self-preservation. If you change your mind, you may post on the forums “DISENGAGE”. You can only challenge someone once each day.

Doubt: Is this right? You don't know. Everything seems... wrong to you. Did you do the right thing in letting Snake convince you to join them? This doubt hides your scummy nature from investigations.

Midna, frustrated and overlooked companion from Twilight Princess, played by Kiriwe
QUOTE
Hidden within the shadows, brought into the light by Zelda. You are Midna.

The true ruler of twilight, and yet they still went with Toon Link instead of you. Way to lack originality. Ah well. At least they let you come here and watch. Link fights well, but that's surely because you've been cheering him on. There's no way he can lose then. At least that's what you thought, but things aren't so sure now. You know that it wasn't you who trophified Olimar, Mario knows it too. So you could leave, but you chose not to. You owe Link and Zelda, so it's time for you to pay your debt.

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you win with the Beasts and the Femmes.

Control darkness: If Link is cursed, you can help him control the curse. As long as you are alive, Link can choose his shape. But shh. If Ganondorf finds out about this before Link is cursed, you'll only be able to permanently remove it, rather than letting him control when to be what.

Twilight: Hide away in the darkness of Twilight. Thrice during the game, you can send me a PM with the message “HIDE IN TWILIGHT”. This can be done day or night, and lasts until dusk/dawn. None will be able to target you with anything.

Dark hand: Now that you're scum, you might as well make the most out of it. When you mafia-kill someone, their role won't be revealed at dawn.

Everyone else

Samus, bounty hunter extraordinaire, played by Shaddus
QUOTE
Hailing from Brinstar, you are Samus, the female Bounty Hunter.

An agile athlete, with sharp intellect, big guns and great looks to boot. Your games have never enjoyed the popularity of Pokemon or the Legend of Zelda, but you still have a solid fanbase to be proud off. You're one of the eight original smashers, and have been a starting character in every game to this day. People think of you as a strong heroine, but is there perhaps a more feminine side to you?

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you can win with the Loyalists or the Femmes.

Your power is:

Charged Shot: By firing off a powerful blast of energy, you have a chance to turn someone into trophy. Once a day, you can post in the forums “SHOOT: (person)”. This has a 50% chance to turn them into a trophy.

---

You used the Zero beam didn't you? You're now Zero Suit Samus.

Without the protection of your suit, you feel more vulnerable. Armed with only a single weapon, you have to rely on your agility, speed and the laser whip mode of your gun to survive. Luckily, there's only five or so smashers who need to be constantly reminded that you're a human being with feelings and emotions, and not some object to lust after. But that's no biggie. You're equipped to take care of yourself, and others too for that matter. Your relationship with Pikachu hints to a motherly side to your character you wouldn't think exists.

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you can win with the Loyalists or the Femmes.

Your power is:

Stun gun: Once a day, you can shoot someone with a bolt of electricity, preventing them from voting and from using any other day abilities. To use, during the day, type out “ZAP: (person)”.

Fox McCloud, hero of Lylat, played by Dai.
QUOTE
Do a barrel roll and hold A to charge your laser. You're Fox McCloud.

Leader of team Star-Fox, a group of mercenaries from Corneria. You're responsible for ending menaces like Andross, Andrew Oikonny, Pigma Dengar, the Aparoids and the Anglars. And despite all of this, you still can't man up and confess to the girl you like. You may be 28, but you act like you're 18. Of course, that's half the charm, isn't it? Unfortunately, that charm might not work on Wolf, your nemesis.

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you can win with the Loyalists.

Your powers are:

Spycam: You can send out a spycam to keep watch over someone and see if anything is done to them at night. To use, at night send me a PM with the message “WATCH: (person)”

Confront: At night, you can, instead of watching someone, try to confront the person. To use, at night send me a PM with the message “CONFRONT: (person)”. In most instances, this'll do Zilch, but if the target is Wolf...

Lucas, the wielder of PK Love, played by Arix

QUOTE
Give light to the small one who, walks his path alone. You're Lucas.

A young shy boy with incredible psychic powers. You're the hero from Nowhere isles who saved the world from Pokey's selfish desire to destroy everything. With your friends Kumatora, Duster and Boney, you had an amazing adventure during which you learned courage and the value of not fleeing from difficult situations. But at the terrible cost of losing half your family. Now Lucas, fight to protect your new friends. Show them that you're no longer the crybaby of your youth, but a fine young man, worthy of wielding the awesome power that is PK Love.

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you can win with the Loyalists or the Kids.

Your power is:

Psi Defence up α: Once a day, you may post in the forums “PSI Defence up α: (person)” to make it harder to lynch that person. You may use it on yourself.

Pit, angel of Light, played by Daganev
QUOTE
The most loyal servant of Palutena, the Goddess of Light, you are Pit.

Armed with the bow of Palutena, the Mirror Shield, the Arrow of Light and the Wings of Pegasus, you are one impressive angel. You bear the weight of responsibility with these powerful tools, and in the Brawl, you use them to prove that you are a force to be recognized. You fight in honour of your queen, who guides and aids you to victory in the battles against the other smashers. It is your hope that your strength will be able to get you through these trials. For Palutena!

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you win with the Loyalists.

Your powers are:

Relics: Three relics have been granted you to use in the fight. The Mirror Shield, which for one night will reflect anything done to you back to the one who used it against you. The Arrow of Light who will pierce through the heart of evil, and the Wings of Pegasus, which will allow you and one other person to take refuge in the skies. Each relic may only be used once. To use them, at night send me a PM with the message “USE (relic) ON (person)”.

Captain Falcon, the powerhouse behind the steering wheel of the Blue Falcon, played by Solanis
QUOTE
Show your moves Captain Falcon.

Speeding around on the stage with streetfightin' kung fu. You're the F-Zero racer chosen to participate in the Brawl. And yeah, you're a good guy, despite having perhaps the most annoying taunt in brawling history. But hey, why not put it to good use in drawing the fire to yourself. But this is taking too long, so let's get to the meat of the issue.

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you win with the rebels.

Your power is:

Show your moves: Taunt someone, and draw their attention to you. When used during the day on a person, they'll be forced to vote for you and use their day-powers on you. However, their frustration gives them a 50% chance to miss, in addition to whatever natural miss-chance their day-power might have. You can use it as many times as you want, just make sure you don't kill yourself with it. To use, post in the forums “SHOW YOUR MOVES (person)”.

Zelda/Shiek, the wielder of the triforce of wisdom, played by Furien
QUOTE
Beautiful princess by day, sneaky ninja by night. You are Zelda/Shiek

Wielding the triforce of wisdom, you are a powerful magician with a pure, just heart. You have stood fast against the creeping darkness of Ganondorf time and time again. You are a symbol of hope to the land. You are also one who can wield the arrows of Light, and use them to great effect. Twice, Ganondorf has fallen to your arrows of Light. In battle as Zelda, you wield the holy magic of the three goddesses, while as Shiek you wield your abilities like a trained Sheika. Now, go forth and use your powers to protect your allies from the unknown murderers.

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you win with the Loyalists and the Femmes.

Your powers are:

Nayru's love: Protect yourself with the power of the blue goddess. She who poured heart into the land. You are immune to all energy and missile based attacks during the day.

Shadow folk: Impa has taught you well. At night, you may study someone closely and find out information about his or her role. To use, send me a PM with the message “STALK (person)”.

Transform: Be Zelda when you're Sheik, be Sheik when you're Zelda. The great thing about being a “two-in-one” package is that you can be what you need when you need it. Well... ideally. But you can only use this three times. To use, send me a PM with the message “TRANSFORM”. If done during the day, you'll instantly investigate someone. If done during the night, you'll be offered the protection of Nayru's love through the whole night, making you immune to NK.

Peach, beautiful princess of Mushroom Kingdom, played by... actually. She wasn't played by anyone.
QUOTE
Would you like some tea? You are the symbol of elegance. Peach

Lalalalala. You are Mario's girlfriend and the target of Bowser's affection. Elegantly wielding a parasol among many other useful objects, you are a threat to be recognized in the Brawl. Though I really have to ask. What's up with the tennis racket? Even when doing sports, something you're pretty good at, you keep your elegance and skill. Watching you score goals in Mario Strikers is a beauty to behold. But fun and games will have to wait until later. Mario needs help, and you are going to give it to him.

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you win with the Loyalists and the Femmes.

Your power is:

Kiss of love: Thrice during the game, at night you may send me a PM with the message “KISS (person)”. This has a chance to revive them from being trapped as a trophy.

Hey guys! The Ice climbers are here.

Popo and Nana, Nana and Popo. Twin girl and boy. Two young eskimo twins with a strange obsession to climb mountains. On the way up there, you've met many strange creatures, such as white fuzzball snowballs and polar bears with sunglasses and bathing shorts. Yeah. Those shorts are just weird. Anyway, you two keep an eye on each other. There are some dangerous guys out there, so you gotta take care of each other.

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you win with the Kids.

Your power is:

Twins: There are two of you. Which means that if you're hit by a kill, you'll get another chance to survive. Just watch out for Lynching and certain attacks as they'll target both of you.

Yoshi, the green dinosaur from the Mario World, played by Archer2
QUOTE
Yahoo. Coming straight from the tropical islands. You're Yoshi.

The green little dinosaur with big eyes and even bigger heart. The millennium star thought of you as the best representative of Kindness, and not without reason. Your nature has charmed the hearts of many people, young and old alike. You are a peculiar creature, with an even stranger physique, but at least you're not shooting cannonballs from your nose, or eggs from your mouth. Mushroom Kingdom is wacky, so it's a good thing you're there to give it some stability.

You win with the Big Four. If they collapse, you'll win with the Beasts.

Your power is:

Egg lay: Whip out your tongue, latch it onto someone and swallow them whole. They'll be trapped in an egg and unable to do anything the whole night long. To use, at night send me a PM with the message “SWALLOW (person)”.

Lucario, guardian of aura, played by Fania
QUOTE
Behold! The power of Aura. You are Lucario.

A human-sized canine with four ears, a metal spike prodding out of your chest and the ability to sense the aura of all things. If the makers of the Mario Bros series smoked mushrooms, then I don't want to know what drug produced you. But hey, who cares that you're an oddity. You're a damn cool oddity with a huge fanbase. Now if you could just do something about the rabid Mewtwo fans who blame you for him not being in Brawl. Well, you can leave that matter behind for the time being. Right now, you have more important things to consider. It's your responsibility to keep Pichu alive and well. Pikachu trusts you in this matter. Remember this.

You win with the Big Four. If you lose them, you win with the Loyalists or the Beasts.

Your powers are:

Aura sight: You can see the aura of all things. None can hide from you. You can also peer into the heart of someone and see what is hidden there. To use, at night PM me with the message “AURA SENSE: (person)”.

Aura sphere: Watch the power of Aura! At first it is weak and feeble, but as more votes are put on you it grows ever stronger, until you are one vote away from being lynched. The power of Aura may be used in an attempt to annihilate the evildoers who lurk among you. To use, during the day post on the forums “CONJURE AURA SPHERE AT (person)”. If no votes are put on you, it only has a 10% chance of daykilling, but if you are one vote away from being lynched, it will have a 100% chance of killing your target.

Bowser, King of the Koopa, played by Casilu
QUOTE
I'm sorry Mario, but I've already taken the princess to another castle. You are Bowser.

The mighty king Koopa, leader of the mighty Koopa Troop. A mighty, marvellous menace. Mighty tired of mighty yet? Yeah, me too. You are Mario's arch nemesis. The two of you have fought against each other several times, but you always lose. At least you've had slightly better luck during the brawls, but it still isn't enough. You have to trounce him, and show princess Toadstool that you're the man for her. In battle that is. Kidnapping is all well and good, but assassination is just tasteless. So in order of priority. Weed out the scum. Trounce Mario. Marry Peach.

You win with the Big Four. If they're thwomped, you win with the beasts or the rebels.

Your powers are:

Another castle: You're nothing if not resilient. If you're lynched, you'll come back the morning after, ready to show who's boss. It only works once though.

Kidnap: You're an expert at making people be where you want them to be instead where they want to be. At night, you can send me a PM with the message “KIDNAP: “person””. They can't be the target of anything that night except Watchers and Trackers. This acts both as doctor protection and roleblocking. There are also some people who are immune to being kidnapped, and there are some who'll remain kidnapped for a while even after dawn breaks.

Wolf, the cruel serial killer, played by Renthur
QUOTE
What's the matter? Scared of the big bad Wolf?

Time to show these kids what a real fighter can do. You're Wolf O'Donnel, leader of Starwolf. Narcissist much? You're proud at least, as proud and arrogant of your abilities as Fox is of his. You and Fox are rivals, competitors, and very commonly lovers in a plethora of slashfics with varying quality. Cute. But not that important to begin with. Sure, chasing after Fox, and no I don't want to hear the reason why, it might be fun, but for the time being probably not the smartest thing to do. Of course, if you see your chance then go for it. Until then, make sure that the scum gets kicked out of here for good.

You win with the Big Four. If they're goners, you win with the Beasts or rebels.

Special: Now that you've killed Fox, you're a serial killer. You win if you survive until the end of the game and kill six people in total.

Your powers are:

Spycam: You can send out a spycam to keep track of someone and see if he does anything to someone. To use, at night send me a PM with the message “TRACK: (person)”

Confront: At night, you can, instead of watching someone, try to confront the person. To use, at night send me a PM with the message “CONFRONT: (person)”. In some instances, this'll do Zilch, if the target is easy prey, you're in luck, but if the target is Fox...

Ganondorf, the evil sorcerer, played by Doman
QUOTE
Hailing from Gerudo Valley. You are the evil king Ganondorf.

A powerful sorcerer and practitioner of the dark arts. You wield the Triforce of power and with it you spread your influence across the realms. To the common folk, your power is comparable to that of a god. But eh, Link, Zelda and their pals still stomp your bushy red beard into the ground. The Brawl is an excellent chance for you to prove that you are in truth the strongest of them, and that you should wield all the triangles in the triforce. You have to wonder why Din lets you keep the piece, after all her oracle was kidnapped in Holodrum so that you could be resurrected. Ah well, let's save that question for later. While you may be an evil man, you are not among those who want to destroy the tournament.

You win with the Big Four. If they fall, you win with the rebels.

Your power is:

Warlock punch: Strike someone with a fist enhanced with black magic. This has a 50% chance to kill, and a 50% chance to K.O. the target. To use, at night send me a PM with “PUNCH: (person)”.

Curse: Curse that Link. You despise him. At night, instead of punching you may attempt to curse someone. For most, this will do nothing, but if you find Link... To use, at night send me a PM with the message “CURSE (person)”.

Ness, the hero from Onett, played by Llandros
QUOTE
Okay. Let's get this adventure on the road. For friendship. For peace. For steak. You're Ness

Hailing from Onett. You are an energetic young boy who wields incredible psychic powers. Along with Paula, Jeff and Poo, you fought against the Cosmic Horror Giegue/Giygas and your fat neighbour Pokey. Something funny to note is that, despite the fact that you absorbed the power of the earth into yourself after you defeated your nightmare (who for some reason looked like a gigantic gold statue that causes hallucinations), you still couldn't do anything to actually defeat Giygas. You had to rely on Paula, whose prayer reached out across the whole world and really, truly brought the whole world to fight with you. I guess it's true. Songs and Prayers are far stronger than psionic meteor swarms.

You win with the Big Four. If they're ruined, you win with the Kids and the rebels.

Your power is:

PSI Offence up α: Once a day, you may post in the forums “PSI Offence up α: (person)” to increase the worth of the vote of that person. You may use it on yourself.

Also, now that it's over, the reason I couldn't replace Esano was because Shiri leaked role information to me. <.< Granted, I didn't tell him I was a replacement quickly enough, and Peach's death at least gave the scum a biiit more of a chance.

^--- sorry about this, I asked if she was in the game just to make sure, and she said no, so I told her about my stuff, since she was watching the game...and then she said she was a replacement...doh.gif Oh well.

Wait a minute...so there WAS another "scum" group...they just won with the town. *boggle*

To be continued?
Unknown2009-03-03 13:57:38
And the stuff from before, cause I didn't want to disrupt Kira's role cast.

To show you why Shiri's list of bad stuff was bad:
1. Tons of investigative abilities : Scum can't lie. Scum has really high chance of being investigated.
2. Tons of various forms of immunities and protection: Townies can reveal without fear of being attacked at night
3. Big Four thing: Scum can't target useful townies, we have to guess who are the Big Four and try to get rid of them first. So even with the ridiculous amounts of role claims we had this game, we couldn't go for any of them, cause we had to go after the Big Four first.
4. A combination of 1. and 2. meant that everyone that didn't roleclaim is either a Big Four or scum. Like Daganev said, we could guess who were the Big Four by roughly Day 3. Big Four, under pressure, can reveal and be assured of a protection. Scum can't
5. Only 4 scum in a game of 25. Not only that, we had to kill 4 people out of the remaining 21 FIRST, before we can work on the rest.

Like Shiri, I had a list of some mistakes we made:
1. Shiri roleclaiming so early. We were very worried when Harkux was going to be lynched, as we feared that her role would have 'You win with Snake, Mr G&W and Sonic', which would have killed Shiri immediately. Fortunately, no such line, and Shiri managed to deflect most stuff pointed at him.
2. Harkux using the laser even when it was useless.
3. My whole Tingle thing. We initially wanted to use it to try to point suspicion at Furien, as he was the only one who got information through the Nintendogs. I assumed too much, and assumed that he already knew about the Taint ability, which I thought was the reason why he was asking for the name of my ability. On hindsight, what I should have done was to contradict Furien, and NOT bring up the Taint ability. <-- (The point where I felt we were doomed)

Like Shiri, I was really, really glad we did not have to contend with rezzers. I mean, we only get one kill per night, and they can get rezzed anyway? Even worse, the Big Four could be rezzed? I'm just glad no rezzing occurred.

I pestered Shiri almost every Day about the Lyn thing, because that would have helped us tremendously, especially the lynch at half votes thing. Midna was more meh, seeing as she was already scummy-looking, and had no useful abilities for us. Still, having five people would have been much better than just three. Also, we thought that the daily event would be the opportunity for us to get Lyn and Midna, so we attempted to go after the Smashball and the daily event, instead of the Smashbag or Final Smash.

We were really confused about the Night 3 turn about though. Our entire scum team had only one kill per night, and for that night, we had targetted Rika. And to make things better, Casilu kidnapped the two remaining possible Pikachus.

Then, of course, that very same day caused our doom.

Aaaand. I'm done. You may resume ranting.

There was? Where?

It looks like Kiradawea thought Pichu/Shamarah/Midna somehow qualified as scum...I mean, there's even an innocence-type ability in there. And some mention of "mafia kill."

But they're not scum cause they also have the "win with the big 4" line and no reason to get in their way, same as the rebels.
