"Okay..." Mario sighs and turns to his three companions. Kirby, Link and Pikachu all stand before him, ready to hear what he has to say. "They're good. They're very good. They've managed to disable all our security measures, so we have no way of tracking them."

"What do you mean?" Link interrupts. "I checked those systems yesterday to make sure everything was in order. I didn't notice anything strange."

"That might so be, but right now all our cameras are disabled. It'll take weeks to go through the system and find out where the problem lies."

"And at this rate." Pikachu looks at the others present. "We'll be lucky to have A week. Everyone is out to kill one another. They feel like they can't trust anyone..."

"Hey, cheer up." Kirby says. "Look, maybe we can't fix the system, but we don't need a system do we? We've fought and won against bigger threats than this. Master Hand, Crazy Hand, Tabuu. Whomever it is who is behind this, we'll be sure to get them."

"If it only was that easy." Mario shakes his head. "The thing is, we'd have noticed if the Hands or Tabuu attacked. They must have an insider. Someone who is working to break us down from the inside."

Immediately, the four looks suspiciously at one another, before Pikachu breaks the tension with laughter. "Oh come on Mario. None of us are traitors."

"None of us. Right." Mario nods. "We're not traitors. But whom else can we really trust?" Pikachu can't really respond to this. "While I am loathe to think about it, no one out there can be trusted. Sure, I want to believe the best but... how will I know that my brother hasn't been blinded by jealousy?" He looks towards the others. "I can't trust Peach. The same way you can't trust Jigglypuff, or you can't trust Zelda. Or... yeah, you definately can't trust King DeDeDe."

"Actually." Kirby tries to speak up, but a faint buzzing sound hums from just outside the room. "What the... get down!"

The four smashers barely manage to avoid a black arrow as it comes whizzing into the room. They turn to look towards the exit, but whomever attacked them has already dropped the black arrow gun and left. The four make quick pursuit after the mysterious figure through the hallways, but whomever it is always seems to be one corner ahead of them. They finally bump into a big trophy that blocks the way. King DeDeDe stands vigilantly upon his pedestal, stone cold but still with a cheerful expression. The four look at each other, then look down. A crushed DeDeDe brooch lies beneath the large penguin. "This... is not good." Mario utters.

King DeDeDe was an NPC.

Way to tease us with an awesome brooch we'll never get cause the NPC is always going to die before he can hand it out!

It looks like a bonus that was meant to be unlikely that we would be able to use.

And yes, as Noola said, I am the King of the Koopas. I'm just very resilient and have no powers than the ability to come back the next day after being killed. Over and over and over again.

Well, I think with Dedede, the idea is that if Furien had used his Special rather than triggering the event, Dedede would have survived to hand out the amulets until someone finally triggered the event.

Has anyone been suspicious at all? We've had a lot of activity for a first day... But no votes or FOSs or nothin. I ask because I, myself, haven't noticed anything suspicious and want to know if anyone's caught something I've missed.

Looks like you're outta luck. The Poison mushroom makes you require only half the regular amount of votes to lynch, and makes you extra vulnerable to abilities that only have a chance to succeed. It lasts until dusk.

Only thing would be Shaddus' totally insane shot at Doman earlier--could be Dark Samus, but I don't actually think so.

Hm. So, Ganon and Dedede down. Bowser revealed. That leaves Wario, and possibly Wolf, and very very very slim chance of MetaKnight. Wolf and Metaknight are former villains-turned-sometimes-helpful-rival. However, in the game, Metaknight is a complete good guy, and I'm thinking this is more based off of Smash Bros than the characters individual games.

I don't suppose Wario wants to claim?

We know Ganon was after Link, but is anyone after the others? I think if you are, but still aligned with the Big Four, maybe you should hold off, I mean, if all of our factions splinter, it'll end up a whole lot harder for anyone to win, and the game will take a whole lot longer to complete.

I get a mildly scummy vibe from your post. You basically repeated information well known, offered up a random speculation, and then suggested Wario claim. Why?

I hate to break it to you, Nars, but 90% of Mafia is repeating information everyone already knows in slightly different ways trying to get something out of it.

Though, I'm curious, what was well known? The fact that splintering groups would make the game harder for everyone to win? Some people honestly don't think that way, and I felt it needed to be said.

The Wolf and Metaknight thing, I hardly think everyone would know.

As for Wario, that's simple--knowing who our rebels are is a possibly advantageous position, because if Ganon had anti-Link, and Wario says he has anti-Mario powers, then possibly Casilu is lying. On top of that, Dedede is a villain, yet he was an NPC, I was curious if any other villains (who, honestly, I'd think were most likely to be traitors) were not actually players.

It was also just an off-hand statement--a suggestion, like you said, and not a demand.

Smash Sandbag

Well, I don't really see how S.A.W. is being scummy. I appreciated his run down on who may be left, because I am not really familiar with Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

And that list earlier? the one that had all the SSB characters in it? I don't think we are limited to just those characters as people in the game.

I'm guessing then that you're someone else? That's.. interesting.

I'd say that I'd really like to know who you are, because if there are other characters, that could give us something to go off of. But I'll let everyone else have a say on that without pushing anything.

Mr Saturn does nothing :/ and I can use the bat to destroy somebody else's item. If I knew more about Narsrim, I might use it to destroy his mushroom, but I have no idea who he is.
