Interesting kin, to say the least! I enjoy these.

I never realized Grigoloth and Kiriwe were related, I thought they were lovers until now. whatthe.gif

They are y'Kaliath. It's not mutually exclusive...
Mirami2009-02-25 17:08:10
Do post more of these.

A short interaction with some god that I am assuming was Elostian. It would be much better if I were more philosophically inclined, but it was still a great cure for my boredom. Not family-centered, but I'm still posting it here since it involved a couple of y'Kaliath people.

QUOTE
Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "What are you doing?"

With a twitch of her eye, you say, "Sitting as still as I possibly can."

You peer about yourself unscrupulously.

You murmur, "And apparently listening to voices in my head."

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "Why are you sitting still?"

Leaning back in her chair, you say, "Just feeling lazy today, I suppose."

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "That's not very productive, is it?"

You sigh, "No... suppose I should be cooking or gathering up more commodities. But that would require me to get up out of my cozy chair."

A sense of quiet bemusement creeps into the vicinity.

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "You approve of your chair then?"

Eyeing her chair's cushion, you say, "Well... it's sort of ugly. But it's really just the comfort that matters."

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "Indeed, you are not one for aesthetic appeal then?"

You chew on your lip thoughtfully.

You say, "I usually am. Something pink held up by pony-shaped legs would be better. But this is what I have to be lazy on right now, so I'm content with it."

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "Why pink?"

You say, "Pink is the best color there is, of course! It's the perfect blend of cheer and femininity."

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "Is this not subject to opinion?"

You say, "Yes... some people think yellow is more cheery. Or orange. But pink is my preference."

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "Why do you not go out and obtain a pink chair then?"

You shake your head.

You say, "Haven't seen any designs I like..."

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "What makes one like things? What gives rise to taste?"

You say, "Experiences, I would say. If one has a really good experience with... say... the taste of a banana, there's a possibility they will end up liking fruit and the color yellow."

You say, "A bad experience with a ball could lead to an irrational fear of bouncy things."

You nod your head sagely.

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "Then by your reasoning, someone who eats a lot of bananas must like yellow?"

You say, "Not necessarily... but they're more likely to than someone who has no positive memories associated with that color."

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice says, "What would determine the association then?"

You say, "Memories of things... that person may have come to like the color yellow and bananas because they have a very good memory of eating chopped bananas in their childhood. I suppose that someone who had an unhappy childhood might feel an aversion to bananas if they had eaten a lot of them during that unpleasant time in their life."

Kiriwe arrives from the west.

Kiriwe gives a pained sigh.

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice tells you, "Naturally."

Kiriwe y'Kaliath, Tainted Minuet says to you, "Hi mom."

Inclining her head, you say, "Feeling better, dear?"

Kiriwe scowls miserably.

You sigh, "Didn't think so."

You say, "Have your taste for candy back yet?"

Kiriwe sits herself down on a black onyx chair and makes herself comfortable.

The Divine voice of Someone powerful echoes in your head, "Domestic trouble? I do not wish to impose."

Kiriwe y'Kaliath, Tainted Minuet shakes her head at you.

Kiriwe y'Kaliath, Tainted Minuet says to you, "I don't think I have the stomach for it."

You nod your head slowly in understanding.

Kiriwe y'Kaliath, Tainted Minuet pats the bloody stain on her sari.

Murmuring, you say, "It's no imposition. She's just moody."

Kiriwe looks up at you curiously.

You take a sticky piece of caramel from an elegantly detailed silver candy box.

Kiriwe y'Kaliath, Tainted Minuet asks you, "Who are you talking to?"

You say to Kiriwe, "The voice in my head."

You nod your head sagely.

Kiriwe peers at you unscrupulously.

You say, "I'll keep some candy in my box for you in case your appetite returns."

You say to Kiriwe, "I'm not crazy! Plenty of people get voices in their heads."

Kiriwe y'Kaliath, Tainted Minuet says to you, "Not you, though."

Emanating from the aether, a sonorous multi-toned voice tells you, "The only difference between genius and insanity is whether or not other people agree."

Som, I have to ask, do you and Dae sit around in the manse whenever you see one of your kids show up and plot to trap them in an uncomfortable situation?

The answer to this is a resounding "YES!" It has to be.
Somaria2009-02-25 22:34:10
This took place after Somaria and Daedalion were told by Mihewi that Grigoloth and Kiriwe had shamed the family.

It's only a snippet, because the thing was so long, and is in the point of view of Kiriwe.

I call it, Somaria's Wrath.

Just after Kiriwe's been mortally wounded BY Grigoloth (As part of their punishment). Tau is in the room, as well as Daedalion, Grigoloth, and Somaria. Mihewi comes in later and though Kiriwe isn't doing anything, she's laying on the ground, blood pouring out of her wounds:
QUOTE
Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance rests her gaze upon Grigoloth easily.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance says, "Good boy."

Calming down, and nodding, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria,
"Thank you, Mother."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee lowers his head silently, placing his hands
neatly to his front.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance says to Tau, "Mind dragging the
pitiful toad over a bit. Daedalion still needs to administer another
punishment."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "What is next, Dear Mother?"

Lord Deathchord Daedalion y'Kaliath, the Prince of Mourning smiles wickedly,
shifting his eyes over the sight in question. Turning his head back to Somaria,
he smirks and says "Yes, at least the boy knows how to kill things."

Deathstinger Tau y'Kaliath, Overseer of Blood flinches, inching away from
Somaria.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance asks Grigoloth, "Does this please you
as well? The death and dying and killing?"

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance steps towards you, drawing back her
foot only to kick the child away from the central area to make room.

His face shaking with emotion priorly unknown to him, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops
Trainee says to Somaria, "I feel quite alive, Mother."

Stepping back towards her daughter, Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance
says, "The child should have known better."

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance asks Daedalion, "Begin?"

Raising his head proudly from his Mother's words, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee
says to Somaria, "I am ready from my punishment, Mother."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee stands firm at attention.

Lord Deathchord Daedalion y'Kaliath, the Prince of Mourning glares over at
Grigoloth, his feet carrying him closer. Stepping behind Grigoloth with a smile
resembling sadistic amusment, he lifts one of his legs and plants a vicious kick
to the back of Grigoloth's knee. In an commanding tone he snarls, "On the floor,
wretch!." Hands hanging clenched at his sides as he shakes his head in complete
disgust.

Falling to the floor on his knees and grimacing in pain, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops
Trainee says to Daedalion, "This excites you above all else, doesn't it Father?"

Waving her hand at the three, Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance says to
Tau, "Kiriwe and Grigoloth will not shame us again."

Smirking, his tone arrogant, Lord Deathchord Daedalion y'Kaliath, the Prince of
Mourning says to Grigoloth, "Breaking you will be the most exciting thing I've
done all day."

As a distorted twist forms on his scarlet lips, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee
says to Daedalion, "You have wished for this for some time, without Mother's
interference. Do make it a good one, I will not give you the oppurtunity like
this again."

Indignant, Deathstinger Tau y'Kaliath, Overseer of Blood mumbles, "Suc. ...alty.
...h failure."

Lifting a hand to rummage through his backpack, Lord Deathchord Daedalion
y'Kaliath, the Prince of Mourning says to Grigoloth, "My opportunities are
limitless, fool. You on the other hand.. can be easily replaced with something
less.. disappointing?"

On his knees, grinning at her, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria,
"Join in, Mother?"

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Daedalion, "As you see fit, Father."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee lowers his head towards the floor, the blood from
Kiriwe's wound forming a pool below his face.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance looks away, her jaw set in unrivaled
control.

Lord Deathchord Daedalion y'Kaliath, the Prince of Mourning pulls out a long
strap of leather from his backpack, eyeing it with a small smile. Slowly, he
turns it in his hands and waves it about as if testing for sturdiness. Turning
his gaze back to Grigoloth, he smiles and says "This is a day you won't forget..
This is the day you failed our family." Turning his head upwards, he stares
about as if searching.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee traces his finger along the blood stains on his
floor, forming the word 'FAIN'

Somaria narrows her eyes to thin slits.

Deathstinger Tau y'Kaliath, Overseer of Blood stares blankly at your form,
apparently ignoring Somaria, and everyone else for that matter, completely,
stooping down to examine her.

Whispering to himself, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says, "Give me the
strength to endure, Fain."

Lord Deathchord Daedalion y'Kaliath, the Prince of Mourning taps his foot with
mild impatience, staring at the door expectantly.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance steps forward as she spots the word,
sliding her foot through the blood and staring down at Grigoloth, leaning lower
to whisper.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee turns his head slightly from Somaria, expecting
the worse.

Almost inaudibly, Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance whispers to
Grigoloth, "Feel the rage.. the hatred.. Begging for aide and strength will get
you no where, fool.."

Daedalion jerks slightly as the air fills with sparkling motes of bright light.

The door to the west slams shut.
Among the sparkling motes of light, a translucent figure appears in the air and
then quickly solidifies as Mihewi comes into view.

Servant Mihewi y'Kaliath, The Dark Swamp Confectioner murmurs to Daedalion, "I
can't exactly waltz through locked doors. I'm not a ghost."

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance purrs to Grigoloth, "Relish in this
pain and remember it well."

Taking a few steps towards her, Lord Deathchord Daedalion y'Kaliath, the Prince
of Mourning asks Mihewi, "You're angry.. you want revenge for your daughter? Am
I correct?"

Grinning sheepishly, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "I shall,
Mother."

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance straightens, turning to step back
towards the wall, bloody footprints trailing behind her as she mutters, "And
you'll be cleaning this mess up."

Servant Mihewi y'Kaliath, The Dark Swamp Confectioner casts her gaze over the
room, her eyes landing on Kiriwe for a moment.

Servant Mihewi y'Kaliath, The Dark Swamp Confectioner forces herself to swallow,
her eyes quickly finding Grigoloth immediately after she sees her daughter.

Icily, Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance says to Mihewi, "I told you I
would take care of this disgusting display."

Father/Son Bonding

There isn't much to say to describe this little part. Just Daedalion and Grigoloth faking getting along to fool Somaria.

QUOTE
Stepping closer, you ask Somaria, "Are you alright, mine?"

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance says, "The child will regret striking at me."

Somaria narrows her eyes to thin slits.

Grigoloth arrives from the east.

You look skeptical and say to Somaria, "I'm sure she didn't mean it, dear."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee lowers his head, nodding.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance says, "Kiriwe still knows better."

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance asks Grigoloth, "How are you, dear?"

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "I am very well Mother, and yourself?"

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee nods almost automatically, a strange look to him.

(Som goes afk, forcing us to talk to eachother)

With a half-grin, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Your looking fit today, Father."

Staring coldly, you say to Grigoloth, "I'm always fit, child.. You look.. half dead as usual."

Somaria blinks.

Smiling, Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance exclaims, "I want you two to bond!"

Speaking in his monotone voice, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "We are Mother. Look at us now."

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance shrugs lightly, watching you both intently.

Daedalion rolls his eyes, head turning to the side with a sniff.

Speaking in broken speech with larges gapes between the words, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "You are a great man, Father. Thank you for everything and please keep up the good work. You please me."

Flattly, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "That was bonding, right Mother?"

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Now you bond with me, Father."

With a hint of sarcasitc amusment, you say to Grigoloth, "You arn't an idiot at all, Child. In fact I enjoy your presence more than I enjoy ice cream. You are by far the best child I have. You please me as well."

Shifting his eyes towards Somaria to see her expression, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Yes. You are not a fool. You are really wise. I am not sure why they haven't made you a God yet, but they should because of your non-existant short temper. Please Father, you are great. Keep it up."

Somaria peers about herself unscrupulously.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance says, "Keep going."

Nodding slowly, you say to Grigoloth, "And I can't tell you how much I enjoy your Mother complex. It's thoroughly a priceless moment watching you cling to my wife's dress seam like a baby. Your existance isn't a complete and utter disappointment to the entire Viscanti race. Actually, I love you so much I feel like stuffing your corpse and mounting it above the bookcase. Thank you for tireless work and unblemished servitude to our family. Please never stop."

Walking towards him awkwardly and placing his hand on his shoulder, patting it with a flat hand, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Oh yes, Oh yes. You are full of kind words, Father. Thank you, I shall treasure them forever."

Turning his head around, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "How is this, Mother?"

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "I seem to feel more bonded to you now, Father. Would you agree?"

Lifting a hand to his face, patting roughly at his cheek, you say to Grigoloth, "You are the treasure, my son. I wouldn't even sell you for a whole 100 gold. Yes.. we are quite bonded now arn't we? I'm glad we did this."

Grigoloth whispers something quietly to you.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance exclaims, "More!"

Grigoloth tells you, "Perhaps, if we hug we can get out of this and go back hating ourselves. Agreed?"

Daedalion gains a thoughful expression, giving a short nod in Grigoloth's direction.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee holds out his arms like a zombie towards you.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance bounces slightly, appearing to eat up the entire conversation as if the two of you actually mean't it. She leans closer to you, placing a soft kiss upon your cheek.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Please, give me a hug Father so I may treasure this moment for the rest of my life. Oh yes, Oh yes."

Daedalion grimaces faintly, stepping closer to Grigoloth with arms outstretched. Awkwardly he places his arms around him, giving him a short emotionless hug.

With a continuing hint of sarcasim, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "This moment is just too much. I feel so emotional and vulnerable right now. What about you, Father? How do you feel right now?"

Grigoloth whispers something quietly to you.

Grigoloth tells you, "Good job, Father. I think she bought it."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee steps back from you, whiping the non-existant tear from his eye.

Pouting delicately, Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance exclaims, "Don't cry. I knew you'd make up eventually!"

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "I never thought we would, but look at us now, huh? What a suprise. Oh yes, Oh yes."

Daedalion slowly raises a hand to his face, covering half of it with his hand. He sniffles in an overly fake way, murmuring "I-I don't know how much more I can take.. This is a dream come true."

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance peers up at Grigoloth from her seat upon the couch, a skeptical gleam in her eyes, the sarcasm finally beginning to hit her.

Hands cupped over his face, fingers spaced just enough to see her recent reaction, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "Family hug!"

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee quickly grabs Somaria by the arm before she can say anything.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee grabs you by his arm, throwing both of them towards his body.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says, "A dream come true! A dream come true!"

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance blinks, awkwardly rising to be crushed against her son and husband.

Daedalion blinks slowly, nodding his head in an overly enthusiastic way. He wraps his arms around the both of you, hugging tightly.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance squeaks slightly in discomfort, closing her eyes tightly as she squirms in an effort to get away.

Releasing his grip from both, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "Thank you, Mother. I will never forget this moment. Oh yes, Oh yes."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Thank you Father, you have made this young Viscanti boy's dream come true."

Abruptly, Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance screams, "ENOUGH!"

Daedalion coughs softly, lifting a hand to his throat as he attempts to breathe.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee jumps back like a startled infant.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance suddenly shoves herself away from the both of you, falling back against the couch clumsily.

Angrily, Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance snarls, "Whatever issue you have with eachother will be resolved eventually."

Flatly, Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance says, "And I care not to be in the middle of that resolution if this was any indication of what genuine looks like."

Lowering his head shamefully, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "Yes, Mother."

"Meh," you say nonchalantly.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance slumps slightly, peering out through her long bangs at both of you as she lifts a hand to smooth her hair vainly.

Lifting his eyes thoughtfully, you say to Somaria, "At least I touched him without gagging, dear. It's a start."

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance remarks, "And no more family hugs."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to Somaria, "That bonding thing you speak of Mother, really takes much out of a man."

Grigoloth sits down.

Lady Somaria y'Kaliath, of Sinful Radiance says to you, "Yes, it's a start."

Silence's Vengeance - After meeting briefly with Lekius and revealing to him a long, lost letter of devotion, thereby earning his aide (Because she honestly wants into Serenwilde for quite innocent reasons), Somaria is escorted by her son back to her study, where she begins to try and apply the situation to a lesson which may aide him in Fain's order. Little does she know that there is a Being watching her.. and quite angry at that.

QUOTE
Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Are we going to write a letter or
something, Mother?"

The air seems to grow perfectly still before moving forward in a faint breeze.

An elegant study.
Small and quiet, this room evokes a feeling of security from prying eyes. Papers
and posters of both well known and unknown politicians line the west wall, some
covered by scribbles and notes which would only be comprehensible to the
original author. The eastern wall of the room hosts a huge world map divided
into several colored zones denoting the influence of the various nations. In one
corner, upon a stand reminiscent of an artist's easel, is a small chalkboard
whose surface is overtaken with mathematical equations. The desk that is the
centerpiece of the study is laden with thick stacks of parchment and ledgers
that appear to be related to commodity pricing and other economic issues.
Perched upon the desk's highest point is a globe of light like those in the
library, though on a small stand rather than a chain, its pale light casting
eerie shadows from the furniture. An elegant ravenwood chair stands here
invitingly, its plush cushion sparkling with argent embroidery. A highly
polished ravenwood desk sits here. Resting here relatively unnoticed is a chest
of dark wood. Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee is here. He wields an ancestral
klangaxe with both hands.

You have emoted: Somaria lowers her gaze to the desk with a slight frown.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "What's wrong?"

Lifting the letter and ignoring the change in the air, you say, "No. This is a
lesson for you."

Before moving to sit, you give a magically-preserved letter to Trooper
Grigoloth, Ops Trainee.

You sit yourself down on an elegant ravenwood chair and make yourself
comfortable.

A faint voice murmurs in your ear, "She rejected you completely."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "I shall listen, Mother."

You have emoted: Somaria watches her son with what could be restraint, her hands
gripping the arms of her chair roughly.

The air shifts around you as a voice murmurs in the other ear, "Quite
completely, in fact..."

You have emoted: Somaria digs her nails into the wood, distractly looking back
towards the desk.

Resting a gentle hand on your shoulder, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to
you, "What shall I learn today?"

The air swirls about you tauntingly, "She calls you no mother of hers."

Slowly attempting to put herself back on track, you say, "The change in your
pieces."

Smiling to himself, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Oh yes, I
remember this."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee rubs your shoulder lovingly, observing the top of
the desk.

Continuing, her eyes closing tightly, her voice tighening with pain, you say,
"My second husband. That was him. I left him long ago due to his failures."

An icy finger trails along your cheek as a voice whispers, "And she told Me of
some things that even I did not know."

Peering worriedly, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Are you hurt,
Mother?"

Turning her head sharply as if to fight off some unwanted touch, you say to
Grigoloth, "No.. Continuing.. He has grown.. Champion of his guild.. He has
progressed."

Taking a step back, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Mother, please.
You are worrying me."

A chilled hand cups your cheek in mock affection as a soft voice whispers,
"Things that leave Me rather... disappointed."

Narrowing her eyes, you say, "Show yourself."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Who, Mother?"

Icily, you say to Grigoloth, "Silence."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee nods politely.

A sharp and sudden pain radiates from your back, as if a blade has been dug into
your flesh, "It seems... you had lied to Me from the start."

You have emoted: Somaria screams, her eyes widened with fear and pain as her
chest archs forward sharply.

You exclaim, "I knew not what I was doing!"

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee stands silent with wide eyes.

The pain digs deeper as an icy voice whispers, "But little one... You lied to Me
from the start."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee's eyes search through the room.

Pleadingly, you wail, "I told You of His mark. I TOLD YOU! It forces.." She
suddenly screams again, beginning to sob. "It made me!"

Grabbing you around the chest with his arms, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says
to you, "Mother, your scaring me!"

You have emoted: Somaria gazes carefully upon Grigoloth, her eyes holding a
horrible mixture of panic and fear as she struggles almost violently.

The pain suddenly leaves you an icy numbness seeps into your limbs, "It made you
offer up fake venerations?"

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee holds you tighter, trying to calm your violent
twitches.

Whispering into your ear, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Shhhh...
Shhhhhh..."

Leaning back against her chair limply, you whisper, "It dri.. It made me.. I
wanted to.. I didn't want to.."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee touches at his nose as blood sprays heavily from
it.

Holding her tightly, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "What is going
on here!"

The pain threatens to flare once more as the voice whispers soothingly, "Can you
not find your words, child?"

You scream, "A.. A PART OF ME WANTED TO.. I WANTED TO.. I DIDN'T.. I DIDN'T WANT
TO.!"

Sobbingly, you plead, "Forgive me.."

You plead, "Father.."

A frigid hand brushes your hair calmingly as a voice whispers, "You must forget
what I told you. F'ai glomdoring, little one."

Staring at the blood spewed and smeared from all angles, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops
Trainee says to you, "I do not like this, Mother. Make them go away, make them
all go away!"

A brief burst of pain explodes in your thoughts as the voice murmurs, "Perhaps I
will start with him... He may come to feel for you just as she does after I am
finished. We shall just have to see, My little one."

The presence suddenly lifts from you, leaving your thoughts disoriented and your
body weak.

Confused and emotionally scarred, you plead, "I don't understand.. No.. NO!"

You have emoted: Somaria shakily lifts a hand to Grigoloth, sobbing out her
words brokenly. "Don't.. Don't leave me.."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee shakes his mother by the shoulders, staring deep
into her lifeless eyes.

Quietly, you whisper, "Sadhyra... Sadhyra did this..."

You wail, "Sadhyra told Him I betrayed Him.. I didn't want to.. I didn't!"

Whiping the blood from his nose, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "I
will get help."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee tugs at the door, twisting the handle as the
blood smears upon the knob.

The image of your son walking onwards and suddenly bursting into flames flashes
before your eyes.

You scream, "NO!"

You see Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee yell, "Someone, help!!!!"

You have emoted: Somaria stands shakily, falling to the floor before her son and
clinging to his leg.

You wail, "Don't go."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee collapses on top of his Mother, as if to shield
her from something.

You wail, "I didn't want to.. I didn't.. She did it.. She did it.."

You have emoted: Somaria trembles beneath her son, crying softly in her despair.

Panicking, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "I'll be back Mother!"

As horrible thoughts fill your mind, you begin to sob uncontrollably.

Grigoloth opens the walnut door to the southeast.
Grigoloth leaves to the southeast.

You have emoted: Somaria crawls beneath her desk weakly, continuing to cry
softly.

The door to the southeast slams shut.
Grigoloth arrives from the southeast.

You have emoted: Somaria peers up at Grigoloth from beneath her desk, sniffling
softly.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee rushes to your side, leaning against your
shoulder.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "I tried to get a hold of Mihewi,
but she ignored my calls."

You have emoted: Somaria lifts her hands to her face, sobbing more violently.

You wail, "I didn't want to.."

Running his fleshy fingers through your hair, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee
says to you, "What....What happened?"

You have emoted: Somaria shakes her head quickly, obviously in no shape to try
and explain.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Let me take you to your bed
chambers. You need sleep Mother......you are not yourself....."

You have emoted: Somaria clings to one of the legs of her desk, wailing a sharp,
"NO!"

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Yes, Mother. We need to get you out
of this room into bed."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "You are.....not of right thought."

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee puts his hands on your hand gripping the table,
trying to pry your fingers loose.

You have emoted: Somaria looks up towards you slowly, nodding very carefully
before releasing the table and allowing you to help her rise.

Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee sweeps you off your feet with a gentle grace,
pulling you closely to his chest.

Whispering, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "Shhh.... Everything
will be fine."

Lowering you onto your bed, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you,
"Mother......"

Deliriously, you whisper to Grigoloth, "Don't do the ritual.. Don't.. Visions..
No visions.. Don't.."

Nodding slowly, Trooper Grigoloth, Ops Trainee says to you, "I will tuck you in
Mother. You need rest."

Lifting a hand weakly, you whisper, "Don't do it!"

Nodding his head again with no understanding of your words, Trooper Grigoloth,
Ops Trainee says to you, "Yes Mother, of course I won't do it. Anyways, you will
rest. Beckon me when you have woken so I can evalute your health. If it hasn't
improved, we will take the needed steps on getting you better."

Your exhausted mind can stay awake no longer, and you fall into a deep sleep.

Oooh, Nocht has a deliciously evil side to him.

Thought about it.. and even talked to people about getting unenemied. The fact is, though, that it wouldn't work. The RP is appealing, but Serenwilde or Mag is just.. easier.

Just for clarification, the lead-up to Somaria's little visit from the mystery God.

=====================================

You reach out and gently brush your hand against a delicate veil of shadows. Your senses suddenly dull as you feel yourself pulled into the entrancing darkness. As your senses return, you find yourself beneath a beautiful night sky.
The Fulcrux of Nocht.
A complex series of stones orbit around a stygian orb here. A rippling image of a beautiful night sky has been magically wrapped around the fulcrux here.
You see a single exit leading through an image of the night sky.

You have emoted: Sadhyra slumps slowly to a seat before the shrine, frowning thoughtfully as she stares at the image before her.

The boughs of the large blackthorn moan loudly as they shake, sending a new shower of petals cascading across the fulcrux.

You have emoted: Sadhyra blinks suddenly, starting as the blacktalon branches shake.

You whisper, "Hello?"

Nocht appears out of thin air.

You blink.

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Yes?"

He is a radiant immortal and alternately imposing and unassuming as He lingers in the shadows, bringing the fabric of darkness to life with His very presence. The stark ebony of His skin is unblemished and smooth, from the aristocratic contours of His face to the slender, musician's hands. Slender, pointed ears poke out from the long white hair that spills down His back which is surrounded with an effervescent glimmer like starlight. The only colour in His stoic countenance, His eyes are a clear, ethereal blue, each pupil rimmed in a golden starburst which makes His silent, thoughtful gaze appear to pierce to the very soul. He is wearing a cloak woven from pure shadow, a symbol of the Night, and divine garments of black silk.

Unconsciously shrinking back, you say, "I didn't...expect a response."

Leaning in closer, Nocht, the Silent whispers, "So you have nothing to say, little one?"

You have emoted: Sadhyra exhales slowly, glancing down at the ground before her. "I wanted to thank You," she mumbles, somewhat lamely. "For the favour."

Comprehension flashes across Nocht's face.

You have emoted: Sadhyra dares a glance up at you, quietly replying, "Beyond that..."

You chew on your lip thoughtfully.

Nocht raises an eyebrow questioningly.

You say, "You are the Lord of Silence."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "So they say."

With the faintest hint of a smile, you say, "And so I have heard."

Nocht tilts His head and listens intently.

Glancing away again, you say, "You listen much, for one who celebrates the unspoken."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "One learns to listen carefully in the Void."

Carefully, you say, "I am not the most quiet."

You say, "I...wish to learn, though."

The ghost of a smile passes fleetingly across Nocht's lips.

With a faint smirk, Nocht, the Silent whispers, "You are like your mother in that respect."

Frowning, you say, "I am not like her at all."

The image of the night sky grows terrifyingly dark as an icy breeze cuts across the lonely hill, spiralling patterns dancing across the tall grass.

Staring down at you, Nocht, the Silent whispers, "You are not?"

You have emoted: Sadhyra shrinks back, shaking her head. Faintly, she mumbles, "I disowned her. I have no link to her."

Leaning down to whisper in your ear, Nocht, the Silent whispers, "No matter how much you wish it was not so, she is your mother."

Quietly, you say, "This was a stupid idea."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Ahh. Now there... the perfect image of your mother now."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "You are that quick to give in?"

Nocht tilts His head curiously.

You have emoted: Sadhyra lets out a low hiss, shaking her head as she draws away. "NO," she says, her voice loud, shattering the still of the chamber.

With a giddy laugh, you say, "You never knew her. Not really."

Daring to glance back at You again, you say, "She wrote You a poem once, didn't she?"

A dull pain blossoms in the back of your head as Nocht stares at you quietly.

You wince in pain.

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Aye."

Through gritted teeth, you say, "She designed You a torque once, as well, didn't she?"

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Attempted to."

Flatly, you say, "Convenient that her talents blossomed when she found a new daughter, eh?"

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "You wish to claim credit for something, little one?"

You say, "She merely cared for power, and would take any route there." Closing her eyes and slowly exhaling, the woman says, "I don't care about the credit. My point is that I am not her.""

You say, "I work for the art and the results, not the prestige."

The ghost of a smile passes fleetingly across Nocht's lips.

You crease your brow in a frown.

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "What is it you want from Me then?"

Quietly, you say, "This is...not how I imagined this going."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "No?"

You say, "I did not think myself so marked by my parents, still."

Her tone almost challenging, you say, "I've worked hard enough for the guild and commune to have proven myself, as an individual."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "I did not claim you weren't, did I?"

You have emoted: Sadhyra frowns, recoiling with a clatter of carapace. "I'm sorry," she mumbles, "That was out of line." She twitches one antenna, as if agitated, before saying, simply, "I wish to be more than I am."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Which is entirely possible, and is what I enjoy about mortals. So why is it you are speaking to Me?"

You say, "The Divine can help the mortals achieve that?"

You say, "This is what I am told."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "If the mortal is not an idiot. Aye."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Of course, the divine must not be an idiot either."

Stiffly, you say, "I am not an idiot. You are not an idiot."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Did you plan on asking a question, little one? Or stating things?"

You chew on your lip thoughtfully.

With a thoughtful frown, you say, "How could I worship You?"

You say, "I'd like to do that - not as my mother did, mind. Better, stronger, cleaner."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "I could allow you within my outer circle now, if you believe you are capable of serving."

You say, "What does serving require?"

You say, "I am still weak."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Within the outer circle, it requires only learning and demonstrating your growth."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "But such details are for My sages."

You nod your head slowly in understanding.

You say, "I can do as much."

Tracing an icy finger along your cheek, Nocht, the Silent whispers, "I trust I have no reason for concern about a repeat of your mother's service?"

You have emoted: Sadhyra shivers slightly, shaking her head a slight fraction. "My first love is the Glomdoring, Lord," she whispers. "My own husband knows this."

Nocht, the Silent whispers, "I will hold you to that, little one."

Nocht baptises you into the Childryn of Shadow of the Divine Order of Nocht, the Silent.

(Childryn of Shadow): Nocht says, "Welcome, little one."

The surrounding shadows wane, falling back in despondent melancholy as the form of Nocht, the Silent dissolves into wisps of shadow.

You have emoted: Sadhyra bows her head, her eyes closing.
