Recoiling as the wave of cold washes over him, the Shaman shifts out of the hallway, uttering a chant as he goes.

A circle of fire suddenly erupts from the goblin, surging outward and scorching both Tsuujin and Ralzik. Kuro and Zorga, however, manage to evade the wave of heat.

((You guys were all standing in a group. You ran forward to attack the Shaman, Ytraelux moved back towards the stairs, and Zahar ducked back into hiding by the north wall. Then the Shaman moved forward. So, basically, they didn't move, but everyone else did, leaving Kuro right next to the Shaman.))

((Ooh, that's what you meant. It's a Burst spell. Being behind someone gives you only partial cover (so a -2 to the shamans attack roll), which let Zorga squeak by, but Shaman still beat Tsuujin's Reflex.))

Tsuujin darts south away from the shaman, and then sprints north to come up directly south of him (careful not to expose himself to unnecessary harm).

The fighter attempts to make a decisive strike to the shaman's knee... and fails.

((Gah.. its HUGE burst spell... level 3 you say? I didn't know bursts could go so far heh. Thank you for explaining it, I completely missunderstood what happened))

((Burst 3, yup. However all 3 of his spells are recharge. So, every turn, for each spell he's used, I roll a 1d6. On a 5 or 6, the spell recharges. 1-4, he can't use it again.))

Remaining in his place near the rear of the hall, Aesamar calls to the combatants. "He has done nothing to you! I refuse to participate in killing a goblin simply because he is there."
