Focusing on the Goblin Hexer, the group of heroes only hears a scream of pain as the last cutter leaps into the twenty-foot deep well, attempting to put out the flames that have engulfed him.

Meanwhile, the green-skinned magician has managed to resist any further bite from the arcane cloud that surrounds him, taking the chance to run away. Not about to let that happen, however, both Zorga and Ralzik take swings at the fleeing hexer. The rogue's attack strikes home, slicing across the goblin's throat and sending a spray of blood out into the air.

The hexer hits the ground, dead, his blood freezing as it leaves his veins.

((C1 triggers Flaming Sphere. C1 is dead.
H triggers Freezing Cloud. Freezing Cloud Misses. 3 damage.
H moves to K9. Draws OAs from Zorga and Ralzik. Ralzik misses. Zorga hits for 8 damage.
H is dead.))

((Ytraelux, I slightly changed your moves, and here's why--First, the term "creature" refers to everyone, including you and any of the other players. If it says "enemies", you'd be safe, but if it says "creatures", you're all vulnerable. Because of this, you don't want to stand next to your Flaming Sphere, so I had to move to a slightly different position.

On top of that, your Freezing Cloud is an Area Burst. Burst shoots out X number of squares in all directions, where as the Blast of your last attack was just X squares in one direction. That means you'd want to position it slightly differently since it targets creatures and could potentially hit Bali and Dag with it's 5x5 square area.

I figured adjusting the moves myself and then explaining would help everyone learn but keep us from wasting tooo much time on it. Hope that's ok!))

(( soo... battles over? What happens next? ))

((Yes, battle's over. Now.. whatever you want! tongue.gif

Post, react, deal with what's going on. Role-play!

Just don't speed along too fast without me laugh.gif cause I have to control the NPCs, after all))

Muttering a quick, "Happy to work with you" to the various heroes around him, Ralzik quickly searches the body of the goblin hexer, and then moves on to any other bodies that might have some valuables on it, with a strange glint in his eye.
Unknown2009-03-08 03:53:44
Ralzik, searching the chilled body of the hexer, finds a small piece of parchment with foreign writing--one can only assume, given where it came from, that the language is goblin.

The rest of the bodies having nothing on them but that which they used to assault the town with--leather armor, short swords, javelins, and spears.
Daganev2009-03-08 03:55:44
((is goblin the same language as deeptongue or whatever it is I have as my language?))
Ralzik takes the note a couple shortswords, and begins to head over to the knive store to see if he can sell the crude weapons.

((Nope. Goblin is its own language. You'll have to find someone to read it.))

Ralzik finds the door to Starra's Knives solidly locked and the windows shuttered. There's not a single sound of life inside.

Tsuujin sheathes his weapons and stands where he is, by himself, pondering at the strange dagger.
Unknown2009-03-08 04:15:12
With the sounds of battle having faded away, Tsuujin hears movement inside the Curiosity shop from which the odd horn was stolen.

Hearing noises from within the shop puts Tsuujin on guard. Storing the dagger safely in his pack he draws his weapons and very carefully take a glance into the shop.

Tsuujin seems nothing but darkness but darkness for a moment, but that soon gives way to a flash of white as a bearded dwarf's head pops up from behind the glass-covered display.

"Is it clear?" Garwan whispers nervously.

"Is it clear?" Garwan whispers nervously.

Tsuujin says to the Dwarf, "Aye, it is clear. The goblins are naught but flesh now. Not that they were ever much more. Are you all right?"
Daganev2009-03-08 04:29:51
Ralzik turns to the curiosity shop, and starts to walk over there. As he walks he shouts forward "Can you read Goblin scratch?"
Unknown2009-03-08 04:42:27
Rolling her eyes at the rude warlock and warrior who seemed to have wandered off, Zorga looks over the other dragonborn and eladrin.

You two alright? You're looking pretty beat up, Wizard. Nice fireballs though. What're you doing here? Me? I'm just looking for opportunities, if you catch my drift. But then out of nowhere goblins come scurrying up in my business! How rude, eh!?

Zorga kicks one of the goblin corpses playfully.

And you!

Pulling the other dragonborn in close, she rests an arm around her shoulder.

You were great, you were. Whats your name, sister?
Unknown2009-03-08 04:43:43
The dwarf inside the shop jumps slightly at the sudden shout.

"Gah," he stammers, "what in the Plaguechanged hells?" Shaking his head, Garwan decides it's safe to re-light his massive pipe. He takes a long puff and tries to calm down, momentarily ignoring the warlock.

"I'm alright," he says to Tsuujin, "thank ye, Lad." The dwarf offers the fighter a friendly smile, though it quickly turns into a frown as he takes the moment to survey the damage. "I should of known better," he said, "that they'd come after it. Bah. Damn wizard." Garwan took another long puff at his pipe.
Daganev2009-03-08 05:04:30
Ralzik looks at the dwarf with curiosity, and stands there as if listening to a storyteller at a bonfire.
Isuka2009-03-08 05:12:19
Tsuujin sheathes his weapons once again and reaches into his pack, retrieving the strange dagger.

"I assume you're referring to this? Goblin seemed pretty excited by it... of course, so do I when I hold it. 'The hell is it, and why would goblins sprint to their deaths for it?"
Gaetele2009-03-08 06:57:59
Kuro shrugged. "Since when have goblins needed a reason to sprint to their deaths at anything?"

Turning to the other dragonborn, she replied, "By the way, the name's Kuro. And yours?"
Unknown2009-03-08 09:07:07
Zorga.

The Magnificent.

((Thanks for sorting that out for me, Saw. I'll bear it in mind next time.))

Aesamar makes his way back towards the curiosity shop, addressing the group that has gathered there as he does so.

"What was it the goblin took from the display? Some form of enchanted artefact? What could they possibly want with it? Oh, and," he turns towards the githyanki. "Did you mention needing to read in the tongue of the Goblins? I don't, my self, but if this shopkeeper deals in components that might be used for rituals, then I could learn to..." he remarks, reaching towards his coin-pouch.

((If I can buy them here, I'll spend 10gp on the components necessary for the Comprehend Language ritual.))
Unknown2009-03-08 10:50:56
(( So what, you dont even address me when I'm talking to you? How am I supposed to respond to that? ))
