What are the stats I should forge for, and I won't be making a runed axe yet, I'll bother everyone again for that later. Also, what about armour and the great helm, assuming I'll be making it masterarmour.

If you want to make it quick and brief..

150/238/280 on a Klangaxe. It's high-damage, below-average to average precis, and high speed. A good hunting/PK weapon. Honestly, there's not much purpose to forging anything else right now.

EDIT: Oh. Masterarmour should be 90+/90+, as should helm. Though, some settle for less on the helm since it'll just decay eventually.

My helm doesn't decay. But that's because I'm awesome.

No, no I don't.

I still like the same axe I used. Runed or unruned. Stats are nothing like Tael's in the damage/precision department and I aimed for an axe that would get me to just about heavy wounds in one sweep and strike/cleave on masterplate.
Tyamit2009-03-03 14:43:18
I'm using a 96/401/235 unruned klang right now and it works just fine for PK/hunting.
Tael2009-03-03 14:49:43
Bash weapons are what PK'ers are using right now, and they're effective. Very effective. My stats above are what I have on the bash rapiers I'm going for right now, and others have used similar stats to good success. Trust me when I say those are the stats you should go for if you PLAN to rune. Otherwise go for higher.

For a wounding Klangaxe, I'd do either: 66/418/240 or 66/429/235 or 66/308/280. As far as a damage axe (which are pretty useless these days): 360/x/180

EDIT: Bash/PK Rapier stats are: 75/108/280

EDIT2: 66 is a difficult damage stat to get, so.. have fun forging for those. I managed to get a pair of hammers that were 33/195/235. Which is what I currently use.

I disagree with all of your statements for a wounding klangaxe! Especially 66/308/280. Why does the weapon have to be this horrible and so far below the mark to attach weaponrunes? Casi is starting out unruned and could definitely do with a weapon with more stats and temper them down when she can afford to rune them. Why would you want to start below the required stats?!

Well. Those are the stats she should get if she is going to eventually rune, and what she'll have to temper to. I don't bother with the stats of what you could possibly get otherwise. There's too many variables and many things could work. Those are just the stats I recommend if she's going to rune.

Besides, I have no issue with the 33/195/235 hammers.

But after months of forging, what do I know? tongue.gif

These stats are far below what she'll have to temper to.

EDIT: 66/308/280

She could up the precision a little bit more, but that's about it. Precision doesn't amount to anything these days anyway. It's about damage and speed.

Low Precision is mitigated by strength. High strength has a far better impact on your wounding than Precision.

You are allowed to rune weapons with a combined stat of 463 (after calculations for two handers). You are asking her to rune a weapon at 453 stats.

I made a miscalc. And even if I wasn't, a few precision points isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference anyway. See above.
Vathael2009-03-03 16:31:55
some of you are a tad confused on weapon stats. by definition bashers are high speed weapons mine however are high stats all around for the speed. 90/180/320 with elementals for the extra damage.

That you obviously don't have enough time to forge. I am literally fine with waiting months.
