I have my doubts that if talk comes to action (and Shaddus and Nariah already said they seriously doubted it would) that the Admin will allow customers to be ousted based on their benign IC relationship to an organization enemy (if that's all it is).

The Admin won't do anything about it, because it's IC. There's nothing against any sort of rules that says a person can't take that sort of action.

Screwed up? Yes. Within someone's rights? Yes.

No... she specifically said Somaria wont, not the player behind Somaria. There is a difference

I might be severely out of the loop, but isn't it Glomdoring that was wronged, not Somaria? >_>

from what I've seen, Somaria's personal interpretation of events tends to be different from what actually happens

Glomdoring (Whom Somaria will never forgive)...

The False Memory is stong in this one.

The y'Kaliath only recruit the most talented, despite all the BS bad names we get.

That's bull, because back when you were in Glomdoring, you were pulling any novice you could out of the Portal and trying to convince it that you were it's mother tongue.gif

All in all,

I hope things work out for you, Grig.

There is quite a difference.

Somaria was insane when it happened. Coupled with the zero tolerance, which was a select few characters, some who were more irritating to her condition than others, she responded as fit her character profile at the time. irrationally.

Like I said, she was quite insane. She feels she was pushed into the actions, and it wasn't something I, as a player, thought out enough to realize what damage would be done. She will not forgive Glomdoring for the wrongs she feels were done to her.

And as for the recruits, back then, for Somaria, there were three different types of Novices.
  1. The useful, talented roleplayer/combatant, who recieved lots and lots and lots of special attention to keep them anchored in her zoo. See the family tree, they are all there.
  2. The useless noob, no potential, who just happened to log in a lot and served as a vote when she pushed them into full membership of the Nekotai.
  3. Everything else. People who were already drawn into other cliques (It was rare to find those - part of why she snagged them up), people who were in and out (Again, snag them early, catch their attention, if they leave - whatever - if not, hey, another vote or sheep to sacrifice when in the line of fire), and those who were too brain dead for even me to handle.
Groups one and two were who Somaria continued to poke at. Group one is the only group that could ever officially become y'Kaliath. The rest were told they could work to improve themselves, to become acceptable by her standards. Most tried. Some fell into group three or became wrapped in the snuggly groups.

This is simply how being an y'Kaliath is. She took on a 'Nothing matters but' complex. Everything an y'Kaliath does is bearing their name in mind. They may say that they don't care, but in the end, the family comes first. If you shame the family, and disappoint it's matron, well, you regret it. I remember Sadhyra being hunted down by Daedalion quite a bit. It's almost a 'Hive' mentality, or better yet for OOC reference, a mob.

Somaria may have weaved fantasies in nearly a hundred new hopefuls minds that believed her when she said she was possibly their mother, but the fact of the matter is, she would never, ever accept anyone who wasn't worth her time.

I'm a little less harsh about it, but in reality, I would never accept anyone, or support anyone's admission who couldn't muster up the will to at least attempt to rp on our level, which honestly, isn't the highest, but it's damn close for some of us. Daedalion's pretty bad ass. >.>

Somaria's insanity shouldn't be a question.. it was quite apparent to -anyone- who watched her actions or listend to what she said. The situation can and is viewed by different points IC, while Glomdoring was wronged there are lingering feelings on the other side as well.

Two might of been used more often then one. Three was maybe once.. We are extremely critical in the selection of our children, not everyone gets in while many may hope to attain entrance.

Through everything though I would have to agree, in the small selection of families that actually RP in Lusternia we are up there. Our family is highly Rp oriented especially now that Somaria and Daedalion don't have an organization, our time being spent elsewhere etc..

Also while I'm not certain how "bad ass" I am, my effort shows nonetheless. Though Somaria is definantly way better at it than I am. grin.gif

Daedalion is pretty badass. He is killing his mom one minute and hugs her the next. If that isn't badass, then I have no idea what I'm talking about.
