Human Knight

I have to admit here... I have a free incarnation and have been viscanti for a very long time for RP reasons. Those RP reasons are going down significantly due to in game family issues, and the xp bonus from human is getting more and more attractive as I try to level my knight up.

So, how do humans hold up in combat? I'm a necromancy user, so I'd be losing the Viscanti buffs for it (the strength is 19 after buffing, which is awesome, and the con is pretty good too), though I understand that after level 50 the stats go up for humans at some set rate.

Furthermore: what exactly is the stat gain rate for humans? Am I going to find disappointment at level 71, where I currently am? Also, if I reincarnate, do they go up retroactively?

Finally: Is the xp bonus worth it? I can use bloodrage for a bonus twice a day, for one hour at a time if I start exactly at midnight as it is now, along with harmony and the facebook thing. I also plan to get the lowmagic xp boost ability at some point. So obviously I'm not suffering as it is, but an extra boost wouldn't hurt.

Thanks in advance!

Imo, assuming level 95+, human is one of the best warrior race.

I've been human for about a week, and I like it well enough. The XP gain is decent, and I don't completely suck at combat. My stats are decent, but I'm not going to do as much damage as I would, say, with igasho.

Viscanti is fine for a low level warrior really. Are you an archlich?

I wouldn't really say "low level" at 71, but that's beside the point. I do have archlich, which would boost the human abilities.

I suppose the real question is what the stat boost is for human. Am I going to see 13s across, rather than my awesome viscanti stats? Or is it worth it?

The boosts are according to Archetype. From what I'm told, a Demigod Warrior Human sees 20 or 21 str, maybe more?
Xavius2009-03-14 03:17:48
71 is pretty low level. Sorry.

The human stat boost is one point every five levels. The stats distribute according to your archetype, but that doesn't mean you're going to pop out with 16 base strength. You've probably got 14 str, 13 dex, 14 con, 12 int, 12 cha right now.

I would suggest actually bashing before going human. 80+

My stats increased fairly evenly, although I had a little more.. god help me, Charisma, than I would have liked. The only real downside is the speed, which really only is a problem if you're used to Aslaran.

I think 90+ is best for a human race or at least that's what level I went to it around and it was still manageable. Viscanti is still pretty nice but the low INT/CHA and sip penalty is kind of disappointing with it.

Higher mana/willpower would really be nice, given I can burn through it in no time with regen/boost/surge. I've been Viscanti for so long that I don't even know what it'd be like not to have a sip disadvantage.

I suppose when it comes down to it, I really just like the xp bonus to help compensate for my limited bashing time. I'd like to hit demi sometime within the next ten years.

Human's only worth changing to at 85+ as a warrior. Other guys say 90, but I think 85 is fine!

A level 71 human is terrible for stats. Okay if you don't plan to PK and just want to bash I guess.

Well, I'm a pureblade with no artifacts, so I'm not doing so well in PvP on general principle at the moment. So, despite the fact that I'm working hard to get my combat system up to specs, I don't think it'll make a massive impact on my sucking tongue.gif

It will help you get to 85+ too if you don't care about PK in the interim.
