There's a reason oppose rhymes with dispose!

Uwee, hee, hee!

EDIT: Yeah this is a good reason Jesters should never be -- I would necessarily be their GM.

You remind me of Kefka. You would lead the Magnagoran branch.

As much as I burn for the Illuminati... more guilds would probably obliterate Lusternia. They allowed players to freely found guilds in Imperian for 1 million gold (which is like 100 cr. now) and Admin approval (which wasn't very discriminate) and now you have about 5 with large numbers of people and around a couple dozen that are veritably empty.

I don't think you necessarily need more guilds or features to bring in new players, but to keep the old ones whose interest sometimes dwindles with time. Though I would put my money on Divine activity as the best way to do either. Of course I want to play the MUD with an event every other week, as long as it isn't...hectic (See The Blight, random zombie incursion, raging hordes, attack of the hopping poppies, and other novice-mowing occurrences.)

I'll trade you all of those for the plague.

It's a conflicting problem. On the one hand: the more types of guild we have, the higher the chance we peak a player's interest. On the other hand, the more guilds we have, the more playerbase is required to admin them. Catch-22, anyone?

Or you'll just wind up with a handful of guilds no one will join.

Cantors/Cacophony anyone? Please? We need love.

No no no, get Demigod in the Cacophony. Bashing is the only thing we do really well.

Yes, that was one very annoying event.
