Basically, I decided that I'm going from Blacktalon to Ebonguard. I'm currently looking at either going Bonecrusher or Axelord.

Would you guys be able to list some of the pros and cons to each, which would be good for what, etc?

Thanks.

In one you get two weapons, in another you get only one.

Intriguing.

Should listen to this guy, he's on the ball.

Um, well...I'll say this much. I hate fighting Axelords. Absolutely hate it. Between love potion and the 4 second stun, I am lucky to blanknote them.

On the receiving end, they play pretty similarly. Stun, stun, throw down a couple regen cures, mess up curing, clean up the goo.

I've never played a BC, but looking at the skill list compared to my experience, I can see a few differences. Heftyaxe is just universally better than weapon riposte. Same with execute compared to pulp. I know BC has shorter stuns than AL, but you've got more places to hit to get those stuns. The way you mess up curing is pretty different too: AL has the infamous slitlock, while BC has things like concussion and fractured skull.

Again, I've never played as a BC, but this would lead me to believe that AL would favor a patient, resilient fighter with some sheer nastiness that is subject to the whims of the RNG, whereas a BC would be more for the quick shock types.

Blademaster. Two swords is awesome. Two hammers is lame.

With two weapons you get two chances to hit but each does half the damage. The good thing about this is if one misses the other one has the chance of hitting.

I used to think that two hammers was lame, too. Then I started learning Arnis in Martial Arts. Two blunt weapons can be absolutely awesome.

BC has the good affs on the part where also their instakill is, so you'd naturally progress through the wounds to bashbrains. However, that's also a weakness because as BC, you really only have good stuff on legs and head, so you'll need to use crushes to get through that and keep the parry and stance down. AL has a nice array of afflictions on different places, but, eh. I don't know, they never seemed to synergize a lot for me, but I also didn't spend much time practicing.

As a BC, your best and pretty much only worthwhile wounds lie on the head, a few on the chest, and the legs. Knockdown is your best friend, along with trying to aim for Windpipe for pretty much all of the fight. The Pipelock is what you'll be aiming for a majority of the time (Windpipe + Senso). Sometimes you'll use Wind, BreakChest, BreakNose, and BlackEye but.. A majority of the offense is Knockdown and going for Windpipe. BC tends to be a very cookie-cutter, hence why I'm kind of bored with it.

AL is more interesting, imo. You have more options available to you. While Knockdown is going to still be your best friend like Bonecrusher, you'll have more interesting afflictions to work with on numerous parts of the body. Your lower level wounds are going to suck (except for RingingEar and maybe OpenGut). Axelord shines with the higher up wounds, which are fairly simple for an Axelord to get if it hits the same limb 2-3 times. As stated above, you can land a Slitlock with SlitThroat. You can also get affs like SeverSpine (Regen-cured Paralysis) and Kneecap. HeftyAxe is indeed better than Riposte, I've discovered. Riposte barely hits anything of worth. Axelord also has two-instakills available to it as well. Execute (which is very nice) and Behead.

However, BC is more suited for pinning down runners. If someone doesn't want to fight you or wants to elude you as an Axelord, they're probably going to succeed in doing so and cure all of their wounds and then come back and fight you or just run away in general. Mostly because Axelords will undoubtedly win a fight of attrition (see: Execute).

Another important aspect on top of damage and wound afflictions to consider is venoms. BC can hit with twice as many which lets you stack against curing more and give afflictions when you stun. Just a random bit to think about.

He's already axelord.
