do they not have real pizza places in austria or something?

Well, there's one pizza hut in all of austria. And there are like 20 pizzaplaces in every city, so going to pizza hut is like going to a really good restaurant.

Haven't had real pizza since I lived in Italy

Eh, I prefer Burger King to McDonalds, Culvers to Burger King.
KFC: The skin is the best part.
Pizza Hut: I love Pizza Hut. Thick crust pizza. I hate thin crust unless it's done like Pizza Hut does.
In general, I like to eat good foods, but it tends to slip my mind and whatever is handy. Of course, I also have a tendancy to chew on plastic caps from bottles and chew on them and eat a portion, but that's just an old habit.
Most Americans prefer to eat what tastes good, and sadly McDonalds is right there and people lose their sense of taste early in life. I can only eat McDonalds chicken nuggets and their french fries after an unforunate incident with one of their burgers (pocket of grease in the burger itself). Of course, the fact that it's in-out and you're on your way doesn't help matters. Culvers is much better as it's actual food and you wait a bit longer.

I live in Singapore. I eat good, cheap food every day.
Saaga2009-03-21 17:49:44
Finland does not have cheap food. Your McDonal's dollarmenu is like the 1,3 euro menu here. (I euro is roughly 1.3 dollars last I checked.)
And I don't like fast food either, except for pizzas. I was going to have a pizza today but SOMEONE ruined it on the way home.

Most people don't really like fast food. There are exceptions (like the Taco Bell quesadillas), but generally speaking, it's available, affordable, and can be consumed in ten minutes, which is basically required for lunch as a peon in corporate America.

I eat McDonalds 3 times a day. I like to get the burgers when they're dripping with fat, the fries are cold and clotted with grease, and the salads have bacon fat poured over the top.
Sometimes when I'm feeling randy, my wife and I rub Big Mac's all over our bodies and roll around in a pile of roving mutts, so they bite and nip at us, then we run home and make whoopie.
Just kidding. I do tend to eat McD's once every two weeks or so. Usually just few things off the Dollar Menu.

The sad thing is, I know you're not kidding .
As far as eating McDonald's goes, there's no benefit to eating it. Ever. Even once a month is too much!
I found that going and eating fast food regularly was more of a money waster than going to the store and buying chicken, steak, vegetables, etc and using that stock to make 2+ meals a week.
@Kiriwe: Dropping 50lbs while eating ramen and McDonald's doesn't mean you're healthy. I see plenty of skinny chicks who can't run a quarter of a mile without passing out.

Ohhh I don't know, for replenishing salts after a heavy night drinking I think McDoof is great. The only times I have been to McDoof in the last year were two mornings with horrible hangovers and once or twice to get their milkshake as a dessert.
I am currently eating mushroom soup (win) brown bread (win) with buttery spread (lose) and slices of wild boar sausages (win, because something so tasty could never be lose)
In a week my lunches vary between healthy (sushi and fruit) to horribly unhealthy (burger, chips and a beer)
When I joined a gym a few years ago, the trainer went through my diet and asked me how much cheese I would eat in a week. I wasn't sure so he said "ok out of a block of cheese like this *made size with his hands* how much would you eat?", "Ohh, I see", I said, "Well, four of those blocks." Needless to say my answer about my coffee consumption also didn't go down so well.

YOU'LL NEVER EVOLVE INTO MACHOKE IF YOU'RE A VEGETARIAN
(swish)
Kiradawea2009-03-21 22:10:08
I dunno. If you know what you're doing you can get by without eating red and white meat, but that's really the limit of it as well. Because to cut out absolutely all animal products (read: Veganism) is almost as bad for your health as smoking.
Anyway, personally I love to cook, so I rarely eat fast-food. It's faster to cook food yourself than drive to a nearby McD order food, eat and drive home.

The only fast food chain I really like is Qdoba. Oh dear God their burritos are so good. And they're quite fresh, too, or at the very least least the restaurant is quite good at maintaining the illusion that they're fresh.
Shaddus2009-03-21 23:34:48
I had Mcdonalds for dinner. Two double cheesburgers, plain and dry. Two McChickens, plain and dry add cheese. Water, chocolate dipped ice cream cone.
AND I'M LOVIN' IT!

While I was in Japan, their McD's had what they called an American Burger, with four patties.
Combine that with the fact that I lost...twelve pounds there in a week just from the sheer amount of walking and the amazing food, I've never willingly sought out fast food ever since, but I'll still eat it if that's what my parents bring home for dinner.

I haven't had fast food in months. Which is weird, because I love fast food.
