I thought it was not the person who puts the last vote on him dies, but a random townie dies?
Jack2009-03-22 06:20:07
No, no, it's the last person. Whoever is responsible for my death dies.

Idea: make whoever we want to lynch put the last vote on Jack. His CLAIM is that he has a power that won't help the town, but he could be lying. If he's lying, we kill a converted scum. If he's not lying, well, we still kill the other guy, who may also be scum, and haven't lost much in terms of the town.

Also this is so not workable, you think the person you're lynching is going to agree to that?
Unknown2009-03-22 06:27:04
We use a pooka, duh.
Unknown2009-03-22 06:27:16
JOKES.
Jack2009-03-22 06:28:02
And we all know what that means.

HE'S A WITCH

BURN THE TOGEPI

Well, if they're telling the truth and there's a possibility you're lying they have nothing to lose from it, right? And if they refuse we can just lynch them normally.
kiriwe2009-03-22 06:29:23
Why would a townie with a not-helpful power out themselves either? I mean, it was a kinda stupid move, IMHO.
my vote stays put.
Jack2009-03-22 06:31:25
Stupid, yes. Idiotic... yes.

Look yo, I claimed because there's nothing to gain by hiding it, and something to lose (if a townie kills me, they go boomy-bye-bye). Also I figured no one would be thick enough to go ahead and lynch me, granting me contractual immortality. SHOWS WHAT I KNOW
kiriwe2009-03-22 06:34:11
see, that's why you keep your mouth shut!

first game I played I claimed early and nobody believed me
second game I claimed early and people were still suspicious of me

moral of the story: don't claim unless you really, really have to
Jack2009-03-22 06:35:38
Moral of the story: don't be jittery and lynch people at the drop of a hat. Sometimes, a mad bomber is just a mad bomber.
kiriwe2009-03-22 06:35:41
also, right now you're our best target, because since there was no vanilla role pm, if we pressure anybody else, we learn nothng. With you, at least we'd have -something- to go on.
Unknown2009-03-22 06:36:14
I say, let's lynch Fania. She's such a joker.

unvote, vote Fania

Yeah, two town corpses, scumbag!

Vote Kiriwe

Solanis is jumping around with his votes an awful lot. I wouldn't be too surprised if he turned out to be the joker. Also voting for me with absolutely no information to go on? Well that's just silly.

I don't know if we should believe Jack. People who role claim with little or no pressure is always suspicious. It''s a little too easy saying that, "Oh yeah, you can't lynch me, because if you kill me you die." So of course no one will try to kill him, because of fear of death. I think he wins if the townies die. I'm not saying to lynch him, with the chance of him killing people that would be a little extreme at this point.

Right now I'm keeping my vote where it is, because I want to hear more from people.
Jack2009-03-22 06:51:28
There's only one way to find out if I'm telling the truth.

Go ahead! A bullet to the brain!
Fania2009-03-22 06:54:46
Yeah, no thanks. I had one last game too early. I basically had a big red target on my forehead.
Dugan2009-03-22 12:02:20
Hrm.

VOTE: JACK

He randomly role claimed a jester role when he had no reason to whatsoever. As I see it, we have three posibilities.

1. He is telling the truth and he's now a bomb.
2. He got changed into a mafia or an sk and he claimed a bomb role cause no one can investigate.
3. He is actually the Jester. Sent the mod of a message of 'no night action taken' ... and squeaks in on day one claiming to be the first one targetted. He did admit to being awake when the role was issued with his insomnia.
Unknown2009-03-22 12:41:51
Claiming on the first day... Interesting. If Jack's really a bomb, it's less likely that he's pro-town, in my opinion. Plus it's a great blanket claim that can be used as an argument for not lynching (see: we lose two townies if you lynch me) and as a deterrent against nightkills. Volunteering information like that can tip either way in terms of town or scum tell, so I'll go with the first bit and...

Yeah, I can't really see why Jack brought attention to himself first thing. It seems like it might be an attempt to give himself some breathing room for a few days to have time to convert more people before people realize that he may be lying and killable after all. And, since it's better than a random vote...
