Hold on, why's that? It ended fast enough already, right?

Well, I was going to have the day start on day one, but night would be at -2, so there would be three nights before day one.
Well, he had a pretty useless role, so did Silferras.

Silferras' role wasn't useless at all. It was like a serial killer except you didn't see it coming even if Shamarah scried a victim. She would have been awesome help if she didn't nub out and die to Jack.
As for the first thing...ok...you confused me, but isn't that basically what you did? I got 3 targets night 1.

On an unrelated note: You should make a Shiri Mod Game. We'll have so much fun. I'll be the lurker who always wins no matter what smart logic you use.
Diamondais2009-04-02 04:31:06
I was given no indication that Daganev was a cultist, that's why I didn't make a fuss.
The PM I got only mention Caerulo.

Bleh. First off, I was totally thrown off by the Daganev vs Shiri thing. I wasn't lying about the blinding headache, I really couldn't analyse your posts. So I just went, screw logic, I'm going with gut instinct. Solanis really messed me up with his antics, what gives? And then we had so many lurkers who claimed they forgot about the game, and then talked so little. Shaddus, Reiha, Dugan, Renthur and Doman all talked so little, I couldn't get anything off them. And lastly, when I found out I was cultist, the role told me I don't know who my cult leader was. I had a nagging suspicion that it was either Shamarah or Daganev, so I tried to protect both. I actually held back on some details that I had on both of them as I wasn't sure which was the cultist. For one, Shamarah's ability was very convenient, he could claim he watched whoever he tried to convert, and say nothing happened. Furthermore, he was voting almost vote for vote with Shiri, and there were those strange one-liner posts. Daganev, well, after I said something about how Shiri and Daganev wouldn't get into a you're-scum-or-I'm-scum situation if they weren't both scum, I realised how it was -very- likely that they were both scum. Who knew protecting Shamarah would end up losing the game?
Edit: In reference to Diamondais' post I had even less information. I don't know who is the cult leader, but I'm told to protect Diamondais. All I knew was that there was no other cult members at the time. But what on earth does 'protect Diamondais' mean? It really confused the heck out of me.

What you said.
Yeah I had a serious lack of sleep the last couple of days. I gave into the Tekora thing, and I knew Dag wasn't playing right, but I still didn't call him on it, and then my sleepiness further confused me, blah blah blah
It didn't help that Shamarah was being so pushy... Actually I think everyone would have voted for Daganev no problem if it wasn't for the pushiness.

Night zero:
Jack- bomb Silferras- Arsonist Shamarah- watcher

Daganev-cultist
Shamarah: Shiri
Night two:
Dag: Caurelo
Shamarah: Dag
Night three:
Dag: Daimondais

I'll post a few things I learned about this style.

It would have been nice if the information about the 3 Joker conversions on Night 0 came out before I committed to bombing myself.
Anyway, great game all round. The concept is interesting enough for a rerun in future, I hope!

Ok, phew. Still, was incredibly lucky for Shamarah to have such a hit. Speaking of which, I think Daganev dug his own grave the moment he said something about redirecting. He was waffling there, trying to take both sides, which sort of confirmed for me at that point that he was the cult leader, which would explain my lack of posts for that Day. I tried to save him by throwing some suspicion on Shamarah, which only delayed the lynching. Oh well, I tried.
kiriwe2009-04-02 05:35:56
I only unvoted because he Shamarah was being so pushy.
Actually, the day we lynched Tekora, I meant to unvote before the lynch, because I was suspicious of Daganev, but I forgot to and then we lynched him
But, I think I played better this time around, and I think I'll do even better next game
I waffle too much with my votes... I have no confidence in my own abilities to sniff out scum.

I was hoping tht either you or Diamondais would realize I was the cult leader, and then come out and say that you had a redirection power...
What happened was that I converted Caerulo because I thought nobody would worry about him, and I sent him a message to protect diamondais to see how he would respond to direction if at all. Since it was clear to me that I wasn't the only night action, I was concerned that they would out me. (seriously cults have so many variat rules it's hard to know if you can trust your cult members or not)
I was stupid for not looking at what happened during the day, and should have rethought about who to convert that night instead of going with my original plan from the night I became a cult leader.
And btw, I think this message thread I had with Casilu was funny:

You have discovered it... the answer to life, the universe... everything. It was all so simple. You must spread the word at any cost.
You are a CULT LEADER now. Starting the next night, you can covert one person of your choice. They won't know who you are, but they will be able to talk to each other at night. You may speak to your flock by messaging me and I'll post it in the thead. You win when the cult is in the majority. (Note: Cultists can still be Joker-converted and count for the non-vanilla count.))

can I convert somebody tonight? Is that what we are waiting for?
Can I convert the Joker? If so, I'll CONVERT SHIRI, if I can't convert the joker, I'll have to think about who to convert
No, starting the next night!
And I seriously do have lots of work to do, and I didn't want to drag the game on knowing that I failed at getting one of my cultists to claim redirect power. My only hope was to have Shamarah doubt his own powers.
Daganev2009-04-02 15:22:29
Oh Also there was this conversation:
I am basically expecting you to win at this point.
We shall see. Don't know whats going to happen after we lynch shamarah, find him not scum, then lynch solanis and find him innocent.
btw, do I get to talk to the people I convert?
No, you're too stuck up for that, they can talk to each other, though. If you want to tell them something, you can do an anonymous message from me.
Do they know that I converted them, or just that they were converted?
Latter, so you could use an anonymous message to hint heavily at who converted him.
Are you going to be starting day soon, or will it likely be after I'm already gone? I just want to know so I can plan my day well
Whenever I get all my night actions.
Basically, I felt that if I helped to lynch shamarah, then I would end up losing anyway. I thought my only way of winning was to keep shamarah as a suspect and have him doubt that his watch ability worked. Oh well. Again, it all depends on if you can trust your cult members or not.

Heh, I thought I was being very obviously protecting Daganev when I tried to delay the lynch on him. I guess you were right about no one being suspicious about me.
As for the redirecting thing... Now I see. But, how would it have worked anyway? Even if I claimed I redirected Shamarah, how would that explain his results?
Edit: Maybe you should have converted Shamarah instead of Diamondais. He was the only other non-vanilla, which -might- mean that he was mafia, but it would have won us the game.

Shiri2009-04-03 05:09:13
The possibility that non-vanillas would cause cult leader death was out there though. Since there are no mafia in this game, and mafia are like the only thing that keeps cults in check normally since the cult leader has to make sure not to try and recruit them, it makes sense to believe that going for Shamarah would be suicidal.
