My Kethuru miniature is customized, so, 50cr plus a bazillion dead figurines.
I like the months going up or down in battles, but the decay sucks. I'd say a 5cr artifact like "a small stasis box" that holds a miniature, and a 10cr artifact called "an elegant stasis box" that holds three miniatures.
The argument that it can all be bought in stores right now is somewhat negated by the fact that normal people cannot put the upgrades on the miniatures, it has to be by someone of the tradeskill the upgrade came from.

I must have been unclear. You meant a level system to supplant decay. Pets do not decay; they only vanish if they are reduced to level 0. I propose the same for miniatures.

They last a lot longer than an IG year - mine started off with around 120~ months on it, from what I can remember.

I think it's about six IG years, which I still don't consider a lot considering the trouble one goes through to get one (and upgrade it) and then fighting it and watching it lose means all your effort is being chipped away and discarded.
