There have only been two really notable monks in recent memory. One was a kephera and the other was a lobo.

If you are going pure offense, my best guess is Krokani or illithoid. Don't underestimate the native weapon bonus.

Yeah, I burn nearly up all of my ego just setting up psymet def's. Kinda scarey actually. Introspection is so much more important now. I hardly made a dent in my ego with either bloodboil or setting up def's as an illithoid. I can't imagine being a lower level psymet lobo.

You're talking huge numbers in stats every melee combatant dreams to have PLUS pseudo-scent PLUS ego inflation and the catch is that you look really really really really ugly.

In fact you look so ugly that penumbra ups you 2 points of cha.

But who cares? It's a text game. Grotesqueness is part of the awesome rp and only noticeable by certain persons.

Illithoid are dead sexy. And penumbra gives everyone two charisma if nothing else is already weighing it.

I want to see a monk who uses the ego transmute skill in their tanking (yes it will stop their offense temporarily but they will be a bear to freakin kill).

My analysis though

Lobo:
14 str, 15 dex, 16 con
lvl 3 health regen
lvl 1 resist to cold fire and poison
lvl 2 weakness to magic

Illithoid
11 str, 17 dex, 16 con
Lvl 2 regen underground
lvl 1 resist to psychic
Mindsense
NATIVE WEAPON is a BIG perk here, the speed can get pretty crazy
Illdrain is great if do you have psymet
lvl 2 weakness to magic

Brute stats vs utility

Its more based on your personal style than anything.


Btw Illithoid have better int so you have more mana (dont die to mana kills as easy), and illdrain means you dont die well to ego kills.

Also, with weapon stats, I never really noticed that much of a speed difference between 115 and 120 speed shofa.

I was curious to know if you are a female keph with that horrible dex stat of 8, but yet the tahto speed is like 200+ would it really make a difference anywhere there? Or will it make up for what the dex lacked?

Dex doesn't effect rebalance time.

In addition, many kephera, male or female, have done very well as Tahtetso and Shofangi.

Speed has nothing to do with dex.

Female keph bashing will be crap though.

Monk damage is dependent on dex and strength. Don't go female kephera monk.

Female Kephera AR a damn good Guardian race though.
