I was just wondering if anyone could give a small summary of what each statistic played a part in (and what kind of things they affect)

Strength
Dexterity
Constitution
Intelligence
Charisma
Size

Or possibly direct me to another post where they're explained.

Thanks!

Have you read HELP STATS and HELP SIZE? Or did you mean slightly larger then that when you said 'small'? tongue.gif

He he, I actually didn't know about the HELP SIZE file, so that cleared up some stuff! (Thanks!)

I had read the HELP STAT file... I don't know why I wasn't satisfied when I read it the first time, but now that I think about it, there really isn't too much more that I can know about those things... Ha ha. Basically, for magic user, intelligence is important. Is that about it? (we don't have a second statistic like fighters do (with strength and dexterity).

Bards are affected by charisma as well. For mages, druids, wiccans, and guardians, pretty sure its just int.

Being really fast helps everyone. So Dexterity isn't just good for fighers.

Erm, Dexterity doesn't increase speed.

Edit: People always get confused by this. Dexterity means skill with using your hands. It is not a synonym for agility or speed.

Strength - increases damage and wounding for warriors and slightly increases damage for monks
Dexterity - increases chance of getting better afflictions via wounding for warriors along with wounding itself, also increases monk damage and chance to dodge warrior attacks via stancing
Constitution - increases health
Intelligence - increases mana, increases damage of magic users, increases damage for bards
Charisma - increases ego, also increases damage for bards (about 50/50 with int): also increases "ego damage" via influence/debating, and lessens eq time of influence
Size - smaller sizes writhe/tumble faster but are stunned longer/moved more easily: opposite for larger sizes. Every 3 points higher than your "natural" size = +1 strength and -1 dex, every 3 points below = +1 dex and -1 strength.

Don't think I've missed anything?

They removed the tumble/writhe/stun factor from size.

Figures! As soon as I look at the bright side of my size, they take it away.

Then what's the point?
Kiradawea2009-04-09 14:36:58
dex/str changes only. And blocking.

Ya...why'd they do that?

It makes RP sense, and it made size actually matter...

Small sized had too many advantages, so they tried to balance them out more. Now there's no point in being a small size when you can be size 25 instead. tongue.gif

So they slanted it in the other direction. Changing nothing. The parting on the left is now a parting on the right, and the beards have all grown longer overnight...

Wait, what?

I was just thinking that there is no reason for anyone other than a warrior or monk to be anything but size 1...
