I'm wanting to design an axe or two that will only be available to Tynghall and his family members. In general, I'm not quite sure what the restrictions are on axe designs. Since they're two-handed, how long are they going to be in general? Does it matter whether the axehead is double-bladed? Will the different kinds of axes have different weights or shaft lengths?
Any information on restrictions of such things is helpful. Thanks in advance.

Make it an allconsuming engine of destruction.

That's completely within common sense restrictions.
Edit: It will also be possessed by one of the demon lords, telling Tynghall to shed more bled so that it might be fed.

as long as there is no magic invovlved, there are no restrctions.

I knew that anything magic-y would be restricted, and with good reason.
Thanks.
Thanks.

It's a shame forgers are so screweed. It would be really nice to be able to incorporate Flirestones and Powerstones into a weapon.

Sure, if you didn't have to forge something decent out of it after you design it.

I'm kind of glad you can't do that. For one, the commodity cost would be outrageous. And secondly, the last thing we need is a bunch of warriors running around with claim to some legendary, magical weapon.

There were one handed axes under the "blade" catagory, last time I checked.

Normal people put their thoughts together coherently. If "forgers are screwed" is followed by "forgers should be able to use a disallowed commodity for effect," then the natural assumption is that you feel that the restrictions are too tight.

You mean, like they already do?

Let me rephrase. With claim to ANOTHER legendary, magical weapon.

Firestones and Powerstones are not disallowed. They, like any other form of gem CAN be used, within reason, in a weapon. Perhaps a powerstone inlay on the haft of the axe? The only issue is you'd burn through powerstones like mad with forging in it's current state.

Someone added powerstones when I wasn't looking. They were expressly disallowed as a "we'll never add this" thing in HELP TRADEMASTERS for a long time. My fault for not noticing!
