Making a long story short, there is an organization I would like to join after my character's recent revelations to a Deity and creed he wishes to pursue. I wrote up a couple of formal letters, mailed them away to the GM and Ambassador, and have gone about my business since meshing out concepts, studying combat, building rooms and waiting patiently.
The last time I attempted to join a new organization I was asked to seek out three sponsors and then wait for the return of an inactive Ambassador. After five days had gone by without any response I thought I might have been shafted and went back to my old city. The person I had contacted never replied, and with the exception of at least a couple very helpful people, others kept referring me to each other.
I am not complaining one bit, but just curious about Lusternia's status quo. I would like to know if there is something I should be doing differently or someone else I am supposed to talk to- since I could not find a help file for post-novices on the matter (which would be very helpful)
Thank you.
Er, if the people I am trying to contact reads this and feels inclined to reply, could they PM me instead? I don't really care for the attention, just the advice.

Honestly, Lusternia's been a bit busy the last couple of days for leaders in Celest, Glomdoring, and Serenwilde, what with various politicking going on.
You don't have to just stick with the GM, you're more than welcome to speak with the GA or GC or other appointed officials in the guild as well. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, since it's not required.

Sorry, but I have to take this opportunity to say that your signature is disturbing, and human/fish relations should only be described in Celest, with text, not pictures!

Seconded I have a fish phobia so it's especially creepy.
That said, I don't understand why you're limiting yourself to the GM & Ambassador, especially if they're not responsive. Most other leaders will be more than happy to facilitate this for you. If people keep referring you to each other, I don't see how a simple "well they told me to talk to you; could you guys work this out and let me know" followed up by a "so now who do I talk to" wouldn't clear things up.
Honestly it doesn't sound like you're trying very hard not to say that you're obligated to, since it's a game, but it seems counterintuitive that you're having this much difficulty... unless people for some reason don't like you and are avoiding you, which does happen (mostly with especially annoying newbs) but doesn't seem too likely to be happening to you.

The first time was strange. I explained the situation, but people abruptly stopped speaking to me at random points in our conversation. I imagine that they were logging/dropping out or suddenly became busy, and that was at a time when my schedule only allowed me to play at off-peak times.
It isn't that I am being counter-intuitive this time around (I think), I just haven't taken the next step yet, and thought I would ask here before I did.
I appreciate the help.

Still creepy =p but, I hope it works out.

Well mostly I think you should just try to approach anybody in that organization, barring novices and other semi-newbies, and let them know you're interested in joining the organization. At least in Celest, typically whomever you approach will ask over the aether for someone who can help citizen so and so, and someone who will be able to will respond or everybody will be busy in which case you just try again at a different time. Should be fairly easy though it does suck if you have inactive ministers etc.

Forgive me - I saw your letter last night, Vhaas, but I've been very, very forgetful from Friday as I've had the flu of a lifetime, with fever and everything imaginable. This is not the usual me, though.

Vhaas is going to join Glomdoring -after- I leave it?
You could also speak to any member of the ruling council, the guild leaders, and any high ranking aides to the Ambassador.

More often than not, people just get preoccupied. You're on the right track, but like Xenthos said, go to other guild leaders, and you can also say something to those on the Ruling Council.

The Nekotai is getting more active in activities, like ongoing contests and secretly, I heard that there's gonna be new rites written up.
Oooh~ We need more people! >:3
