I have recently adorned what I thought was a magnificent pair of pungent meat robes. At first glance, they seemed glorious... but upon closer inspection I realized that my character is literally walking around in robes made of rotten animal flesh and fat, with bacon for cuffs around his wrists. I just want to take them off.
The problem is they're cursed. So not only are they aesthetically repulsive and lacking proofs, but they are stuck on me for the next 56 months until they decay? I'm an enchanter, it seems to me I should be able to disenchant them. Surely there is some way to disenchant these that perhaps I don't know about?
Help!

Uh, what's wrong with your robes? Sounds hot to me, and I bet the mutts will love it.

Where are those, around the hips or on the lower back?

The problem has been resolved thanks to my resilient stomach lining and Lord Eventru.

Hey, if you want to get unraveling rifts should only be 15 minutes base and 7 with the needle, I'll get cursing the month after this coming one.
(Seriously, what's with a skill that requires you to stand still and do essentially nothing for 30 minutes? And why do I have to use an envoy slot on it? )

I must take the blame for sewing said meat robes.
It seemed like a good idea at the time!

So is cursing there to prevent stealing/vestiphobia? What is its actual function?
Acrune2009-04-23 03:29:38
Ok, here's the plan. I'll tailor a bunch of frilly things, someone can curse them for me, and I'll go looking for afk folks. *pet telepathy*
Who wants to enchant?

I was just thinking that. You could seriously ruin someone's defenses with a cursed shirt.
Simimi2009-04-23 03:56:31
so curse's function is....?

Curse prevents you from removing things. The most straightforward use is to prevent theft, but why let the straightforward use be the only use?
Unknown2009-04-23 06:02:23
I'm sorry, but the most straightforward use is to stick frilly pink dresses that they can't remove onto macho fighters. The anit-theft thing takes some thinking about to come up with and really isn't a good way to do that anyways.
Unknown2009-04-25 21:17:33
Cursing+Telepathy could really ruin somebody. Stick them in pants and a shirt, a hat, a bunch of unenchanted jewlery, etc.
Narsrim2009-04-25 21:43:33
You used to be able to rub cursed stuff to get the curse to fade so you could remove it. Although it was buggy and din't always work.

In that case, I'm cursed, and the only way I'll go away is if people rub me enough .
