How about warriors get momentum like monks? Discuss.

How about monks can wear plate like warriors? Discuss.
Or have 280 speed /540 precision/400 damage weaponry.
Or have a viable instakill when not tahtetso?
Everiine2009-04-25 14:34:54
Let's not poison the rest of the classes with systems that don't work.

For a second there, that almost sounded like a monk complaining about a warrior. But to agree with Everiine, no, one class having a broken and overpowered combat mechanic is enough, lets not pass it around.

How about mages get wounding afflictions like warriors?
How about guardians get demesnes like mages?
How about wiccans get investable powers like guardians?
How about druids get ents like wiccans?
How about monks get sap like druids?

They can get their own cudgels, they just don't need to wield them to raise them.

I support this.
For entirely selfish reasons with no regards to balance, but I do.
edit: It was sarcasm, in case I wasn't clear.

I like the idea too, really. It just doesn't make much sense.
Vhaas2009-04-25 17:52:58
I want Domination, Crystalism, and Knighthood.

I like the idea because I am a Warrior, but I would also like it because it would add some extra depth to Axelord combat past knockdownology. Although I definitely disagree with momentum in the broken monk sense, a different version would rock. Number-wise, momentum is a lot like energy for rogues in WoW. And a warrior version would be like rage... but in Lusternia, it would be called Focus.
For instance, with every hit you land (or possibly, every hit that lands on you,) your Focus increases up to a maximum of 100. There would be skills that use a preset amount of Focus for the attacks. 25 points would get you a free powered strike, 50 would get you an extra attack that doesn't take balance, 75 would get you a short-term buff that makes poisons always stick, and 100 Focus would get you a short term speed buff. Or whatever keeps with game balance and adds some variety to the constant (and somewhat boring) grind of wound building.

Why would you want Druidry and Night together? That's silly. Druidry/Tahtetso/Healing, please.

Sap and choke don't stack. We never actually exploited this, but if you were sitting prepared in old-school choke, you could sap yourself and move faster than everyone else.
Celina2009-04-25 20:46:39
Night, tahtetso, wildarrane.
Dakkhan2009-04-25 21:41:09
Can we please stick to ideas instead of talking about our dream skills? As much as I'd like to have Nihilism, Moon, and Geomancy... it's never going to happen.

You can't wield a tahto and an instrument at the same time so I don't see that working out too well.
